Business › Re: 65m Nigerians Spend $15 Daily On Betting’ — FG Proposes Gaming Industry Tax by maestro299: 7:37am On Nov 01, 2023 |
FOLYKAZE: This is nothing new. If you have used betsite from other African countries like Ghana and Kenya, you would have known that their Government tax them heavily on stakes and winning. This applies to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Zambia, etc. I know this because I engage bettors from African countries and Europe everyday and see their tickets.
In Kenya for example, Government charge 5% on stakes and 20% on winnings. Meaning if you stake a game with 1,000ksh, your actual stake is 950ksh. And if you win a 10 odds game with that 950ksh, your actual winning is 7,600. This implies Kenya Government have taken away 2,400ksh as tax. This varied with Nigeria where bettors would win actual 10,000 naira for staking 1,000 naira on 10 odds. All the bet sites in Kenya from Betika to Sportybet or betpawa or charge heavily on stakers there. Only 1xbet doesn't tax them but one has to own a paypal or skrill to operate it.
This applies to stakers in Ghana too. You can ask anyone from Ghana how they operate there. In Turkey, Government only charge 5% on withdrawal of winnings. The popular bet there is betelephant. But none of this applies to Nigerian.
Some of my friends in Kenya and Ghana, I help them register those bet accounts, and Opay. Then they get their money without tax using eversend... This is how we operate under radar. Should Government start taxing betsite in Nigeria, that mean we will move to Europe or South America. Na dem go tire..
In all honesty, Nigerians are enjoying. We live in an almost free tax nation. The Government should just look elsewhere and not add a burden on the citizens. If they increase tax on the betting site, those companies can easily transfer the burden on their customers. If I'm getting you correctly, that means there are still countries in Europe and South America where bet earnings aren't being taxed? |

Women will never understand that most men don't really stress themselves by whether or not you wear 'expensive wigs' or sporting stunning makeup or wear suggestive clothing. A man will definitely look at breasts and bums (it's how God made us ) but it's a woman's underlying femininity, not just superficially (in the clothes, make-up and accessories) that draws a man in. There are a lot of physically beautiful women out there but many of them find it tough to attract a man who doesn't want them just for sex. Women tend to like strong, masculine men, and in the same vein, men generally like sexy, feminine women. Many women today (no thanks to poor orientation by many feminists) misinterpret femininity as being passive and a pushover. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Feminine women aren't pushovers, infact, na dem get power pass. When a man gets hooked, he's ready to become her slave, to do anything to please her. It’s not a look, it’s not just an outfit, or your smile, or your hair. It's about her wholesome attitude and character. She has that feminine presence aura; there’s some feature about her that would make a guy stop and take notice. She walks, sits, talks, and moves with sexy confidence and that seductive, charming, graceful feminine beauty. While fully confident and respecting of herself, she still gives off the air of approachability. She doesn't look like she's ready to kill anyone who dares to introduce himself to her. A woman who understands the power of her femininity knows she is of high value, doesn’t need a man to take care of her, and is confident in who she truly is. She's calm and isn't overtly aggressive. That’s the kind of feminine female a man loves. |

Wetin you wan do? Kill am? It's his/her choice. Trying to talk to him/her might be fruitless, even counterproductive as they've come to believe that they enjoy and prefer that lifestyle over being heterosexual. Using force or aggressive moves on them to compel them to 'change' or 'go straight' might just make them recalcitrant and adamant. It could push them to become a martyr, 'go underground' and become a passive-aggressive pretender around you or just rebel and cut off all ties with you, shutting you out of their lives. |

badoh: I will like to address some issues raised here. - That southwest hate Jonathan and Igbos. This is a fallacy and far from truth. Was southwest not part of those that clamour for Jonathan to be given power when Yaradua was indisposed and the North was not ready to transfer power to him? Did southwest not vote for Jonathan in 2011 to start a fresh mandate? Why was Jonathan not able to take a stand and convince labour on the need to remove fuel subsidy and avoid the one week strike then? Jonathan's loss of power was done through the ballot via combined effort of opposition parties who merged together to produce Buhari. Nobody should blame Tinubu here cos he was an opposition leader and the aim of every opposition party is to take over government. Your constant attack on Tinubu govt is welcomed and is needed to put the govt on her feet. You can continue to call out the govt for every anti-people policies, however note that to take over govt, it must be through the ballot system and not through the back door or calling for military coup just because of the hatred on him or his tribe. Everyone of us want a better country and the change start from you and me. Sorry my brother/sister but you're either being naive or duplicitous. |

No matter how well she can suck your d**k or how many styles she allows you to practice on her, it's not going to be worth it. Forget her cooking and homemaking skills. It's just a hook to snare you with (judging by your post, you don enter the trap finish sef). Moneyyman: A Nigerian man that survives the Nigerian/African dating scene but ends up with a black African should blame himself for whatever he sees.
This is why I said in my previous posts. Nigerian men are doing "too much" in terms of spending money.
Imagine this one saying she just realized American women dating American men are "settling for barest minimum." All because one naija guy don dey overspend.
Imagine. Same thing came to my mind. See her talking about 'African or Nigerian' men only in terms of how they 'take care' of a woman (we know what women mean when they say a man takes care of them 😉). 'Not allowing her to "struggle"'. Na so so money and material things dey these Akata head. She don see one Naija mumu wey dey fall for her wack accent and American citizenship. |

Does it help u sleep better at night praising whites for everything in SA in order to cover up Nigeria's 63-year dismal failure as a black country? Well, I know that without the whites to build your country, you guys over there would have been worse than the Haitians. A typical black South African male is quite lazy. They're only interested in claiming what others have built down, ergo the rise of xenophobic attacks. Tell Malema to stop deceiving you guys and pay homage to the white man for making you guys comfortable enough to come online and spew abuse on your fellow blacks... |

U mentioned Papua New Guinea and Niger, I'm mentioning our cousins in neighbouring Botswana who developed without whites. So why wouldn't SA also develop without whites considering the mineral wealth we have? A bit early for that now, c'mon. I always took you for a gentleman. Aren't you the one telling us that homosexuals are better mannered? The whites still played an integral role in setting up the wealth Botswana enjoys today. Their major industries are mining and tourism, principally managed by the whites. The population there is less than 2.5 million; Durban's alone is more than that. Why won't they have high-level of living? |
