Yes it only works when am pressing the throttle.

Sometimes, it stays at the current speed when i remove my feet from the throttle but most times it only work when i press the throttle.

The first image is when moving and as you can see the speedometer is rising too and the rpm moving.

the second image is i removed my feet from the accelerator pedal, the speedometer dropped to zero while the rpm is still up. Meaning the car is moving and the gear still on D.

Is it not suppose to remain at the speedlevel at the speedometer? if the car speedometer is on 40 and you remove your feed from the accelerator pedal, the speed suppose to remain at 40 and reduce gradually according to the speed of the vehicle but my own will just drop.

At first i was told to check the speed censor from the engine which my mechanic checked and he said it was ok, the small gear teeth still in tact.

There's this Toyota Camry 2001 that I wanted to buy, Nigerian used with clean body. Invited a friend who uses same car to check it out but he suggested the rings are not good and that the car smokes after dipping his finger into the exhaust pipe and saw dark smoke in his finger.
NB: He did not drive the car as there was no enough fuel. He only started the engine and left it for some times

Please what's your take on this? Should I invite a technician to check it out? What's the cost of rings assume I have to change them? What's the implication of the dark smoke?

Hello House, am using a Camry 2.2l of year 2000 droplight.
When ever i accelerate the rpm always get to 4 before it engages into the second gear.

while moving from 2 to 3rd and 4th gear are smooth.

while moving if i remove my feed from the accelerator pedal, the speed meter will just drop to zero making the car to downshift while the RPM remains on a stable point of 2.

What could be the problem? Thank you.

Yes i know, i just want to know if 45ahs is the actual battery for civic 2009, the engine looks bigger than corolla engine with 75ahs battery.
