When you have success; you need someone to meet your match to make a power couple. A lot of successful guys marry "normal" girls. |
he told me that he was the eldest of 6 children He wanted you to think that he's responsible. he lied about his surname and claimed another man as his father He has familial wahala and childhood issues. he told me that he was going to further his education in oklahoma whereas he's presently in kenya. He told you that to impress you- but you Can't trust him. How can you marry or be with someone who can't get their shit together and then lies on top of it? One day it will be "Baby I paid the light bill" then the lights will go out. "Baby I paid the bills" Then the repo man will come. "Baby she's just a friend" then she'll have his baby. My sister I have no tolerance for liars and neither should you; if her hasn't learnt that the truth has no friends or enemies; he's not ready for marriage. My advice: Drop him like it's hot. |
Thanks do you know where I can get it? Like a site or something. I can't get it on Limewire. |
Why am I thinking of you? |

Sometimes I watch OBE and I see this music video. It has three young women and a guy but it's really the ladies' song. The chorus is "Make we live together, Make we live together" They sing really well and in Yoruba (I think) and there's a rap where they name check all the major tribes; Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Folani The video has a lot of footage of past happenings in Nigeria. The sound is kind of neo-soul ish Please help me find it. One. |
Stop talking to her boyfriend. Draw those boundaries because as a sister (I know from experience) you have to be the one who watches her boyfriend and make sure he doesn't hurt her. Don't be too amicable to him because if they split, you will be insulting him and comforting your sister. Singling rivalry is instinctual however If you've seen Blood Sisters you'll know to keep boyfriends away from your sister. |
nosakhare:You see? You put too much pressure on her. You saw them as compliments but they were also high expectations and she probably felt that you don't see her as she is; instead you see her as you want to. Love her with all her flaws and let her know that. When you don't put pressure on someone, they're more confident to give more to and improve the relationship. |
It means "She's human." Don't expect celestial behaviour- she makes mistakes. Basically she doesn't want you to set insurmountable expectations of who you think she should be; love her with her faults. |
As long as we respect each others' beliefs, I would. |
when: She's permanently employed with a good income, educated, responsible, has a stable and commited relationship with a man and has mental stability and maturity. Whatever age she is THEN- when she wants to. |
Badman888, I was angered- deeply angered by what I witnessed. Now I am calmer- thank you. lol ![]() |
What the F*uck are you talking about? I watch part 1 and was disgusted at how he became more of an a*sshoole and the film progressed. I've yet to see part 2 but I know that she shouldn't have married him anyway. It's one of the most partriarchally loaded bulls*hit films I've seen in a long time. I started off liking it- when she was making shakara but then she lost her edge, nope not the best. Not even close. |
Please God stop the pain! My ears are deceiving me!!!!!!! Please Lord say it ain't so!!!!!!! These are the thoughts that ran through my mind as I unplugged my headphones when listening to 3 of OmoTs records. I took my curious ass to Limewire and found some tracks. Lord no! Her voice make me shake because I was so shocked and appalled at how bad she is. BTW Why is there a Jamaican man on her records? She's Nigerian!!!! Thanks for the heads up guys, you were right- she's terrible. Awww that was painful./ |
I have seen it but now I want to. She has a beautiful voice and she doesn't have to try like the others. Much Love and Respect to Stella!!! |

I wouyld be shocked and hurt that they didn't tell me about anything else. OBVIOUSLY lack of TRUST is the biggest issue and I couldn't marry someone who wwould keep life-changing things from me. i wouldn't discriminate against their being Positive but I would be really hurt by the fact that they didn't tell me in the first place and therefore stole my decision to say yes. |
Dont get me wrong I love Genny and Omotola as actresses but when music is involved Stella Damasus Aboderin reigns supreme and wipes the floor with her counterparts. She has a fantastic, natural voice. Just watch Behind Closed Doors. |
I want a girl to empower to raise her to be a progressive, respectful, dignified black man. I want a boy to empower to raise him to be a progressive, respectful, dignified black woman. I got knowledge to share and love to give, regardless of their gender. Raise your kids so they don't grow up to rob us all. |
So I take it that her music sucks? |
Amen Afeni! It'a beautiful blessing from God. Besides I'm offended by many hetero-marriages I've witnessed. |
