Hello, please after driving my honda accord 2002 for a while (10-15mins) it jerks/jolts when coming to a complete stop. It also has a jerk when moving from the 1st to 2nd gear.

Having issues with your gear shift solenoid.

Things to avoid if you don't want to roast your brainbox(ECU)

-- Do not jump start your vehicle with extra battery, just remove and use a good battery to start.

-- Do not bridge your burnt fuses with copper wire, replace blown fuse.

-- Avoid flooded terrains, if your vehicle gets flooded, remove brainbox and let it dry, don't crank your car with wet brainbox.

--Don't let boda Kazeem join wires for you, especially fan wires, trace faulty wiring harness issues and replace when necessary.

-- Stop testing kick-starters, fuel pumps or bulbs with your car battery and car body as terminals.

--Disconnect battery terminals before embarking on any repairs on your vehicle.

-- Make sure battery are connected to right terminals before you start your vehicle, -ve to negative and -+ to positive, wrong terminal connection roasts ECUs.

I just switch off the engine and start up again, for now i didn't notice the jerking again, but the gear transition is notice at every interval.

My colleague advice i change the gear oil, the oil was change last in Oct 2018

What type of gear fluid was used, if not the genuine DW1, flush gear and refill.

Your vehicle may have a bad or unavailable resonator, popularly called down air flow meter.

My curse. Since I bought my 07 Accord, this has been a nightmare. Changed the mounts, throttle body, coils, plugs too but it still persists. I don zero my mind dey drive am like that.

Good people of the house, kindly bail me out! It's a 09 accord i4, 2.5l which I just changed all engine mounts to original Belgium. Yet the engine vibrations persist. When ever at stops, or when I just engage the drive or reverse gears and the car is at idle, the vibrations come up, with or without AC, same vibes. But when in Park or Neutral, the cabin is sound and calm as factory setting. No CEL or codes. It's embarrassing. Several mechanics told me it's engine seatings before now. Only one of the old seatings was apparently bad, yet I changed all to avoid future stories , but the vibes continue. Pls help a brother out.

Just stick with recommended fluids for engine and gears.

My CR-V 08 was impacted. Had to change the radiator and, fans and some body work. The mechanic earlier suggested i change the gear/transmission sensor cos it was impacted. When he came back, he said he was able to fix the sensor but i may notice some revving sound when moving.
Drove the car today and noticed the revving sound once i hit 40km/h but the noise disappeared almost immediately. I had to slow dwn for traffic and all of a sudden the car died and refused to start. Only warning light on was the blinking "- Drive" sign.

The mechanic i called said it was most likely the sensor that caused it and the engine has "knocked". Engine doesnt turn even after the belt has been removed.

The mech advised i buy a half engine(around 220k with servicing) or replace crankshaft, sensors and the likes with 100k.
My challenge is if his submission is right and if the crankshaft option is viable. I dnt really have money for a half engine nw though but wont want to waste 100k either.

What are the cost of the parts?
