Every parent has a breaking point. What's yours? What would it take for your folks to disown you? Prostitution? Partaking in pornography? Teenage pregnancy? Drugtaking? Premarital sex? Homosexuality? Getting arrested/going to jail? Throwing a house party (without their knowledge or consent)? I still haven't figured out my folks' boiling point. |
Acting easy and cheap makes you look easy and cheap and I bet you weren't. There's nothing wrong with kissing on the date. If I felt the timing was right on the first date- then I would. |
I'd call him "My only" because he'd be the only one I was F****** |
I would marry for these three reasons together: Love, Compatibility (with each other and sexually) and Stability (financial and mental.) |
For me I would like to dine with Taye Diggs, Tyrese, Morris Chestnut or Mark Consuelos. #sexy boyyyyyyyyyyyyyy |
God is proof that there is no perfection. My quote should read "improv" as in improvisation - not improve. Godd write dramtic storylines and we live out (improv) the large parts in between. |
The race is not given to the swift; nor the battle to the strong, but to the one who endureth Is one of the few bible quotes I relate to life. To me; it's means Life is not a sprint it's a marathon. Through being consistently diligent you will succeed and gain the most. The time and chance thing is about destiny. What is menat to be will be and all that. Peace and prosperity |
Comparing a barber to God is preposterous and so was the original post. If the barber gives someone a bad haircut; humanity is not affected however as the bible decribes on numerous occasions, when God gets pissed off or makes a mistake people die. |
Being in any religion that believes in God means accepting God as being Omniscient and Omnipresent. Therefore God is responsible for all negative things that humans can't cause (natural disasters and tectonic activity.) God created Evil (come on we all know it.) Humans use the things that God created such as evil as they see fit. I don't think it's right but those are the facts. See life as a soap opera written by God which we act out and improv at times. |
@ exu That was brilliant. It's true- religion is private. The Bible is supposed to be questioned; if not we would have all killed each other for something or other tat the Old Testament says. The fact is; we don't know what God thinks of us. __________________________________________________________ @ exu I believe in God but I don't live with what God thinks of me in mind. if I did, I would never do anything out of my own volition/kindness/selflessness. I would just do it out of fear of condemnation. ________________________________________________________ What I find funny, is how people can berate others while using their religion as justification. They can aim to reduce a person to nothing with their sense of religious superiority and still think that they are doing God's work. That's comical my friends. |
@Rhodalyn It said life is intoxicating Meaning it gets u drunk, |
Life is tumultuous. |
Tell her that she's a adulterous tramp. Infidelity is disgusting and to bring that into the house shopws a total lack of respect for her husband and her self. Tell her to tell him or you will. It's not right. No one deserves to be living with an adulterer. |
I could never marry someone who was cheating on me. And so shamelessly in your house. That shows that she doesn't respect you or your home. Since she saw her girlfriend as being so important that she would risk your relationship then you should leave them to it. The biggest punishment is regret. |
How many times do you want to see Genny and Ramsey play forbidden lovers? I know it doesn't happen anymore however at the time it did and way too much. I think that typecasting can stifle talent. There are people in Nollywood who aren't being stretched enough to realise their full potential. |
In the films I've seen, the characters he's gotten with have been out of his league; better than him if you will. |
@ Eveseh I don't think that Jim Iyke would be the brightest crayon in the box either. He has played a rapist way too much. The reason why i thought he would get girls out of his league was because I've seen him in films with Genny, Stephanie Okereke, Lilian Bach, Alex Lopez and others who are waaaaaaaay out of his league. Thinking about it; Jim Iyke would be the guy who spiked the drinks at parties. |
Do you feel that producers and directors in Nollywood typecast actors? If so, is it due to the actors inabilty to play other characters or just because of popular demand? For example; I have seen Nkem Okoh play various variations of the Osuofia character, and Jim Iyke play a rapist more times than I care to recall. In Jim Iyke's film she has raped his way through some of my favourite (and the best) actresses in Nollywood e.g. Genny (Promise me forever), Kate Henshaw-Nuttal (Love, sex and marriage), Stephanie Okereke (Last Girl standing), Dakore Egbuson (Shattered Illusion). |
Genny's in Ghana studying. She's in Uni. She said that she would never go to Uni in Naija because the producers and directors bribed her out of UNILAG when she was 18. They were offering her jobs and the loot was calling her name. Go Genny, get your education. Education is a priority. |
@ ddizzle I went on your site - very nice job, I hope you get to meet her because you put in that much effort. I'm a Genny fan and I was very pleased. I read an article about Bachelors and Bahelorettes in Nollywood and it said that Empress Njamah (I haven't seen any of her performances to decide who she would be at Nollywood High) came out an declared that she dated him and he beat her. The same article said that he dated Genny but she didn't make any public statement. Therefore I thought it would be appropriate. But for future legal wahala: The original post "If Nollywood Was A School" is fictional and any resemblance to (actual) people is strictly confidential. So don't sue me because I have no money and don't sue Nairaland for being the host to these "coincidental" opinions. BTW- When will the Infamous Seun reply? |
A mon avis, Zeal is hot because he's a chocolate man and I love chocolate men (Tyson Beckford, Tyrese and Taye Diggs for example) Shifi looks the most manninsh out of the three and that's sexy. Tunde looks like a guy group member and he has a nice chest. So i won't choose. |
@Spitfire Not only is she playing games with your head but she's also emotionally unstable and doesn't know what (or who) she wants. it's not fair for her to rope you in to all of this indecision and therefore you should sever the ties for your own safety. |
She was cheating on you!!! Duh. The immaculate conception only happened once my friend. |
Because we're African and don't have time to do that. African girls aren't raised to be video girls. We're raised to be educated. Besides; we have too much familial pressure and would be disgraced (by them) if relatives saw us shaking it in music videos. |
I wouldn't dump them because they were HIV Positive. I would dump them if they knew and didn't tell me. Then they couldn't have trusted me and I can't trust them. I would ask them every question I ever had. I would stay in the relationship if they didn't know to begin with and if I wanted to marry them I would, We just wouldn't have kids together physically; we would adopt. I would make it work. Just as long as they didn't lie. |
If we were dating; 30-40% If we were engaged; 60-70% If we were married; 80-90% - Never give them everything. If they leave you won't know where to turn. But to God- 100% every time. |
Don't have one. It makes me happy that my names are African. However many parents give their children English names to use in school and they believe that it will help them to get a job later on in life. |
@ Efani Are you preoccupied with the devil or something? If you're onw of God's people put your energy into God. |
