petra1: it doesn't matter the translation. Moses divorced the wife after she insulted him calling him bloodly husband.
Exo 4:25 — Exo 4:26 25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me. 26 So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.
The bible says Moses Sent her back or sent her away . some translations righty rendered it
Exodus 18:2 (BBE) 2 And Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her away,
You may kindly check it out in strongs Hebrew dictionary. it means Divorce
(Olive Tree Enhanced Strong's Dictionary) h7964. שִׁלּוּחַ šillûaḥ; or שִׁלֻּחַ shilluach; from 7971; (only in plural) a dismissal, i.e. (of a wife) divorce (especially the document); also (of a daughter)
So dilligent study on the passage shows He divorced her. Other books and manuscripts like the book of Jasher throws more light on his Divorce
The Father inlaw intervened and brought about reconciliation
Definately not thesame woman. The Cushite Ethiopian woman is a new wife. why would Aaron complained of Moses Marrying a non Jew. He married Marian when there was no law. Nobody complained but he married the cushite against the law hence the complain. Ask yourself why would they complained of a Marian being a non jew many years after marriage and bearing children. it doesnt make sense. Its the new Gentile wife that was unconstitutional. He is another irreverent JWit. I would not engage him as well. |

MaxInDHouse: Beautiful and upbuilding comment from one of our neighbours who also claims to be a Christian! Luke 6:45
When talking about God's word the taught ones will prove to be the children of their own father {Matthew 5:11-12} while the uncultured will also suffice with the manner of their own father! John 8:44 You are not a christian. You have never been and for the love of God, before you leave this world I hope you become one. But for now, you are an unfortunate, wicked, diabolic, deceitful, vicious, irreverent and unrepentant soul. May God have mercy on you. |

AABBIIMM: You're so wrong. In the book of revelation, didn't you see Jesus' messages to the angels of the churches, were those shepherds totally perfect without errors? absolutely no. But does that nullify their positional authority to receive from the Lord and teach the body of Christ within their domain, the answer is still no. So, if a man of God is teaching based on God's leading and with scriptural proofs, such should be received without a bias mind irrespective of what's happening physically. Stop replying those ignoramuses. The more they read the bible, the more ignorant they sound. Imagine Jesus being archangel Michael, yet, when he is showing John a revelation of the future, the same Jesus shows John a vision of archangel Michael and other angels under him, waging war with the devil. And John clearly knows that they are 2 distinct beings. It is the same people who now want to teach people what christianity is or is not about. Foolish people who do not know the extent of their folly. |

DappaD: 1. Do you know that servants of God in the past before Moses used to select marriage mates amongst those who worshiped and respected God? Genesis 24:4 In that light, was Jethro the father of Zipporah one who honoured the true God or not? Exodus 18:10 Which suggests that the household likewise did the same?
Moreover I fail to see how this has any relevance to what I asked—it would rather suggest that you think Moses violated some law and that the jerry-curled clown posing as a pastor can get away with something that Moses wasn’t guilty of?
2. In what portion of the Bible did you get to know that Moses sent away Zipporah ? I was about to make the mistake of educating you then I realized you are from the sect of the blind, dull, dumb and irreverent. So I decided against it. Bye. |

achorladey: Don't mind that one trying to DEFINE failure in marriage.
A husband that barters his wife everyday with all sort of violence and the wife stick to him as a result of having nowhere to go is a successful marriage since the option to divorce is only on sexual immorality I was told about a minister who almost killed his wife with beatings. Her family had to evacuate her one day after she was almost maimed by the man. Funny enough, he beat her, locked her up and went to "church". To that guy you guys were educating, that marriage was successful because the woman did not divorce him. Therefore, the husband was fit to educate people on marriage. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Chris : How To.know Who To Marry by Maestro21: 7:42pm On Oct 06, 2021 |
Telling someone that they cannot teach on marriage because someone divorced them is like saying someone should not teach on pastoring a church because a member left.
But christians should not be using their bibles to educate a JWit.
Besides, these teachings were done when he was still married. |

DappaD: Can I know what you mean by the words in bold? Been following the thread and your whole argument seems to be hinged on this line of reasoning that doesn’t exist in the Bible. That Moses married a woman by the law - that he should not have? That Moses sent away his first wife? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Chris : How To.know Who To Marry by Maestro21: 7:38pm On Oct 06, 2021 |
petra1: Its well. Firstly its not the Man of God who left the marriage.
secondly even if he had been the one . That still doesnt constitute failure.
Divorce is a miracle for so many. All christians know that Paul advised certain people to get a divorce. I am not saying Pastor Chris filed for a divorce as we all know he did not. But you cannot be trying to use the bible to educate a JWit. They are very ignorant and bitter. They are not christians. |

Workch: [s]You cannot make the statement “you are an illiterate” however, you can say “You are an illiterate person” By adding person, you already made it a countable noun.
You can simply just say “you are illiterate” because in this statement, illiterate is an adjective that is telling us more about the noun or pronoun. You cannot use articles for adjective.
You cannot say “He is a fair”, it’s “he is fair[/s]” Boring, rehashed and overplayed. We have already educated you. Go and cry somewhere. You are not saying anything new. |

Workch: Yes “An illiterate person” is a correct English because in this statement the illiterate is an adjective used before a noun “person”. The article is meant for the noun and not the adjective.
You cannot say “He is an illiterate”, you can say “he is an illiterate person”.
Hope you dig You are grasping at straws. I called you a "thing" earlier because I do not think you are worthy of being personalized. So to buttress it, I said "you are an illiterate..." That was my way of refusing to give you any form of personality. lol |

It’s simole “he is illiterate” Don’t add “an”

Workch: uncountable nouns don’t bear articles.
Illiterate.
He is illiterate Another example; money is uncountable noun, you cannot say “I gave him a money”
It’s also bad English to say “I gave him an information”
Where did you get education?
You are paying me for free tutorship tonight Did you literally see the sentence I cropped for you or you want me to spell it out for you? Dummy, when an article is used before a word that was previously a noun, it becomes an adjectival phrase or clause when following a noun depending on the usage. One can say "an information gathering center" just like one can say "an illiterate person" as the cropped sentence showed. Stop trying to hang, the rope is too long for you. |
