So this is a term I picked up the last time I was in the market for a motor mount.

Apperance is a term used by car part sellers and simply means taking a cheap brand new chinese part and roughing it up to look like a toks part

That of new parts is minimal, it's very rampant in fairly used suspension parts.

You fix your suspensions (shocks, control arms, C. V joints etc)

Your mechanic collects the old ones and sells them off to a mallam dealing on scrap metals.

The mallam in turn sells them to a parts dealer who in turn calls an Ugwuagba man.

Ugwuagba man refurbish the old parts for a token and return them to parts dealer

Parts dealer mixes condemned oil with fuel and sprays on the refurbished parts to give it appearance.

Guys buys them back as tokunbo parts and the cycle continues.

I use a Honda civic 06 and I noticed most times when gear changes from 1 to 2 the motor jerks. Most recently the D light started blinking and car won't even move on D. I got a mechanic who serviced the transmission sensor and changed the oil but the problem persisted. I got it scanned and it pulled a P0776 pressure control solenoid B performance and at this point I'm confused cos my mechanic is saying I would need to replace the gear box.

Replace gear, most likely fluid has changed color and that is because the fibres are burnt

I changed the abs sensor, the break has disappeared but VSA and ABS remains. Will fix it this weekend

The sensor did not cause the brake light to disappear.
The VSA & ABS lights indicates that the ABS sensor or module is bad.

Hi sirs, for sometime now, my 2012 crv gives this rattling sound when I start the can in the morning. Just only first starting of the day. Someone said it's the VTC actuator that's is bad and that changing it will only cease the sound temporarily. He further said its Honda issue.

Has anyone gone through same issue? How did you solve it please?

The car drives perfectly well and I am not comfortable with those codes showing on the dash, my electrician cleared them but they keep coming back. What can be done pls?

Hello Family, My Honda pilot 2010 Vibrates when i apply brakes at > 60 MPH, My mechanic gave me the following bill for parts.
CARICO Brake discs 1 Pair - 35,000
ASIMCO Brake pads (front and back pairs) - 25,000
asides from workmanship.
I feel it’s overpriced so i thought to throw it to the house.

Also, The vehicle is currently having problems going over 3,000RPMs, it seems to stall at 3,000RPMs after driving for a while.

The brake discs are ₦15,000, the Asimco pads are ₦10,000 for front and back but what you need to change is the front.


The rpm issue is probably the VCM but you will need to scan first

Sounds like your car gear does not deselect well, possibly bad quality gear oil inside it.

Holts is not advisable for Honda vehicles.
