Education / Re: Abia State To Reopen Primary And Secondary Schools On September 28 by MalaikaEH(f): 3:10pm On Sep 25, 2020
This is commendable, especially the plan to complete 2019/2020, session. I hope they will continue the BCA radio class, because it's what those of us in Imo state are using to keep body and soul together.
Our own state has denied us of any form of education since lockdown started. Now, all South East states have began normal school or have announced their date or procedures for reopening, but Imo state is still keeping everyone in the dark.

God is watching.

Politics / Re: Lightning Strike Kills 15 Head Of Cattle in Ekiti by MalaikaEH(f): 5:12am On Sep 21, 2020
"Head of cows"; was it Just the heads that were struck by lightning or the whole cows?

Anyway, going by the price of a cow in the market, I wonder what these herdsmen are doing with the money they make. If these cows were sheltered in a well constructed ranch, they won't be left under the rain, and thus, exposed to lightning.

These herdsmen should spend money on buying lands and building ranches. Not using their cows to destroy other people's farmlands.
I heard their association talking about investment recently. Investment means sowing money and not hoping to feed from destruction of other people's (farmers') investments or hoping that state governments will dash them free lands for ruga.

Above every other factor, Gov. Obaseki won because he did well during his first tenure of office. He maintained utmost regard for welfare of his people, such as prompt payment of salary and pensions along with other good works, which Oshiomole failed to do as governor.

A lesson for other leaders.

Ngenge:
What of Hopeless Ozodimgba's state?

He is not gaining any revenue from schools, because it's called "free education", so schools can stay closed as long as possible. Being one of the first number of states to rush into locking down schools, even weeks before it recorded its index case. Now its behaving as though it is the epicenter of COVID-19 in Africa.
Besides, once they reopen, principals/ head teachers will begin to ask for chalk money without returning any revenue. "Free education" in South East is almost "worthless" education, and he and his Commissioner for Education don't have enough lever to change it. So, the pupils continue to suffer the consequences not knowing what's hitting them.

That notwithstanding, nothing for you until we finish Edo/Ondo elections. That's where the real show will exchange hands, if you get what I mean.

Call 112 on emergency if you don't have airtime. It's toll free. But still have airtime in the phone anyway, you may need to call a relative or alert neighbours.

Crime / Re: Do I Report My Bank To CBN Or Sue Them? by MalaikaEH(f): 8:46pm On Sep 15, 2020
OP, I suggest you continue talking with Access bank customer care. They will still resolve the issue. At times, resolving bank issues take time, especially if it is inter bank matter.

I also noticed that Access bank had network issues last week. I needed to pay about 15 different people through Firstbank mobile transfer. All other banks' transfers were successful apart from three that were Access bank. I had to call the recipients to ask for other bank bank accounts before doing the transfers.
Access bank needs to repair their electronic system urgently.

THAT SEEMS A BIT SEXIST DON'T YOU THINK?

No. Not at all. It's eventually the same penalty, apart from the recommendation that this woman's head be thoroughly examined. Even male rapist target one girl at a time, but this woman took in five boys at the same time. It appears quite odd.

IF IT WERE A MAN THAT RAPED 5 GIRLS WOULD YOU RECOMMEND A PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL OR IMPRISONMENT!!!!

If it was a man, yes, life imprisonment for him.
Psychiatric test for him - NO, because men are often the culprits. It seems a norm for them. But for a woman, oh my goodness! They have to examine her head before sending her to jail.
Politics / Re: Edo 2020 Governorship Election Debate On Channels TV: PDP Vs APC by MalaikaEH(f): 9:15pm On Sep 13, 2020
After reading through the comments, I'm yet to see one person that moved his/her support from one candidate to the other because of the debate. Instead, all of us are looking for more reasons to support the person we have been supporting from day one.

Debates and election campaigns don't sway voters in Nigeria, irrespective of how well the candidates speak. They only exist in order to fulfil all righteousness.

Get the ninety percent first, then fight for the remainder if you really have the time, because the bank and state will surely make it a prolonged issue.

I don't see any problem here. Your wife says she won't cook for them, so what? Is she going to lock the kitchen? Can't you cook?
Good a thing, you can invite the church member to help you cook, serve and wash dishes. Leave your wife out of it, if that's what she wants.

Life is very simple.

Berryli,
What I didn't get from your story is why you started visiting him in the first place. A guy should do the visiting initially. The guy has interpreted your visits to mean that you are wooing him and all he is doing is simply return the affection in a man's way.

If you are not interested in him and his relationship, it's simple. Stop enjoying his company. Stop visiting him. Even, stop answering his calls and chats. Let him think about going after other girls. Don't visit him, not even once in a year. Go find the kind of guy you want.

You cannot eat your cake and have it.

Education / Re: What Is D Right Option? Eng Test 1 by MalaikaEH(f): 8:12pm On Aug 31, 2020
Option A (will come) appears to be the attractive right answer because tomorrow is yet to come, but the inclusion of option C (would come) negates it because the main verb (said) is in past tense.

Imagine the statement was actually made three months ago and report it again. You have to use "would". Option A (will come) will be the correct answer if the main verb had been "says".

Education / Re: How The Best WAEC Student In My Set Never Wrote The Exam. by MalaikaEH(f): 5:10am On Aug 27, 2020
Exam malpractice is caused by proliferation of schools and it's actually what the students want. New schools should meet certain criteria before they open. School authorities allow exam malpractice mainly because they have no or limited choice. I know of a school, two years ago, where the principal was new. He was the "born again Christian" type of person. While addressing the students on his first day, he told them that he will never allow exam malpractice of any type, especially in all external exams advising the students to study hard. This was before SS3 began their WAEC registrations. Out of over seventy SS3 students at the time, only six registered and wrote the exam at that school. The rest left for other schools where they thought they will feel free.

This year, the same principal is allowing malpractice at his school.

Stopping exam malpractice won't be possible unless all schools and parents take the decision collectively, which I doubt can ever happen with freewill. It can only happen when education authorities wake up and make laws that impose heavy fines on offenders.

Also, students who fail internal promotion exams should repeat the class as was the practice before. Only those who pass entrance exams should be admitted into schools. Admissions should not be an all comers affair.

If the education authorities at all levels will look into the aforementioned areas and device workable means of enforcing them, the system will cleanse itself with time.

from your explanations, I don't see how your life is on the line. I advise you to stop playing with your life. WASSCE is not a do or die affair. Just pray, do your best by reading and writing the exams, and leave the rest for God.
