Changing school or Course of study doesnt in any way affect ur chance of getting ur Visa.. We have seen several monikers getting their visa after they changed to another course that was suitable for the issuance of ther visa.. So if u believe ur new course of study or school will favor you, then go ahead and apply with the new course/School.. But please make sure the new course yoiu are choosing is very related together ur 1st degree or work experience.... Peace

I will advise you submit the new one if you have it already, as we all know when u renew ur Old passport to a new one, the immigration officer stamps on the Old passport making it not Valid again(INVALID), meaning even if you submit the Old passport ur Visa cant be stamped on it cos its no more valid. But the new one will have the Passport number of the Old one on it. So I will advise you submit the new one, this shouldn't be an Issue at all.. But if you are still not convinced then u can submit both but I still insist submitting just the new one is enough.. Peace

I'm very optimistic about my reapplication for Sept 2019 because I tackled the VO's concern but I have a little challenge, fam.

My passport will expire by Jan 2020 and I'm wondering if I should send a new passport alongside my old passport that I used for reapplication once PPR drops because my intent is to travel by Jan 2020??

I'm asking because student visa can't be valid for more than the stipulated expiration date on a passport.

Yes, someone can still get refused after Medical has been passed, be it Medical request or Upfront... The refusal for Medical request is very low, like below 20%, while the refusal for Upfront medicals is above 50%.. It all depends on if you either meet their requirements as a whole i.e If you are Eligible to study in Canada according to the study permit immigration law.. But be hopeful, it shall end in praise. The current template I’m following is to address the most current refusal, and then explain how I have addressed previous refusals.
Is this necessary or should I only address the current refusal if previous refusal reasons were not mentioned in the latest GCMS note and refusal letter ?

So many applicants have gotten their Visas after changing Courses and schools after their previous refusals.. So it's possible.. Peace

This is a do it yourself forum.. So If you are going through the study route, I will advise you read up this forum form previous parts up till this part, I bet you that u will be fully knowledgable about applying for study Visa.. please do not approach agents, they do more harm than good cos they are always after the money.. You can also apply for the express entry immigration process, since you have so many years of work experience and also I wanna assume you have a Masters degree.. The only factor that I see that may reduce ur scores in the Express Entry application is ur age, but like we all knw, MIRACLES HAPPENS.. Good luck and peace ..

I used Western Union Student Global Pay, it is less expensive than Flywire based on bank transfer.

If you found a way to use Form A, it's the cheapest, in any case, having a dorm account helps.

I have observe something of recent on this thread, especially with peeps that have gotten Passport request.. Of recent Peeps that have waited for over a month for them to get their Passporf back from the embassy stand a high risk of getting a notification of fraudulent bank statement or fake Employment.. So the prayer everyone dt gets PPR is for them to get their passports back within 2 weeks of submitting cos the longer ur Passports stays with them the more risky it is for the applicants.. Just my personal observation tho, nt saying it is entirely true.... I pray all those that have gotten PPR will surely get their Visas.... Peace

Be honest with ursef, did u submit any fraudulent bank statements, if yes, then I must tell u dt it will be difficult escaping the ban except a miracle happens.. Buh if u are sure ur bank Statements are genuine, then u have nothing to worry abojt.. Just go to ur bank and do the needful.. Peace

My cousin brother who is very active in the US thread directed me to this thread to seek for urgent help. I applied for a study visa on March 26th with an upfront medicals. My upfront medicals was updated to pass on May 15th. I received passport request on May 21st. I submitted my passport on a Friday being May24th.

Ever since then I haven’t heard from cic why the delay not until June 21st they contacted me about a fraudulent bank statement I used for my application. I have been given 10days to respond. Please what can I do, this is my 4th day and the time is fast ticking, I need help. I don’t want to be banned, I have even broadcasted about my traveling. This shame is gonna be too much on me. Has anyone ever excaped this issue before?Please gurus and non gurus your advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks @Frankrobbn1 @Qudom @Justmellow etc

There is no specific time frame of ppr after Medical passed.. Some have gotten it days after Medical passed, some got it weeks and some got it months aftee.. So I will advise you still chill, if after 2 or 3 weeks u dnt hear from them, then u can start shooting ur shots at CIC.. Peace

I will advise you really take ur time, wait for ur GCMS and study the actual reasons the VO refused ur Application.. Fall 2020 Is still kinda far.. Dont rush to re-apply, take ur time, prepare well and re-fire.. ma 2 kobo. PEACE

Ur SOA is nt bad tbo.. have u paid ur school fees? If yes, then dis is very ok.. Yea choice of degree can be a problem if you fail to convince them the relationship between ur 1st degree and ur intended degree... And also if you fail to convince them how that degree can be of benefits to you in the future ... Peace

A brother applied in April, he has a BSc in Animal Science and wants to go for a Dipolma in Food and Nutrition. If your application falls in the hands of a good VO, he/she will not hesitate to approve you even without an SOP but if you meet a sadist and racist, I am sorry, no amount of your sweet SOP will change his)her mind

Was the repeated Medicals passed? If yes you can submit the slip given you with other documents when re-applying.. And for ur refusal, u will need to order for ur GCMS note to know the exact reason ur application was refused ... And also work on ur finances in ur next application cos it's obvious u were not able to convince them financially that you are capable of ur expenses while in Canada.. Peace

Thy send a msg from a medical center london to repeat some test that it wasnt ok, which is about sending the on Monday but they now send a refusal mail on thursday from kenya. That he financial status is too low and do not believe he leave canada after his study. Please your advice

Sorry for ur refusal ... But with the look of things with ur post,it's obvious u haven't been able to convince them that u are a genuine student that is going to Canada to study and then come back to ur home country.. So in ur next application, u need to write a string and convincing SOP stating why u are studying ur preferred course and how it can be beneficial to you in the future.. Also u fail to convince them that u are financially capable of ur studies and expenses in Canada and also home tie. So u need to work on ur finances in ur next application . Like u will always advise, order for ur GCMS to knw what really is the problem with ur application from the VOs view... Peace

An eight-page SOP is just too long and the VO probably didn't read it, or got confused reading it. In my view, the only way a VO would read such a lengthy SOP is (a) you have a concise TL DR on the first page OR (b) your writing is like Chimamanda prose.

An eight-page SOP is a sign to the VO that you have not yet figured out your reasons for wanting to study in Canada.

I have been seeing peeps telling u go to Qlife, go to IOM bla bla bla, but the decision still boils down on you.. IOM fee is around 45K or so and its in Ikeja, while Qlife is 35k and its on the Island.. Personally I did mine in Qlife and my result was sent to the embassy within 3 days.. Am nt saying u should use Qlife tho, like I said the decision is urs.. Both Clinics are good, for CIC to have recommended them. I think its just these 2 clinics CIC use outta the thousands of clinics we have in Nigeria, so that shows they are really good and trusted by CIC. So the decision is left for to choose which u want.. I just got booked for medical examination by both Qlife and IOM (Abuja) for 26th June. For the guys who have done medicals, please which of the 2 is the better option? Considering the likelihood of delay, service delivery, etc. I really don't mind going to any of them, but i just don't want to pick randomly without any reason.

I don't do quick review of SOP, I actually take ma time to review to be sure the SOP is good to go to the best of ma knowledge.. Peeps that do a quick and rush review will help u out on this... Peace
