The fact that America is not a member of Common Wealth and their influence in the whole world right now, does not mean that there was a time that they were under the British Monarch or the fact that Rome is very small does not mean that they never controlled the British Monarchs for a long time...all these Yorubas and Igbos fighting over nothing i pity you.

When will the Yorubas stop all this trash about the Benin Kingdom, when?..i don't need any bias historian to tell me what i already know about Benin because i was born and raised here. Okay let's look at it this way the Binis believe that Oduduwa(Izeduwa) who was suppose to be killed but spared and instead a chicken was killed in replacement of him and the blood rubbed on the killers Machete to show to the then king. Excaped and became a king in Ife...when he sent his son too Oranmiyan who was suppose to be a king here but he had to run away probably the stories his father (Oduduwa) might have told him about Benin and he had to name the Land Ilu Ibinu and on his way back to Ife he impregnated a lady who was suppose to take care of him and the lady gave birth to a son and the lady's father was later made a duke(Enogie of Egor) If Oranmiyan was a feared warrior as the yoruba claimed why did he had to run away.

babanaba: There is a particular tribe in Nigeria, they know themselves. They are very quick in opening their mouths to say stupid things and they keep getting into trouble. There is nothing good that ever comes out of other tribes according to them. They come here to say all sort of silly stuffs about the Oba.In real life they wont dare say anything to a Bini not to talk of the Oba.
Now ,the Oba is(was) a wise man ,there must be a reason he did bow.
As for the regalia..Maybe the reason it is was one of his Grand fathers' belongings that survived the massacre of 1896.Maybe he wanted the Queen to know that the Kingdom is till alive ..No one knows the particular reason...
So you people be careful. And that is why you guys have the shortest life span in Nigeria. You know yourselves...
You come here to make fool of yourselves.

Lol....Spot on Bro

And Apart from that, That Regalia is made of Bead all through real beads which we Binis are know for[b]

To Ya'll Castigating the Oba for bowing to the Queen, first thing first She was the Commander in chief of Nigeria armed-forces as at that time, let me tell Ya'll i once argued with my Dad about this fotos and he explained to me...Incase you don't know that Photo was not in benin the one he shook hand with Prince Philip was when they came to Benin and he never touched her cos that's the Culture an Oba never get close to a Lady(Not A Queen)

And for your information Our Oba never visits anybody not even his best friend but this case was different she is a Queen for God Sake.

Politics / Re: Document Of Nigeria's Amalgamation In 1914 (picture) by mafioso2(m): 12:00pm On Feb 21, 2013
HAH: Before the amalgamation of North, south and Lagos colony the poorest part was the southern protectorate,

Then we all depended on agriculture which gave us foreign exchange there was no oil, that was why as early as 1900 the colonialist have built a railway line to kano, Nguru and maiduguri to transport commodity to the sea for shipment

It was money realized from that trade that kept Nigeria then, oil was only discovered in 1956 and commercial drilling started in the 60s . So who was the parasite before oil?

Lagos was initially not part of southern protectorate, the south was just a forest with no value, remember even the palm oil and cocoa seed was brought by the white man. The only good thing that was beneficial to the white was slaves and nothing else cos the southerners were canivals .

On the other hand when the white came to the north they found people that have a structured government and can read and write and also involved in commercial agriculture and trade with middle east and north africa.

However the Lord lugard did the best for Nigeria because we still compliment each other, and instead of regionalism and tribalism we should work on fighting corruption which is the bane of our present problem, believe me even if you divide Nigeria if you don't tackle corruption is still the samething.

God bless Nigeria

why do you guyz always like to twist History?..if not for Lord Lugard Somalia would have been better than your "Northern Republic.

Jokes Etc / Re: Joke Of The Day 101 by mafioso2(m): 9:48am On Feb 21, 2012
A father and his three beautiful, blonde, daughters went into a hotel to stay for the night. When the daughters went to check in, they saw a really good looking bell boy. The father caught the three girls looking at him and he threatened to kill the bell boy if he did anything at all with them. So the bell boy minded his own business and ignored the girls.

While he was working ever so diligently, the eldest daughter goes up to him and says "If you don't do it with me in bed, I will pour red juice on the sheets of my bed and tell my father that you popped my cherry."

Fearing for his life, he did it with her. Then he saw the beautiful middle daughter in the hallway and she too walked over to him and said "If you don't do it with me, I'll pour red juice on my bed and tell my father that you popped my cherry."

Again fearing for his life, he agreed. Later that evening the youngest blonde daughter saw him. She walked up to him and said "If you don't have sex with me, I'll pour green juice all over the bed and tell my father that you popped my cherry."

"Green juice?" He asked. "Why Green?"

She replied, "Because my cherry isn't ripe yet, duh."
Jokes Etc / Joke Of The Day 101 by mafioso2(m): 12:51am On Feb 21, 2012
A married man was having an affair with his secretary. One day, their passions overcame them and they took off for her house, where they made passionate love all afternoon. Exhausted from the wild se.x, they fell asleep, awakening around 8:00 pm. As the man threw on his clothes, he told the woman to take his shoes outside and rub them through the grass and dirt. Mystified, she nonetheless complied. He slipped into his shoes and drove home.

"Where have you been?" demanded his wife when he entered the house.

"Darling, I can't lie to you. I've been having an affair with my secretary and we've been having se.x all afternoon. I fell asleep and didn't wake up until eight o'clock."

The wife glanced down at his shoes and said, "You lying bastard! You've been playing golf!".
