Politics › What Has Atiku Contributed To D Development Of Nigeria With All His Time In Govt by MaJBlige(op): 11:41pm On Jan 03, 2011 |
In customs. In government. I even heard this man was dismissed from the Nigerian Customs. This man headed the privatisation project, selling most public businesses to himself and his cronies. This man was in government for 8 years, amassing wealth for and to himself and his family. This man now runs a University where he claims he pays his teachers $1million PA.
What has this man got in his portfolio to make him suitable to come around and want to rule Nigeria as a President? What? To steal us dry again? To buy more houses in Poto? To fight everyone and offer nothing worth talking about? What? |

Arm chair critics. LOL. Which issues has your thick necked Atiku addressed?
For eight years, he stole and stole and stole, now, he wants to continue where he stopped? You can say all you want, arm chair critics, but the man Atiku is desperate and is using every tick in the book to get noticed. But the fact is, how many people has forgotten so easily his thieving days in government since his time in customs or he is suddenly become a saint?
What has Atiku contributed to the development of Nigeria since all his time in government? Nothing. So, what else or what more can he contribute? |

Hypocrites. When GEJ made a statement immediately after the October 1 bombings, you all shout him down as someone who doesnt think before talking, he shouldnt have said what he said, he should have kept quiet. Now, he has kept quiet, and the opposite is now the yabbis, he should have said something. Anyway, this is NairaLand, opinions dont matter, because well meaning Nigerians and those who wish Nigeria well dont come here. |

9ijaMan: Another lame attempt by an inept leader to divert attention to non issues. What's with GEJ and Al-Jazeera? Our president has a lot of national crises to contend with, yet he's busying himself with discrediting a news media outfit. GEJ's statement yesterday (delivered by Niboro) already showed where the government wants to face, yet they are here again denying a media organization that is simply stating the obvious.
Reading through other threads since the blast last night shows that the presidency is tacitly towing the religious line and poor Nigerians are falling for it, even when it's obvious that both Christians and Muslims were affected in the blast last nite.
Niboro should just keep his cavity shut and assist his weakling master to provide security for the citizenry. Politics and opposition apart, how can a Nigerian reason like this? |

LOL.
Look at the thinking of a human being. Sad.
I am thinking this one is not a Nigerian. or a "black british". or a JJC in the UK. You assume we havent stepped to where you are, gotten tired and left? Is it because you still have a cleaning job? LOL. For your information, I have houses and none of those things have ever happened, silly boy. Loud mouth for nothing. People who talk like you end up regretting their life.
The houses you pay 200,000 pounds and more for in the UK, - 50 million naira - how can you compare them to the same property that 50million naira will build you in Nigeria where your family can inherit same? So, you want to buy houses in the UK where none of your family will ever inherit it when you are gone? LOL.
As per living overtime- dont worry about that. You are trying to be God, but the devil your master is behind you, hoping to hack you down before the end of this year. |

I think it is obvious who the brainless one is. Read my post properly before ejacu, lating in your boxers.

How can a reasonable person compare the items on sale in one pound shops in the UK to items on sale at Galleria/Palms? That is very naive and to say the least, myopic. The galleria cost multi million dollars to build, so is the palms, and others, therefore, the rents dont come cheap, the items come in from abroad, not at cheap costs, yet you compare them to one pound shops in run down places like east ham, peckham etc. Do you know your economics very well? Have you ever bought anything from abroad to sell in Nigeria? and know why items costs more than what you buy abroad? Who told you the shops at the palms/galleria are run by Lebanese? LOL. and who runs the one pound shops in the UK? Indians and Pakistanis. LOL. Maybe you clean the toilets of one of them. LOL.
Dubai products? This shows you have not bought anything from the shops you are running down neither have you bought things from Dubai. LOL. |

Dr Know: I don't agree with your comment. When so much has been spent on the attempt to increase the capacity of power generation, the people are entitled to complain when things do not change. It is because people like you have been kept in darkness for so long that has affected your sense of normal situation. So when you have some hours of continous supply of power you are over the moon and think the phcn has ahieved a milestone feat. Who cares? |
Politics › Re: Phcn System Collapse Plunges Country Into Darkness by MaJBlige(f): 7:53am On Dec 31, 2010 |
koruji: @Ma_J_Blige Very interesting! There were actually threads started here on NL praising GEJ for the change in power supply. So you got that wrong. Even if nobody praised him the default should be constant electricity, as long as people pay for it. When you can't supply it then you ought to expect complains - that is the way it should work.
On the "constant electricity" that you and many Nigerian cities have being receiving, where did this come from. For the answer you have to consider that over this entire period the power supply capacity had not improved considerably. So where did the new "constant power" come from? Well, GEJ & his advisers put in place a strategy that is not obvious to most Nigerians. Although he hinted at it, the ordinary man would not realize what is going on.
Basically, your "constant electricity" in Lagos, Abuja and other big cities was from a rob Peter to pay Paul strategy. Supply of electricity to smaller towns and villages were reduced, and directed to these big cities. At the time, I felt like pointing out that this is the strategy & criticizing it but realized it is actually a GOOD SHORT-TERM strategy. You feed the cities that have the highest value per unit of electricity. The problem is that it is only a SHORT-TERM strategy. However, GEJ started talking as if this constituted a sustainable strategy, and that is the source of the frustration. Where is your proof to the bolded? |
Politics › Re: Phcn System Collapse Plunges Country Into Darkness by MaJBlige(f): 7:50am On Dec 31, 2010 |
BetaThings: Sorry, we never experienced that type of miracle in Lagos. And not everyone will have that experience until GEJ can push generation well above 10,000MW. If he is just maintaining the same 3,600MW that he inherited, why must he be praised? The fact that a technical fault can cause this problem exposes the illogicality of the fulsome praise previously heaped on Johnathan. There is no room for error. How much has he added to generation. Has he stopped importing petrol? See the amount of noise he has made about stabilising fuel supply.
In April this year, Jakumo started a thread, praising Johnathan for solving for ever the power problem in Nigeria. After only 2 months of being acting President? That is a miracle only a prophet can accomplish. But people started saying no it is true etc like you are doing now. And when people keep on saying things that you know are not true, it becomes difficult to even listen when they tell the truth
Forgive me, but you are wrong in thinking that Johnathan is different from the others. He is being in PDP for so long. He is beholden to so many that he can hardly afford to upset the existing order. Eg what can he do to Anenih. Now we hear that Sambo is meeting with the Chinese to sell Olorunsogo and Omotosho power plants to the Chinese. Why? The Nigerian Engineers cannot read the manual because it is written in Chinese! This is the action proposed by a government headed by a PhD holder. No matter how silly Johnathan is, that cannot be the reason. They just want to raise money.
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-433272.0.html
This is what Johnathan promised https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-402020.0.html Too much English, but at the end of the day, nothing meaningful has been said. Where did you get my thinking from? You stay behind your computer, and tell people their thinking? How do you know my thinking about Jonathan? I hate people who think they know better than others. You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine, fine, but never you attempt to think for me. |
