Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Hobbies To Include In A Cv by majorgr: 3:12am On May 22, 2021
From you hobbies, one can easily tell if you are a team player. I was amazed when someone actually describe my behavior just by reading my hobbies in my CV. For instance, I included this that were self-oriented(reading, writing, cooking, etc). These doesn't contribute to others but to you personally. IMMEDIATELY after reading, he said I might have a problem as to i might not be a team player. Usually, hobbies that are sports shows stronger evaluation of your behavior because you can't play sport without a team and it really shows you can work together in getting things done which most companies are looking out for.

Education / Re: 10 Great Wisdom Of Ants That Will Change Your Life Forever. by majorgr: 2:42am On May 03, 2021
Very nice writeup, also consider the attached pic of John Lubbock's observations of ant. You can see why the Bible asked for us to consider them, they would not purposely degrade themselves by being drunk with alcohol as most human beings have done. They are truly amazing creatures

Kindly note that point number 2 does not refer to ants but termites. Even though it's called an anthill, it's actually termites that builds those hills and they are taxonomicaly different from ants. Notwithstanding, the same writeup could be said of termites.

Furthermore, do you know that ants practice Agriculture? Inside their chambers, they have their own farms for mushrooms that's why you observe them cutting leaves to their homes, where they condition it to give them mushrooms for their nutrient requirements and also, if you have ever noticed let's say a mango tree with folded leaves with ants on them, those are ants farmers rearing insects to produce sugary honeydews for them, in return, they offer such insect protection, food and a condusive environment.

A lot of people don't know, though large as they may be, they can't kill you although their sting pack a powerful punch. We don't have the exact species of scorpion in Nigeria that can kill except in other parts of the world which is not even in Africa. Infact, some people would even tell you that the bigger the scorpion the better because younger ones don't know how to control the release of their venom and may empty everything as they sting you compared to matured ones.
In summary, emperor scorpion, though very painful, can't kill you but would make your life uncomfortable for some time.

The way I see it, we should be careful of some kind of relationships we are entering, it may seem good at the surface but may not be what God has destined for us. For instance nothing was working out for the man while he was in the relationship with her even though he was a graduate he could not even keep a decent job, but the moment he left her, his breakthrough came! To top matter, the true colour of the lady was revealed after breaking up with her even though he tried all possible best to reunite before his breakthrough. My opinion though.

Agriculture / Re: My Watermelon Is Dying, Help! by majorgr: 12:31am On Sep 29, 2020
Obviously, it's raining and due to the rain there is a lot of splashing forcing the crop to interact with pathogens in the soil, it won't do well naturally if you've got no fungicide spraying regime, that's why some farmers tend to grow water melons in the dry season with drip irrigation to minimize such an interaction with the soil that hosts abundant pathogens. Next time, prepare for a fungicide spraying regime and fertilization. To successfully grow water melon, you will also need to fertilize them, you can give npk at younger stage but when you start to notice flowering, give PK, the N is no more needed but the PK which will boost fruit production. Water melons could be nutrient hungry hence the need to fertilize

Since we are just an average citizen, we are not weathlthy to be ordering those Low chilled varieties from South Africa or Abroad.

Since wambugu apple variety is common here and require no chill hour for fruiting, i plan on crossing (hand pollinating) The Pink lady apple seed am growing with the wambugu that is already acclimated to Nigeria climate, the result might yield a low chill aplle better Than wambugu in taste and appearance and better than pink lady apple with low chill hour requirement.

I like that you're really thinking like a breeder. I'd be interested to see the outcome.
One example that comes to mind is that southern sheeps have been bred with Northern sheeps to ensure their survival in both locations usually they don't survive when you interchange their origin due cause to the high level of heat experienced in the North and the milder weather in the south. The principles of breeding have been applied to animals and is working in plants too.
It'd be a great idea to do what you have in mind.

There is one thing you people should know, while it is true that the saying was made that apples don't grow in Nigeria, the same was said years back! What you guys don't know is that since those times, plant breeders were researching and breeding a new variety that could grow in the tropics like Nigeria due to high demands for viable seeds. It wasn't possible then because of the long period it takes to breed a single crop, for example, it takes a shrub like plantain and banana 15 years to develop just a new variety how much more apple!. In other words, this is due cause to the efforts of plant breeders who have painstakingly bred another variety of apples that is hardy and could grow in Nigeria therefore, the notion that apples don't grow in Nigeria which is an aged notion is now outdated due cause to new improved varieties that were bred by plant breeders to satisfy seed demands of customers. Sadly, plant breeders don't get much recognition and also Nigerians hardly want to study such course because of how difficult it could be and the time it takes to develop an improved variety of Crop.

How do u plant oninons

Contrary to the popular belief that onion does not have seeds, it actually does have seeds. Go to any recognize agric store and buy onion seeds, they are really tiny so you'll broadcast them on to the bucket or earth with some mild toppings with soil. Don't wet everyday especially if the soil is still wet to avoid seeds rottening. Wet intermittently when you notice the drying out of the earth

Usually you spray fingicides, go to your local agro allied store to ask for the one suitable. Never spray pesticides if crop has started flowering to prevent fruits from containing unsafe amount of pesticides.
Also, the picture didn't really capture the disease so i don't know how to address it. Could you snap from a better view?

HeyHey:

This is really nice ooo, what kind of manure did she use and is it store bought seeds or from her kitchen.

Im starting something, will keep you all posted

Store bought seeds, usually improved varieties. The soil was gotten from a virgin land very fertile and black. But usually from observation crops like cucumber, water melon and cabbage because they were planted using 7 litre buckets would not do well if you don't add fertilizer. Not much though lest you kill the plant just like the cap from glass bottle mineral drinks.

Yes You can plant onion with seed, water leaves, cucumbers, bell pepper, tomato, aleovera, water melon, letus, carrot, etc. I've done all these before and it was really a blessing eating what i produced myself using buckets and containers due to the fact that there was no planting space around. In fact my neighbors were even benefiting from it better than i did because i traveled a lot. The pictures are just a few, i moved house so i haven't got time to replant

Its not a questionnaire based research,
Data to be collected include plant size, fruit weight.. E. T. C

You will still need to subject them to statistical analysis. You will have to collect them manually and then analyze using spss or any other software. Do you need the app to help you organize the data?
Yours is to collect the data and organize them using excel which would be exported to spss

Best bet is to contact a freelancer that would design one for you. Because even if you see such app, it might have been modified to fit a different purpose and may not correlate with your intended parameters. Unlesa is a questionnaire based research, you can use google questionnaire services to create a survey. I've forgotten the actual name

Over 70% of Christians watch porn and 50% of ministers watch porn. (This doesn’t even include lusting.) It doesn’t stop until age sets in. Either heaven will be empty or, full of ex perverts. I believe i'm not alone in this struggle, i just want a lasting solution to porn addiction. I need help to overcome this struggle

I wonder how you got your statistics did you carry out a survey yourself?
For you to say that 70 % of Christians watch porn and ministers 50%, you either have taken a comprehensive survey your self or you got this from a source which you didn't acknowledge. Even if you got it from a source, I would like to study their methodology on how they arrive at these figures, because as a christain, i cant remember anybody coming to me for a survey to that effect. Because to conclude, you must have done a word wide based investigation taking a representative sample from each christain nationality, not to mention you also need an experimental design too and lots more before concluding that nearly every christain watches porn
Agriculture / Re: Great Farmers Am Seeking For Solution On A Mistake Made On My Farm. by majorgr: 3:57am On Jan 29, 2020
To me, this is a new idea and deserving much attention for future studies.
Actually, the root of plantain which is considered a shrub doesn't go deep. I think what the people did was to put into consideration that cashew will later sink its roots deeper to the ground compared to the plantain. Still, at this stage, they would still be some form of competition for nutrients but later, the cashew would out grow this. Beside, from the look of things from the picture you posted, the cashew doesn't look malnuriched but well and adapting. Actually, cashews (depends on variety) are very hardy, sometimes they even grow like weeds in empty lands. They can withstand a lot of pressure! Observe them for a while, if the cashew are affected, then you will have to remove the shrubs which are not even nitrogen fixing. Usually, when we intercrop like this, we pick a crop that can benefit the other for instance, a crop than can provide nitrogen to the other: maize and soy beans. The current are not beneficiary of the other

Education / Re: Getting Admission For Masters Program With Fake B.sc by majorgr: 3:15pm On Dec 19, 2019
People need to understand that having given you admission, the university still goes ahead to contact the supposed university where you finished from to authenticate. Even if you escape this, any organization or company you work for always does background checks on all their staff at least before promoting you to a high rank. So no matter what you do, on false degree, you will still be caught and then it would be so painful because you'd have started to build a life and family and end up being arrested.

The Bible says for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. In other words, it means God has not changed His mind on using you mightily. He said come back to me and I will come back to you. Some of the greatest men that did wonders for God, check their life's story, they came out from deep sin worse than yours and God was able to use them like no one would. For instance Saul was breathing out murderous threats to the church, see how he turned out to be a man beautifully used by God.
