Good evening great writers, my name is Mabelly, an astute reader of Nairaland and its literatures. I recently launched my own website and i’m hoping to have a literature segment where stories will be published for the viewing pleasure of the public.

After going through some of the literatures on here and the great talents that abound, I decided to humbly use this medium to request for your stories to be published on my website. Every story will be credited to the writer with his or her name written at the bottom with due publicity.

There is a chance Buhari could be worse than jonathan, there is a chance he would be better, but there is no chance GEJ would be better than GEJ.

Air Crashes, Weekends and Sacrificial Circles
By Femi Fani-Kayode
Every single major air crash in Nigeria in the
last 10 years has taken place on a weekend.
EAS Airline crashed in Kano on June 4th 2002
resulting in the loss of 77 souls. This took
place on a weekend. Bellview Airlines crashed
in Lisa village just outside Lagos on 22oct
2005 resulting in the loss of 117 souls. This
took place on a…weekend. Sosolisso Airline
crashed in Port Harcourt on 10 December
2005 resulting in the loss of 108 souls. This
took place on a weekend. ADC crashed in
Abuja on 29th Oct. 2006 resulting in the loss
of 105 souls. This took place on a weekend.

A Nigerian military plane crashed in Oko
village, Benue state on Sept. 17th 2006 with
the loss of 15 Generals of the Nigerian Army.
This took place on a weekend. Wings Aviation
Airline crashed on March 15th 2008 in Cross
Rivers state with the loss of 3 souls. This took
place on a weekend. In 2009 and 2010 there
were a series of small light aircraft crashes,
an airforce jet crash and helicopter crashes in
Kano, Lagos and Kaduna that took place each
resulting in the loss of life. They mostly took
place on a weekend. An OAS Helicopter
crashed in Ife Odan in Osun state on 29th
July 2011 resulting in the loss of three lives.
This took place on a weekend.
On June 2nd 2012 A Nigerian cargo plane
shot off the runway into the highway behind
Accra’s Kotoka Int.Airport resulting in the
deaths of 10 Ghanaian souls that were
driving past the airport in a bus. This took
place on a weekend. The following day on
June 3rd 2012 Dana Air crashed into a
residential area in the suburbs of Lagos
resulting in the loss of 176 souls. This took
place on a weekend.
Curiously the Dana crash of June 3rd, 2012,
took place exactly 10 years and one month
(less one day) after the EAS crash of 3rd May
2002 took place. This clearly represents the
end of a 10 year sacrificial cycle.Another
curious fact is that there had been an earlier
ADC Airline plane crash on 7th November
1996 in which 142 souls had perished.
Exactly 10 years (less 9 days) later, on 29th
Oct 2006, another ADC Airline plane crashed
again with the loss of 105 souls. This again
represents the end of a ten year sacrificial
cycle.

BusinessLetting Out Bag Production Running Into Millions by mabelly(op): 10:52am On Nov 19, 2012
How do i start this. Ok, there is this friend of mine that has been given a contract to produce bags for a group of people, she is sacred of nt getting the job done as at due time for she operates on a retail level and has been contracted to produce 500bags on or before 31st of Dec 2012. This production is huge to her, so she is planning on turning it down because she doesnt have the necessary resources to get the job done before due date. the profit margin is too huge for me to let go so am advising her to also contract it to a big bag producing company in Nigeria that can get the bags done in time. The challenge now is that we dont know of any company that does bag production in Lagos, Nigeria. I am using this medium to ask my dear nlanders, please do you know of any bag producing company? Thanks in anticipation of your response.

atbu1983: . Let me see how u will be happy by d time ur 10year old child is hawking pure water in d street. The only difference btw a 10yr old child hawking pure water in d street and another 10yr old child in british international school is simply d security(wealth) of the two parents. The most impotant tin is dat there shd be money in d family. Whether it comes from d woman or d man is immaterial to d unborn child. So dont give birth if ur child hapiness is not impotant. It is not compulsory to have a child.
hmmm, where shud i start frm. In this lyf, there wud be the rich as wel as d 'poor', so ur rich as a lady it wil rub-off ur children and same if ur poor. If u dcide to choose happiness (which includes love etc) in dciding who to get married to as a lady then u must be prepared to be financial independent for d sake of unborn children, evry1 and things around you. This issue of tryin to secure your future by getting married to som1 ur nt rili into cud to said to be due to the economic situation and most importantly, the lazy nature of some nigerian lady. What we shud be preaching is for nigerian ladies to be financially independent rada dan trading their happiness for financial independence.
No body promised eternal wealth by getting married to dat man u didnt love because of money, table turns. If money finish nko?!

atbu1983: will u chose love ahead of security? I will advice my sister anyday anytime to choose security over love. Security will guarantee a good life for her kids. Her children will be better for it. "Love" will only make her hapi for short time. Wen life difficulties set in, love(passion) will die. Her children will live poor. I can remember when i was young, we all envy children (schoolmate) who has rich parents. With thier fine bags, driver dropping them in school, driver coming to pick them after school. We never care to know how thier mother or father looks like. We never envied those who had beautiful mother or handsome father. We envied those who are well taken care of.
Are u living ur lyf for d unborn children or for a fulfilled, happy and funfilled lyf cos dis days i dnt undstnd nigerians tryin to secure d lyf of dia unborn children by leveraging on dia own happiness.mtcheeeww. I blif if u r independent financially as a lady u dnt need to trade ur happiness for ur unborn children, so all ladies shud strive to be financially independent. Abeg ooo

stpat1: On the venue issue, I suggest we make use of a decent public school. This is because the meeting will be best held in an enclosure for sound clarity and to ensure unfavourable weather does not hamper the program. The school seats and tables will also avail people to sit and jot comfortably.

Then light refreshment can be sponsored by a few of us that volunteer to do so. So for that we have to have a rough knowledge of the number of people we are expecting.

Just a suggestion. Better ones are welcome
This is a very nice suggestion, i never thought of it. We could consider private schools as well, leveraging on proper publicity of the school on this forum if allowed to make us of the school.
@pacemaker and El matteo, please for the purpose of our goal, lets not derail the thread or turn it into a battle field where superiority is the trophy.
Once again am pleading with everybody, lets set our mind and energy on the success of this project for at the end we will be glad we did.

eleven: Your above comment is not fair on @El Mateo...We shouldn't be addressing ourselves in this manner.

Also attitude like above does not encourage people to speak their minds for fear of being rejected or abused.

In every idea generated meetings all comments and suggestions should be welcomed.

Every great idea today was viewed as nonsense yesterday. Nonsense is the raw material for sense.

I hope you understand me and apologize to him.

Please I am yet to get my form...my email address again is: imoisilis@yahoo.com

For new entrants like me who still trying to catch up...I think one of the ways we can catch quickly is print the whole page or alternatively convert it to PDF and read as a thread instead of opening pages.

Will be back shortly on how to convert it PDF file. Thank you
will be sending the form to you very soon

BusinessRe: Guys, Let's Talk Business by mabelly:
How to create wealth is all around us, only if we open our minds enough to see where it flows from.
I dont really dig internet business but that doesnt mean its not working for others.
I see young graduates complain no job and how difficult it is to make ends meet. Buh i tell you, the ability and willingness to absolve oneself in the process of learning, continous searching, mind flexibility in regards business ideas/opportunities would make awhole lot of difference. There are alot of opportunities one can tap into as a starter without sinking millions of naira into it and one of such is what i termed ''commodity arbitraging'' (to be continued).
The Nigeria's Business and Entrepreneurs Coalition is going to be a platform where members would come together to analyse, support, share and work with their different business ideas/opportunities also in line with what stpat1 as mentioned above its going to be a platform where members could be business partners, source for investor, links would be established, team could be built, member would support one another in achieving their altimate goal and etc.
As some one rightly said, team work might just be what you need to succeed.
