Shameless ETH, playing haram and horrible football.
Watching Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest, so sweet football from both teams.

Is it just me or is anyone courageous enough to give mount his flowers and admit to the fact that Fulham regained control and became more audacious after Mount and Amad went off.

I don't know if that was a coaching instruction or confusion but as long as mount was on the pitch, Fulham were playing premium rubbish

Maybe we need more of this confusion when we meet teams that dare to come at us.

Confusion or not, it worked like magic especially in the first half

I actually started this when it was airing weekly but i had to drop it 5 episodes into S1 because of how slow paced it was, only for me to see years later that it was been touted as one of the best shows ever 😩.

so i duly copped it again recently, and i am still having the same problem, so i ask, does it get better with the pacing, is it more of political espionage rather than action?

Both players are at fault for the failed chance. You can place more ALL responsibility on Garnacho. I have no problem with that. Personally, I believe Rashford should've done better.

Players have buried worse passes and there are players who would've laid a much better pass.

Rashford did the right thing for once and passed even if it was a terrible pass. However, Garnacho holds 100% of the blame. No way he should be missing this

Take a shot against an onrushing in form keeper rather than give your teammate a tap in? This is why City and Liverpool score nearly 100 goals every season while we hustle 50 goals.

Rashford needs to pass that ball 10 times
out of 10. The only change is he should execute it better, and place the ball slightly in front of Garnacho so he can step into the ball and tap into the empty goal.

Selfish wing play and worrying about individual stats and confidence will often limit the overall team performance.
Please let's not even go into this argument.

- There is no way anyone should be mentioning Rashford in that miss. Assuming it was Rashford that missed that ball, the whole media (including me), would have finished him.

- Garnacho's fanboys, take the loss. We all have our bad days, that was Garnacho's.

Wishing him all the best.

One player I have really come to respect so much is Harry Maguire.

His maturity, growth and tough skin is on another level.
The level of insults, abuse and disgrace we (including me), gave him when he was performing badly, it takes an insane amount of courage to come out from it and still do better.

God bless you Harry.

The match with Arsenal seemed like a continuum of last season. Man United played well. Scored a goal then as usual retreated into a defensive shell in typical Ten Hag cowardly football. Subsequently Arsenal stepped up a gear got an equaliser. Piled on the pressure and got the deserved winner.
It beats me hollow how Ten Hags team retreats into a defensive unit after they score instead of going for the jugular and completely destroying opponents.
The season hasn't started but watching this game brought a sinking feeling that we will not compete again this season.
Ineos definitely made a mistake in renewal of Ten Hags contract. The only good thing is that Ruud Van Nistelroy is probably being readied to step into Ten Hags shoes when he finally gets the inevitable boot!
If you know you know. wink

Zirkzee, the right profile and price.

I am going to suspend my beef with Erik Ten Hag for now. So, going forward, he has my full backing...

Now the management side of the club is fixed and even his backroom staff is taking shape with the addition of RVN and Rene Hake...

I am not expecting us to win the league but a comfortable top 4 finish, the UEL and a domestic trophy is what I expect at the end of the season.

Now, go get De Ligt, Ugarte, Yoro/Braithwaite, another midfielder/right winger...

No big name, just some young hungry footballers. ETH should have no problems working with them.
On the short run, the outcome is randomly distributed. I think it will be wise not to focus on that.

Phase 1; we start playing good football and collective player's improvement.

- Focusing on the input (process) and doing it long enough, the trophies will follow.

Completely agree that if your team possesses the ball 70-80% of the time, then Onana would be okay. He won’t need to face plenty shots and can help with his passing ability while making occasional saves (as needed).

But this past season, we needed a proper shot stopper to avoid conceding stupid straight shot goals. Go check Onana’s 23/24 highlights na.
Nitrogen, if we had a good shot stopper, how would we have known ETH is playing haram football?
Same thing DDG used in killing himself...he stopped so many shots, then when he had his bad days, we all put the blame on him.
But was he the real problem??

Ellexy:
Onana with his playstyle will have crazy off days but with a stable defence in front of him, he has shown he's capable of holding his own. One thing he has going is his mentality. He has shown that during his Ajax days, he showed that at Inter as well. He was very instrumental in their run to the CL final.

Even if you pit prime Neuer between the sticks with the way the team defended this season, there won't be much difference in the number of goals conceded. As a matter of fact Onana had the highest goal prevention of any keeper this season in the league.

Let's give him a stable defense and see how far. Same applies to Hoijlund, he was the least passed to from teammates among strikers in the PL this season. Imagine that. They were barely creating anything for him and he was feeding on scraps. Oga turned to a wrestler out of frustration. I pray whoever is in charge next season addresses these issues.
It was so clear yesterday Højlund is doing a serious work upfront.
Immediately he came in, the game changed.

I think ETH should be arres.ted because of the way he is using this guys. cry

I don’t think he is consistent and reliable enough as a shot stopper and I voiced my concerns before he was bought.

If I wanted to give a critical analysis I would say his reflexes are not the best and his hand is not the strongest. I am also not sure of his aerial prowess.

He will perform better behind a settled defence but let’s not pretend like Onana has not had his shortcomings.
Those shortcomings still doesn't make him a wrong buy or the club got it wrong. You are isolating his current coach and environment.

Ronaldo performed badly under ETH, did the club get it wrong in signing him?

Is there any player under ETH giving us Elite performance?

It is really difficult to judge any player under ETH tactics..

Onana is still a good buy. He took some time to settle, and that's understandable considering he just came in and hasn't gotten a constant defensive partnership because of the injuries. ETH's weird tactics also exposed him to a lot of shots. Most goal keepers will struggle under these conditions.
100%. Put Onana in Man city and he would have been among the best keepers this season.
