alphaNomega:Even Honda is confused as to what it is. But people love it for what it is, whatever that is. It is more of a wagon than crossover SUV. It doesn't have very good ground clearance like most crossover suv, but better than a sedan. Look at this way: SUV - crossover - crosstour - Sedan |
alphaNomega:If you don't know what it is, then why are you here? |
PMMotorliner:Please I have a question. I just moved into a house with a borehole and the borehole has issues and I was advised to change the control box. I got the new control box and decided to install itmyself. But the problem is that the cable from the ground has only three wires (blue, brown and yellow/green), instead of 4 (the black wire is missing). I suspected they used the yellow/green wire as live, instead of ground. I tried connecting it to the black terminal but it didn't work. Instead the controller switch remain on even when the switch is off. This points to a wrong ground connection. Please can you explain to me what is happening here? Thanks |
Readonee35L:I'm on stock 17" rims and stock tire size. |
GAZZUZZ:I already did. I took both left struts (front and back, spring and shock) to the right and took the right to the left. The problem remained on the left. |
selfmadeOLX:Yes. Not same manufacturers, buy same size. And I've tried swapping the tires but the problem remained same. |
Good evening Gazzuzz and other honorable members. I have an issue I've been trying to figure out. I have the 2007 Honda accord that seems unequal on both sides of the rear suspension. The car is lower on the driver side of the rear suspension. This is visually obvious and easily proven as you can easily place three fingers between the rear right tire and the quarter panel, whereas the left can only allow two fingers to pass. I've reversed the struts and it's still same. There's no bent or distorted arm in the suspension. I don't want to go removing the whole suspension without being sure of what to achieve. The car is a bit accidents in front but nothing on the frame or suspensions. Please I need ideas. Picture for reference.

Okey4jazz:Dude, are you normal? Or you lost a screw from your brain? How petty can you be going to dig up things you think will make me ashamed? Jeez, I laugh in Swahili language. First off, what makes you think I don't already have a ps4? And even if I don't have, what makes you think I'll buy from such an emotionally unstable seller like you? And, yes I still have my ps3 and I'm still proud of it. If e vex you, go hug transformer. Bross, just sell your market and stop shooting yourself on the foot while exposing your pettiness. |
Okey4jazz:Buying a game that is 7yrs old for 140k is not worth it, but you want us to buy same game from you for 195k? Bross I don't understand you. |
What is the difference between a hacked and unhacked PS4? What are the advantages and disadvantages of hacking? I want to learn. |
When you thought you've seen it all, then you see a kazeem holding an engine together with super glue.
|
Macmilla:Boss Gazzuzz, I'm still waiting for your response. Tnx |
jahrule:Boss I'm not selling anything. Just read through the thread and learn how to do it yourself. |
diportivo:It's a free world, bro |
This is what mine looks like. You will notice I used wire 4 as ground. That's because 1-4 are all ground. Any of them will serve.
|
Before you go buying a camera, make sure you get the connector right. You know you've gotten it right when you get a blank dark screen on putting your gear in reverse after plugging in the connector (yes, just the connector with the wires bare and 6 and 7 joined) to the back of the DVD. |
GAZZUZZ:Boss Gazzuzz, concerning starter motor, my 2006 accord v6 does not crank some times when I turn the ignition. I just hear a small click sound from the engine. I have to return the key and turn it again. Some times it starts on the first attempt or up to the 5th attempt. Battery is in good condition. The starter was "serviced" by a rewire but nothing was replaced. The problem has continued. Can this be fixed by replacing brush? |
sholarb:No idea, sir. |
If you get confused, ask questions. |
Macmilla:Just for clarification. If you flip this to face down, which is the right way it should go in, pink is 1 and blue is 7.
|
NOTE when plugging it into the back of the DVD unit, this side must be down.
|
So this is what I did. I got a 7pin connector from my junk as seen in the picture. It must be smooth all round, ie. no clips. Mine had one as seen in the picture, so with a razor blade, I scrapped it smooth. So with the open side facing down, 1 - ground 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - Data 6 - shorted to 7 Cut the data wire that came with the camera, you will see a red, black and yellow cables. Join the yellow to wire 5 and join the black to wire 1. The red is not used as it is supposed to supply reverse voltage to the unit which is not needed in this car as Honda already did that. The picture attached should serve as a guide. The jumped 6 and 7 wires tells the unit that a camera is connected. So once this plug is connected to the back of the DVD in the trunk, even without a camera, the screen on the dashboard will go black ready to display whatever the camera is supplying. This can be used to confirm ur system is ready for a camera even before you buy a camera.

GAZZUZZ:Boss Gazzuzz, this was your comment concerning the 7th gen Honda accord. As a proud owner of my 2nd v6 Honda accord 7th gen, I would love to know why you have this mindset about the v6. |
Nameflow:Chai! This guy is a detective! Well done. |
Eldemmi:It's actually very simple. This year of accord with navigation was actually designed to have reverse camera, I just don't know why Honda didn't just put them. It's basically a plug-and-play installation. Basically, the DVD drive in the trunk of the car has a port for connection of reverse camera. But a special connector is required. If you can locate the port and source for the required connector, then all you need is a cheap reverse camera available everywhere. - Plug the connector to the back of the DVD - Plug the camera to the connector - Power the camera from your reverse light These are the three main steps. The only problem is getting the connector as it is NOT available anywhere. You will have to construct one like I did.

Nameflow:It's a nice ride if you get a good one. Don't believe whatever any ignorant Honda hater might tell you about Honda. Mine is a v6 and I'm enjoying it. Lots of interior space, as much as a crossover. VERY strong engine. BTW, why did you call me doc? |
Nameflow:Just to clear things up. If you are interested in this camera setup I pictured above, then get a 2006-2007 (discussion continues). It might also work on Acuras of same years with navigation. But it will not work on older models (EOD) |
OK, I got a 2006 accord with navigation. The beautiful display is there, but then what use is it to me? A glorified AC and audio control? Honda has no map for Nigeria, so it can't even serve it's original purpose. It doesn't play movies either. It's just useless. But damn! that sound system is badass. I can't imagine loosing that sound quality, so a China aftermarket stereo is a NO for me. So after a lot of research, I was able to get what you see in the picture below. A reverse camera that works so well. ![]() I'm looking to add auxiliary input to the setup to improve my music entertainment. If you know a good way to add aux to this wonderful sound system, I'll be glad to know. What else can this display and sound system do? I would love to do more with it. If you want to know how this reverse camera was cooked, lemme know.

TESTIMONY TIME! this will also serve as lesson to all. I had this problem with my car. Whenever I start it on a cold morning and drive off, the check engine light pops up in about 2 to 5min. I scanned it and an error code was gotten. I can't remember the code now, but the interpretation was "coolant temperature below threshold" The fan is still intact as it comes on only when engine is hot. So I figured the thermostat has been yanked off. After reading through boss Gazzuzz posts and his recurrent emphasis on the importance of the thermostat, I was motivated enough to go put it back. This is where the challenge started. First I told my kazeem what I want to do. The dude was like "oga are you okay?" I went to my parts dealer and requested for thermostat and my dealer was like "are you okay?" He actually refused to give me one saying "I won't let you do that to yourself". After much pressure from me, he gave me one for free because it's a "useless" item. I tested it in hot water to be sure it opens and closes as supposed. Then I went back to my kazeem and told him to put it in. He still tried to discourage me, but I told him if he doesn't do it, I will find someone that will. He reluctantly agreed, but after putting it, he "promised" me my car will overheat and that I will still come back within a week to beg him to remove it. Well, this is almost a month now, engine has never overheated and the check engine light has never appeared. Lessons: 1. You can be more educated and informed than your mechanic and parts dealer. 2. Never take the advice of an ignorant person. 3. If everyone is doing it, it doesn't mean it's right. And if no one is doing it, it doesn't mean it's wrong. |
GAZZUZZ:This bold part is what a lot of Nigerians don't understand. You can't make things work better by removing some of its parts. You can't be smarter than the manufacturers. I respect you Mr. Gazzuzz |
bignero:You changed the tire, it got better. Did it continue to lose air? If the tire fault indicator is on and you are sure your pressure is right, then check that the tire pressure sensor (which should be part of the valve on the wheel) is still intact. It may have been damaged in the crash. A bad valve might explain why the tire keeps going flat. |
