Questions for OP

1. How did you marry your wife?
2 How long did it take you to convince her?
3. Were you a bug to her before she gave to have her peace?
4. Was she in love with another and you plucked her away?
5. Did you blackmail her with gifts to get her to say yes?
6. Did she marry you because you trained her in school?
7.Do you have kids now?
8. Is it possible that you punish her when you get to make love, like discharging your content before your rod gets inside?
9. Do you know if she has or had lesbian tendencies?
10. is there anything she has been asking you for which you have not met?

Finally, you had sex last at xmas and her mother came at xmas any connections? Reason i'm asking is that the only advise she could give to you is to shower her with love and did not even say she would talk to her daughter

winkI'm confused my wife of 10 years is beginning to act funny.
She walks around the house unclothed but avoid any kind of physical contact with me.

I'm 49 she is 35. I luv her and still lust over her, if I suggest let's hv an early night she wud rather stay up late- watching home videos !
She has also avoided kiss or cuddling. The last we had sex was at Christmas.
I do everything for her. I cook, clean and iron, buy her nice expensive things, yet. I paid for her mum's n sister's ticket to visit us last Xmas despite I was skint, I now hv so much debt that I will never be able to pay back.

I hv never had a reason to suspect my wife of infidelity but at this point i'm getting confused.

I summoned the courage and spoke to her mum abt it,  she suggested I "show my wife more love n shower her with more goodies", as if I wasn't doing enuf, that it cud b she is having  mid-life crises. I don't know but I think I buy her a lot already. I can't remember the last tine I went shopping  for myself. Im really tired but I can't afford a divorce at this age.

Are there married men out there having/had same or similar experience ?  Kindly advise me .

NEXT UPDATE AFTER A FEW WEEKS

Hello people, I thank u immensely for the time u all have taken to drop a comment on this issue.
I acted on ur advise(s) and explained to the man that if he wants his wife back he wud need to change. Change his way. I explained to him these points as u advised.

1) He wud need to start being more manly. Being more assertive with the wife. Mking a point and sticking to it.

2) he needs to cut down on the plate washing and culinary activities. If he comes home and there is no food he shd either walk out, go buy kebab or fish n chip, walk back to his home and theatrically munch it while shaking his head and murmuring. Or soak garri n drink it before her.

(3) he has to sort his finances out. Shd involve the wife , let her know the state of things n get her to pay some of the bills n debt even.

(4) on the sex issue, I advised him to start going clubbing n parties to get the wife n bit jealous, when he comes back from such he shd coyly hint of young 25s hitting on him, White girls asking him if he is really as big as they say. Even he shd tell her that a few of them invite him home but he proudly showed his ring to them. And talked abt how beautiful n sexy his wife is.

(5)more on the sex, as someone advised, when ever they re to engage in sex, he shd stop going down on her, he shd ensure he is in top, when he cums he shd simply get up, walk into d bathroom, wash himsef then go to the sitting room and put on the news. While she is forlorn in the bedroom. (women hate it when men do that, but wud generate more passion from her.)

(6)start checking her phone and tracking her to confirm his fears - if she is cheating. So he can make more concrete plans without sympathy and empathy.

(7) on the holiday issue, mk her not go if he can if not don't spend a kobo on it.

Gave him some other trivial advise, but Mehn wait till u hear my man response.

HIS RESPONSE

On the become more assertive:
She wud complain that he is becoming controlling. Her friends wud start making noise that he is acting like a cave man and very African.
Early in their marriage she complain a lot about the controlling issue, he promised not be like that again so he shdnt want to stir any bee hive and possibly bring a crash of their flimsily hanging marriage.

On the culinary activities:
The man told me a very annoying tale, he said it never so to b that way ooh, that suddenly he noticed his wife's used lunch plate left unwashed in the sink when he comes home at night. He cools washes it while probably hosting with d wife who might b preparing dinner. Then she graduated into expecting him to wash up their both supper dishes. After sometime she stopped washing the pots herself. Currently when he comes back from home he finds the last night used pots, the dishes, her breakfast dishes, lunch plates and garri turner, and her supper plate - that's the day she managed to cook supper.

He said it has now become his duty such that she even now wakes him up from sleep- when he doses off after his supper, and reminds him not to forget to wash the dishes before he hoes to bed ooh!.

He said he hates it, he finds it very belittling when he try's not to do the dishes she wud complain and complain that he is not helping AT ALL at home, that he shdnt forget she is taking care of the kids. The next minute the MIL is on the phone cajoling him to assist his wife nah, does he not know it tiring looking after kids. ( what kind of tiredness cud that b abeg?)

On the finances :
He thinks if he tells the wife the state of his account she wud disrespect him the more n even might break up with him knowing he has nothing- he is scare of the divorce because more than likely she wud get their house n that wud leave him wit nothing. He also has bad credit rating which wud mk it difficult for him to get even a rent, phone or anything.

Sex
She has made him lose so much confidence in himsef that he wud find it difficult going clubbing. And he finds it irritating voicing such propaganda.
I told him to masturbate before her so she knows wat she is doing to u. He simply said he can't do it.

Checking her phone:
He said he prefers to think that she is making out with other men that confirming it cos he doesn't think he can take it.

Holiday:
He doesn't want her to know he doesn't have money n can't afford the holiday. But he also cant afford to be anything part of the holiday cos it will b that he is paying for her to go sleep with other men. It breaks his heart even thinking about it.

What next can one say?

Guys, for a moment I was beginning to think in that line but that's not it. I don't think any establishment can/wud afford to b ascribe a trabalist media. SR is not a charity, they re there to make money!
The only way they make money is by having high traffic which wud inturn bring in advertisements.

Every media house simply play on the fact that IGbos are very opinionated and passionate abt their culture and persons and hence wudnt walk pass any news on them without a comment, which Drives traffic and ultimately more adverts and money!

Seun of nairaland is a fine gentleman, isn't he?  yet he feeds into this stereotype and publishes any Igbo caption to the front. So it's simply marketing. And ofcourse we Igbos wudnt fail to argue, argue n defend Igboness . A bit Silly on our part.

Go to the tribalism section and check out how many pages Yoruban bashing generates compare to the Igbo ones.

THIS IS MADNESS

how on earth does Sanusi expect a car dealer to sell this car?
card ?, cheque?

card- needs electricity and internet to function, these two we don't have adequately in the country.

cheque- tell me who wud accept a cheque from a stranger? a total stranger?

so a cement dealer who makes 400,000 in a day wud not have the means to savely deposit his money in a bank, right?

i dont know why hausa's always think so miniature. apparently he thinks no one shd be making more than 150,000 a day.

i bet some the banks wud run out of cash and go belle up soon since fewer deposits are now being made.
PoliticsAnother Sanusi Madness by macjive01(op): 1:42pm On Apr 29, 2011
To discourage the use of raw cash in economic transactions in the country, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has taken steps to promote the use of electronic payment systems.

The CBN yesterday in a circular to all banks, Cash-in-Transit (CIT) operating firms, payments system service providers, as well as money card acquirers, issuers and processors, said that the new policies, including payment of increased penalties for cash transactions by individual and corporate bank account holders, are to help reduce the high usage of cash as well as moderate the cost of cash management among operators in the country's financial system.

The CBN's director, currency operations department, Muhammad Nda, said in the circular that the increasing use of cash in transactions has dire consequences on the overall economy, particularly concerning cost of cash management to the banking industry, security, and money laundering.

To limit the negative impact on the economy, Mr Nda said the CBN has directed all deposit money banks (DMBs) in the country to ensure that, effective June 1 next year, daily cumulative free cash withdrawals and lodgements by individual and corporate customers do not exceed a maximum ceiling of N150,000 and N1 million respectively.

Cut down on cash transactions

Consequently, he said the CBN has imposed a penalty of N100 per N1000 on all individual cash transactions in excess of the limit, while corporate customers that go contrary to the new policy are to pay a fee of N200 per N1000 withdrawn above the stipulated cumulative limit.

The circular added that, "Contravention of this policy shall attract a fine of five (5) times the amount that the bank waives as a first offender, while the bank shall, subsequently, pay ten (10) times the charges waived."

Though commercial banks are allowed to charge their customers at least an interest of N5 per N1 million as cost of transaction (COT), there is no approved rate stipulated by the CBN for overdrawn accounts, as the customers are allowed at the discretion of their bankers.

With effect from June 1,this year, operators of card payment schemes, processors, switching companies, service providers, and banks risk being suspended for a month or licence revoked by the CBN, for not acquiring approved operational agreements/contracts for local currency Point of Sale (POS) card scheme.

"All financial institutions, including Deposit Money Banks (DMBs), Savings and Loans, Mortgage and Microfinance Banks shall comply accordingly. Compliance with the policy shall be monitored by the Banking Supervision Department and the Other Financial Institutions Supervision Department with appropriate sanction applied to erring institutions," the CBN warned.

Similarly, in line with the new policy, third party cheques by individual customers in excess of the N150,000 limit would no longer be eligible for encashment over the counter, as the value for such cheques will be required to go through the clearing house.

Besides, the CBN said where a bank allows a third party cheque encashment in violation of the stipulated regulation, such a bank would be made to pay higher than the sanctions between 10 per cent of the face value of the cheque and N100,000 fine.

On cash-in-transit (CIT) lodgement services rendered to merchant-customers, the CBN ordered its immediate stoppage, effective June 1, 2012, adding that customers interested in such services should engage the CBN licenced CIT operators to aid cash movement to and from their banks at agreed terms and conditions.

The new arrangement, which is to be operational initially in some major cities, including Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Kano, and Aba, attracts a fine of N1 million per specie movement for violators.

This step, many believe, would help curb incidents of violent robberies which have become common because people move huge volume of cash around.

However, there are concerns about the implementation of this new policy, especially as it would mean transiting from a cash-based economy to a near cashless one in just one month. A medical equipment supplier who gave his name as Monday, said the policy would cause some distortion in the economy in the short term.

"For instance, some of my customers always insist on cash payment before they would release their goods. How do we make this change all within one month," he asked.

He said the CBN ought to have carried out sensistisation programme to prepare Nigerians for the transition.

Currency outside the banking system is currently put at over N1.025 trillion, as at February, according to the latest official figures released by the Central Bank.

The figure stood at N927 billion as at December 2009, due largely to skepticism about the efficiency of the Nigerian banking system.

The latest move is expected to reduce the amount of currency outside the banking system.

You have me in your custody and you may kill my body. But you will never force my respect. You will never break my Spirit, and you will never escape accountability. Even if I die in your hands, I still feel proud that I never sank to the low level that you and your fellow crooked leaders of Nigeria occupy. You may bribe and intimidate all the Courts in Nigeria , but really that is nothing to be proud of. Yours will remain a lowly place of ignominy and utter shame.

Mrs. Farida Waziri.
Chairman,
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC],
Abuja, Nigeria.

OPPOSITION TO UNLAWFUL DETENTION, TORTURE, DEGRADING AND, INHUMANE TREATMENT, AND ABUSE AND SUPPRESSION OF DUE PROCESS.

Dear Mrs. Waziri,

My name is Ephraim Emeka Ugwuonye. I am writing from the detention Center in which you and your organization have locked me for nearly a month. First and foremost, I would like to remind you that I have not committed any crime, and I have not violated any laws that could justify the extremely inhumane treatment that you and your staff have subjected me to in the past four weeks.

Contrary to the negative impressions which you and your propaganda machinery have been creating about me, I am an Attorney. I am a member in good standing of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria , the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, the Bar of the United States Court of International Trade, and other International Jurisdictions. I have acted as Counsel to Nigerian Governments in the United States for over nine [9] years, and have saved Nigeria from several major controversies in the United States .

For the good deeds that I have done for Nigeria , I have received commendations and approving remarks in the past, and I have ample evidence to show for this. In the course of my several representations of Nigerian Embassy in Washington , a dispute arose between the Embassy and my Firm pursuant to a Retainer Agreement between the Embassy and my Firm. As a legitimate ventilation of this dispute the Embassy filed a Bar Complaint against me at the Washington D.C. Bar. After the Bar’s investigation of the matter, it dismissed the Embassy complaint and found that I did not violate any Rule of Professional responsibility governing Attorneys. After one and a half years of the Bar’s decision, the Nigerian Embassy filed a Lawsuit against me and my Firm at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

This was in November of 2010. We filed our response attaching relevant documents and requesting the Court to dismiss the Embassy Complaint because it lacked merit. In moving to dismiss the Embassy Complaint, I was guided by the fact that the Embassy is clearly wrong in its Claims. It seems that the Embassy agreed with me as shown by its next move after my Motion to dismiss. The Embassy’s next move was to resort to the old Nigerian method of brutality- the Embassy through the Nigerian Ambassador to Washington, Ambassador Ade Adefuyi, contacted the EFCC around December 16, 2010 and directed the EFCC to place me on a Watch list, and to arrest me whenever I visited Nigeria again. To my greatest shock, EFCC complied with extraordinary efficiency, and with total disregard to the Law and Constitution. I was kidnapped and detained and tortured since February 13, 2011 as I was departing Nigeria to return to the United States . The manner in which I was seized at the Airport by people acting on your instructions would have been an excellent Cinematographic piece had it not been real and extreme in brutality and punitivity. As at this moment, the pieces of Luggage that I had checked into my Flight are still unaccounted for.

From the moment I was taken by your men, it has been one absurdity after another. Every effort has been made by your men to strip me of all Human dignity. I have been beaten; I have been dragged out in the middle of the night. I have been repeatedly threatened. I have been denied treatment even in a situation where I am about to lose a Leg due to Athletic Foot.

As if these were not enough, you have denied me access, even by Telephone to my young Children. You have also denied me access to a Lawyer. You are aware that as a Lawyer, I have had an active practice and I was due to attend several Court proceedings. You denied me the opportunity to communicate with my Office and the Courts to notify them that I could not attend Courts. Even worse, your men stole my documents and files belonging to my Clients. As a result of my incarceration, I have not been able to pay my Mortgage, my Office Rent, Staff Salaries, My Car Notes, my Credit Cards, etc. Your calculated objective is to break me into one Thousand pieces and to force an outcome which the Embassy of Nigeria could not achieve through the Courts in the United States . In other words, even though the Embassy of Nigeria had submitted this controversy to the American Courts, you have neither respect nor confidence in the American Justice System, and you conspired with the Nigerian Ambassador to subvert and sabotage the U.S. District Court just in the same fashion that you routinely mock, and subvert the Nigerian Courts.

I have repeatedly wondered how this could be possible in the year 2011, and in a Country that lays any claim to Democracy. How could you, Mrs. Waziri, lock up a man without a reasonable suspicion that a Crime has been committed? And how could you then begin to lie and manipulate the Courts just to undermine due process? Your men detained me from February 13, 2011. You locked me up in a Cell without a Soul explaining to me why. It took you Six days before you bothered to say a word to me as to why I was held. Even at that, you lied to me repeatedly. Ten days after my detention, you figured out that it might not be so easy to suppress me without consequence. You then started the cover up.
On February 22, 2011, while I was locked up in Solitary confinement in your Cell, you went to the Court and obtained an ex parte detention Order to hold me. You lied all your way through the Court to justify holding me. Your men were so proud to announce that I was being held pursuant to a Court Order. I immediately requested a copy of the Order, but you adamantly declined to show me the Order. I asked only to know the name of the Court, but you adamantly refused to disclose the Court that issued the Order. You understood that by refusing to give information about the Order you made it impossible for me to understand the legal situation that I faced and that I would be unable to do anything about it.

You obtained your secret Order February 22, 2011 because you had hoped that by today you would be able to crank up some false charges me. You made sure that your Staff informed me that I would be arraigned today. But of course, it has not been that easy for you to formulate a charge against me. So as you are so adept at doing, you again returned to the Court today secretly, and lied some more against me to renew ex parte the Order to detain me. With all this charade, you have left no doubt that you were either deceiving the Court or simply bribing the Judges.

I have wondered to no end how an institution like EFCC, which claims to be a legitimate Law enforcement Agency could be so adept with fraud and deception. The constitution of Nigeria demands that I be arraigned after 48 hours if you believe that I committed a Crime. You have held me for over four weeks without arraigning me. In this whole period of my detention I had thought that you would be interested in knowing what I have to show about Nigerian Government Officials that I have worked with as counsel in the past Nine years. I thought you wanted to know about the fact that Nigerian Officials demanded Bribes, discussed the Assassination of Witnesses in cases in which I represented them. I thought you wanted to know how your top Officials pressured me to lie to American Judges and how they punished me when I declined. I thought you would like to know how a Nigerian Attorney General pressured me to allow him to use my Firm to pay Bribe to a Judge presiding over the Presidential Election Dispute, and how I was punished when I declined.

Mrs. Waziri I thought you were interested in enforcing the Law. Little did I know you are just Corrupt and inept as the other Nigerian Government Officials. You are nasty thieves robbing Nigeria blind and pretending to be smart and sincere people.

I realize that I have addressed you in a language that will make your propaganda Officials wince in their pants. But I really thought it is high time someone showed you a mirror.

Sincerely yours.

PoliticsAnother Eye Witness Account Of Killing In The North by macjive01(op): 10:40am On Apr 26, 2011
The uniformed men that were deployed to the southern part of Kaduna were killing people based on religion. This happened live in front of my mum. An Igbo man was shot dead in front of my mum and brother by angry Hausa military men. Instead of calming the situation they resorted to killing the Christians. We can't go out of our houses anymore even if the curfew has been relaxed. We tiptoe to go out and also do the same all in
the name of one man called Buhari.

On that very Monday 18th of April 2011, my mum and brother went out to Maraba Rido area of Kaduna because my mum runs a school in that area and they had a physics practical that day.

While they were in school, they kept communicating with me that I and my siblings at home shouldn't go out.
I was on my way to the market when I saw smoke from far away Sabo and Barnawa.
I couldn't go again but called my cousin who's also serving (as a Youth Corper) in Kaduna to come out and see what was happening.
By this time people were all over the area standing in front of their houses.
While I was watching the smoke, I kept on communicating with my mum and brother to mind their movement over there in Maraba Rido.
While we were still outside watching over our lives, the Hausa people crossed river Kaduna to the south in Ungwar Majero, Narayi and shot 5 people dead.

Their women and children ran to my area in High Cost.
Their mosque and business centres were burnt in my area because we don't have any Hausa man living in my area.
We were outside waiting for my mum and brother until 6. P.M.
My mum was on her knees thanking God. She narrated the whole story to us.

This is it 'when I got to school, I started to hear gunshot and stopped the WAEC students from going out.
While the shooting was going on, one of my students was shot along with his friends by the Hausas, one of the boys died but my student was taken to the hospital (he is still in the hospital with his friends).
When everything had died down, I and one of my staff had to put the students in our vehicles to their respective homes.
On my way, I saw burnt houses and Mosques of the Hausas, along Refinery.
There were so many burnt dead bodies. I manage to scale thru.

When I got to Sabo, some Christian youths were searching cars to find out if we are Muslims with weapons, just as they were searching, the soldiers arrived and shot in the air. The bullet hit one of the youths who fell in the gutter while the others ran away but one stayed back as he knew someone in my car who he was greeting.
The soldiers asked him to unblock the road. While he was trying to remove the wooden planks, one of the soldiers laid him on the ground and shot him immediately.

The man was an Igbo and he was shot dead.
My brother said that these soldiers were angry Hausa people who were just shooting anyhow.
They finally opened the way for my mum and that was how she scaled through.
Since then it has not been easy because everything in Sabo market was burnt down. The little we see to buy is now times four times the previous price.
That's all I can say for now.

The road block was at post office road Sabo Tasha and that was where the man was shot
I also gathered from a friend that works with the NTA that their efforts to get Buhari to make a statement since Sunday did not yield fruit until it was late.
Despite warnings of reprisal attacks in Kaduna state, security whatever took no action. About the attacks in Kafanchan and environs, they received a call from Kafanchan at 2pm from distressed persons who were running from assailants in army uniforms, shooting and killing randomly up until day break.

Even when the real soldiers came, one had the effrontery to shoot a general who was asking the youth to stop the attack on Muslims.
That’s the country we are living in. instead of quelling the fire, we add more fuel to it.
May God help us.

According to the CLO, who pleaded anonymity, because corps members are not allowed to speak to the press, Ukeoma and Nkwazema were chased by an angry mob on April 18 and ran into a police station at Giade.

“Unfortunately, the mob was so large than they were able to overpower the policemen after setting the station on fire and all the corps members ran out. Ukweoma and Nkwazema were beaten to death by the mob.

OBINNA OKPOKIRI

Okpokiri, according to a friend that schooled with him in the United Kingdom, was not only beaten to death, but was burnt after he was killed.

The 27-year-old was butchered and burnt to ashes—in the service of his fatherland. Okpokiri’s own circumstances were as gruesome as they could be. He had reportedly run to the Corpers’ Lodge as the rampaging rioters targeted the youth corps members who were the polling officers recruited by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the general election. As death loomed, the young Nigerians contemplated fleeing to the barracks, the only sanctuary in times of mob insanity. But they were not lucky enough. The rioters caught up with them, beat them up, slaughtered the ones they could and set them on fire. Human beings. Future leaders on the last lap of fulfilling statutory requirement before starting their careers. Slaughtered. Sliced. Soaked in petrol. Scorched. Reduced to ashes in the most callous fashion.
Okpokiri could have been in the United Kingdom savouring life some other way and living in the safety of a society that would go to any length to protect its citizens. He chose to return to his fatherland after acquiring a post-graduate degree in the UK. He chose to do the mandatory national youth service. He chose to obey the posting to Bauchi State, as against the mass hysteria of changing posting.
