That takes us to another question, what is your definition of being wealthy?

There is a biological ceiling on the number of people a person can know and relate with personally in a life time, It's ceiled at 150 persons(definition of a small village)

Never consider yourself wealthy if you don't transcend the norms, values and culture of the group that surrounds you to live the life you truely desire......Norms values and culture of our group are the prisons we all are locked in and need to free ourselves from

Of course you shouldn't expect 24 hrs eletricity. But what i expect is that someone who got about N80m as pay-off not to go bankrupt under 2-5 years and be looking for contract job

For you to get an #80 million severance package, it must mean ur time input into company affairs must be very valuable so the company must have provided u a ride that is changed every 5 years, a comfortable living quarters, probably bursary for your kids education, to mention a few

If you happen to see only the perks company gives you and not your time input into company affairs, you might probably make the highlighted mistake

The link is though you are an employee it is always good to have investing/entrepreneurship acumen. A good percentage of Shell workers could not maintain their living standard within 2-5 years after collecting pay off because they did not develop these skills when working. The priviledges they enjoyed while working did not allow them plan for life after work. Many took consultancy jobs to survive. Only very few opened service companies after they left.
When one lives this life of comparative scrutiny, you may never enjoy your current life, one good thing with working with big firms, you get to enjoy the laws of economics of scale as fringe benefits

Take for example, electricity, Shell must generate lots of mega watts to power their drilling equipment successfully, the remnant of their power generation activities might power 3 local government successfully in Rivers state.....

Now a typical shell staff would enjoy 24hrs light in his quarters and be able to use any type of home appliance

I want to believe it is out of place for employees of shell to start thinking of how they would enjoy 24hrs light to maintain the standard of living they previously enjoyed

Rak unity Pet is slowly winding down operations
Ardova is aggressively building filling stations
MRS............I don't know

I suspect silent mergers, acquisitions are going on

Quite a whole lot of past post to read from!
Was looking to see if those who heavily criticized UACN would be among the many. Particularly those that were projecting a 2-3 entry price back then… but they have all disappeared. What a world we live in! wink cheesy grin

Felicitation to all those who keyed in @ btw N4.5-4.6 (when we 1st called it out here) up to an AP of N6-7 (a period which saw the coy consolidate for quite some time) and were patient enough to reap their rewards.
For the mid to long term folks, UACN is a HOLD!
Raking off the peg from both the special div and UPDC REITS allotment (circa 55k + approx N1.27) the 65k actual div still carries a real return slightly higher than everything the fixed income space can offer. …more so, when UACN books is now even much more healthier.

For the short term folks, an added 15-37% premium from previous mkt close of N9.90 is feasible but with a 1-0.67 probability as u go up that premium (low to high)... so yes UACN can still rise from here!
That said, those journeying with the vehicle should do well to drop off @ ur desired destination in line with ur set out plan before embarking on it.

GSK is another that will very well reward the patient. With GSK, the clause “extremely under-priced” is the most fitting/perfect description. The just released YE 2020 financial print shows that even @ a price peg of N15, GSK will still have an MoS(RR in view) that can more than cover up for an above average risk premium.
As I stated here back then, those looking at the surface (EM effect, certain key profitability and growth indices) in the SoI will not see the HUGE VALUE therein. …unless u dig much much deeper into the coys CFS, then relate and where necessary benchmark against certain very pivotal lines in their BS.

Hear this; Even if an “emefielenical play” should increase yield at the fixed income space by over 2x and/or a fiscal play should push up surrounding risk (i.e inflation peg) by near the same margin, GSK will still be undervalued @ N15.
Elsewhere, certain KEY No trend in the coys CFS and BS is again telling me that something positive(the pursuit for ROI in view) might happen in the not so distant future… including but not limited to the possibility of a buyout @ a very juicy premium.

But we are done talking GSK. Time will help take good care of the rest!

Disclaimer: Before u act on this post, pls do well to read through my signature below. …and even then ensure u are fully guided by ur instinct.

A guy lost his job, he met his brother who has a Shareholders Association for advice.

His brother told him to use part of his severance package to register a Shareholders Association, use 300k to buy shares in over 200 companies on NSE and NASD. Boom he is in business.

Joblessness and corruption is responsible for the proliferation of shareholders association in Nigeria. We have over 1000 shareholders associations.

Depending on the company and pedigree of the leader of the shareholders association, some companies pay as high as 100k for praising the company at AGM.

But GTB is stingy, they don't like GTB.

Imagine having N1000 worth of shares in 300 companies, but you collect up to N10,000 as PR from the companies

I would probably register NSEMPA as the foremost active shareholder association in Nigeria and boom I too would start getting my cut

You don't need to be a miner to make money in cryptocurrency.
There are miners, and there are traders and investors.

You need to do some research on things you don't quite understand, and become knowledgeable.

Concerning the post above, which provided a premise for your expected condemnation, why would any sensible person buy from a telegram group when there lots of recognized exchanges??

Most info on bit coin just get way too technical before one gets to the 10th page,

I just want to obtain money(bit coin), keep it and spend it when I want, but this whole bit coin makes it look like I'm learning a new trade

Maybe that's y it appeals to I.T individuals

One reason many people can never be entrepreneurs is the TRANZACTION COST in dealing with customers

Reading an annual report or going through a company's account summarizes figures and not hurdles encountered in making those numbers true to meaning

Take sales for instance, many might not understand what it takes to make sales, the chasing of customers up and down, undercutting of competitors, giving extremely generous credit lines , @ times lies we generate to avoid taking back goods and services gone bad from customers ....... This usually is for the one man business

When you cap this transaction cost up, many people including me just prefer to collect a token as wages and allow Oga deal with the rigors of business

Good day ladies and gentlemen. Please is anyone here afraid of investing into agriculture? I think the best place to invest your money right now in Nigeria is agriculture. Due to food inflation going on Everytime now in Nigeria, I think it's safe to say agricultural investment is one of the best investment right now in Nigeria.
Now I have access to about 100 hectares of farm land in Benue state. It's in a safe community free from Fulani herdsmen issues and community crisis's.
So I'm hoping if anyone here is interested in investing into agriculture, can work with me in cultivating cassava and sesame seed in the land. You can fully fund the whole project if you want, all I have to do is make sure the land is available and also security is available. Workers and everything needed in the farm can be provided by me. My gain will just be 30% of the total profit made from the project. Please if interested you can asked me for more explanation and cost of starting everything thank you very much.
Do you really know the true nature of agriculture......

Fintech is disrupting everywhere and causing commotion everywhere. Traditional banks are losing their staffs, and now they are losing their customers so the aggression is understandable. grin

And young people will prefer Fintech because of their innovation. PayPal doesn't accept Nigerians till Flutterwave came. Nigerian freelancers have always being duped by traditional banks exchanging their USD for them at 380 before these apps came.

All Nigerian banks card have now set a limit of $100 on international purchase before Barter came.
These people are casing commotion everywhere, offering real value and I love to see it.

Even in Europe, Revolut, Monzo, N26 and Starling bank are causing these kind of commotion cool cheesy

b. Gambling/Betting of all sort
c. Network Marketing/ Referral business program
d. Agritech & affiliatiate marketing

Thank you for you anticipated responses.

Suffering will forever be a mindset.....That u carried block for 8 years and can boast of 2million in your account speaks a lot about you

My dear you don't need advice again, u r a MAN

What u must change is the mindset that a block carrier is a failure......
