Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Know God Is Talking To You? by madamkoko: 4:19pm On Aug 28, 2008
the popular belief is that god understands all languages. But the best way to speak back to god is to speak in tongues. lol. hehehehehe grin grin grin grin

I think you ask a good question of which god.? Because traditionalists will also tell you that god speaks with them, so will muslims, so will hindus, so will buddhists and all the various types of religions that exist.

@Madam koko

Christianity EtcRe: Preaching In The Bus by madamkoko: 4:14pm On Aug 28, 2008
it simply reinforced your own prejudices
and what are my prejudices. ?
Christianity EtcRe: Preaching In The Bus by madamkoko: 4:14pm On Aug 28, 2008
Religion is a "divisive tool" ditto for tribe, skin color, nationality, class and gender.
It doesn't say that religion is the ONLY tool.
Christianity EtcRe: Preaching In The Bus by madamkoko: 4:12pm On Aug 28, 2008
Well, well, no need to be insulting but I believe that God exists, i've always maintained this notion. But, I don't believe in any form of organized religion.

I believe people are entitled to thier own beliefs.

the very same people who claim not to believe God exists are the very same ones talking about the "existence" of a "higher power". How stupid can that get?
People who don't believe in god in my opinion cannot believe anything exists, so to me, your statement there is not logical. Agnostics on the other hand are skeptics, who are doubtful. They lie on the fence.

One thing I know for sure is that people don't expereince god the same way.

L O L

Whats up with all these questions na.

How about you go to bible school and leave us jare make we hear word.
Christianity EtcRe: Preaching In The Bus by madamkoko: 3:57pm On Aug 28, 2008
To "believe in God" is to believe in religion
Believing in the existence of a higher power, does not make one religious.

There are athiests and there are agnostics. Do you know the difference ?
Christianity EtcRe: Preaching In The Bus by madamkoko: 3:54pm On Aug 28, 2008
@ Brash

absolutely brilliant.

Religion is nothing but an effective divisive tool. It forces people to see differences rather than commonalities.
Christianity EtcRe: Preaching In The Bus by madamkoko: 3:40pm On Aug 28, 2008
Unlike many Nigerians, I don't worship any man of god. Nor do I believe in the purpose of church/or any form of organized religion. I don't believe in titheing (as titheing in Nigeria seems to ONLY be monetary donations which is not meant to be.) Basically, I have my own set of beliefs which will never be in line with doctrines at any existing church in Niger. I know the bible front and back and there is nothing new under the sun.
Christianity EtcRe: Preaching In The Bus by madamkoko: 3:37pm On Aug 28, 2008
Easy, Now u're making assumptions.

Nigerians + Religion = madness.

I'm not atheist, I believe in the existence of a God.

I'm more along the thought process of Fela/Tai Solarin.

Christianity EtcRe: The Black Man & The Bible by madamkoko: 3:19pm On Aug 28, 2008
Is this not a way of saying the blackman has no place in biblical things?
I wouldn't go as far as to make such generalization.

The bible records certain historical information that places Africans, in certain places and scenes. You can't look at the bible as a holy book but an history book and its hard for such books to record every tiny bit of information that existed during the time. It needs to have a specific focus, thesis, and purpose.

I think one of the women described in the songs of solomon (aka the book of love) was a black woman.

HealthRe: Is It Right For Hospitals To Refuse To Treat Gunshot Victims? by madamkoko: 3:02pm On Aug 28, 2008
I notice that Nairaland is full with negative news of Nigeria. Blah, blah, blah, blah.

Enough!!!! Nigeria is bad, evil, this, that, : doesn't stop foreigners and foreign coporations from making the Millions, MILLIONS, and millions of dollars from this bad, evil country we call Nigeria.

I recently met with a political figure from this same evil country we all call Nigeria who will be purchasing a house in Atlanta cash down,  all the same evil, bad, dysfunctional country.

Every Nigerian needs to be held accountable for not planning and willing to change their country. The solution to change is definately not to run to another man's country.
PoliticsRe: 100 Nigerian Immigrats Die Off Spanish Coast. by madamkoko: 2:56pm On Aug 28, 2008
hope say our leaders have read this, because they are to be blamed for not able to make things work 4 us in here.
I don't see how blaming the leaders will solve any problems. Thats what we've always done: blame this, blame that,

Only a drastic change will change the country. a bloody revolution Blaming will not solve the problem/nor will it create change.
PoliticsRe: 100 Nigerian Immigrats Die Off Spanish Coast. by madamkoko: 2:54pm On Aug 28, 2008
Instead of dieing this way, why don't they die FIGHTING for thier country at least they will die heroes.

I don't know what Spain has to offer any Black.

PoliticsRe: Is Democracy The Solution To Nigerian Problem? by madamkoko: 2:52pm On Aug 28, 2008
However, If you are familiar with the Bible, it said that if the foundation were to be faulty whta would the rightheous do?
Nigerians and religious nonsense, what does this conversation have to do with the bible.
PoliticsRe: Is Democracy The Solution To Nigerian Problem? by madamkoko: 2:48pm On Aug 28, 2008
A modifiable style democracy (but if one really examines democracy: such thing does not exist) and NOT THE WESTERNIZED ONE.
Christianity EtcRe: The Black Man & The Bible by madamkoko: 2:41pm On Aug 28, 2008
Exactly, and I give the same response that the bible was written by those of Jewish traditions and heritage and focused more on thier side of things.
Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Know God Is Talking To You? by madamkoko: 2:39pm On Aug 28, 2008
Personally, I think that "god" may speak to people in dreams but thats it.

But when someone tells me "god said this and that" Then they are getting delusional and need to visit a psychiatrist.
Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Know God Is Talking To You? by madamkoko: 2:38pm On Aug 28, 2008
I call it madness. A jobless man once told me, that god told him to start a church in Nigeria.

I asked him the same question: how do you know it is god speaking with you and he said "I just know."

I was thinking god should be able to find you a job for him to tell you all these things.

I call it madness.    If he found a job like every other sensible person, he won't be speaking jagbajantis.

He also said god told him to start a conference for christians, worship center, publishing company and write books like oyedepo.
