Devaan Hanna tion, an NTA anchor person that I follow on Facebook made the following post. I think it is interesting for young people who need to know what to expect in marriage. "Not trying to scare anybody but sometimes seeing something clearly spelt out sends the message home more succinctly. As you prepare for marriage remember: Ladies - You will cook EVERYDAY at least once till old age or death even if you have hired help. The volume of cooking will be amplified on ALL festive occasions If you are lucky enough to have a chef, and full retinue of domestic staff (extremely rare) you will still need to supervise them and be on your best behavior to your husband and in-laws so they know you are deserving of your current lifestyle. In this case, you MUST born boy o. You will have to raise your kids yourself if you want them to have certain values. You cannot outsource that to the nanny (if your husband is kind enough to let you have one). Your house has to be as clean as you can help DAILY. No more sweeping once a week. Now na daily. You can no longer wake up and lounge in bed till 10 during the weekends then eat indomie and relax for the rest of the day. Dat one na complete lie. E no go happen. You can no longer pursue things that interest you passionately. You just won’t have enough time to. By the way, you will do ALL of the above while holding down a job or means of livelihood. Gents - You can no longer just come and go as you please. Actually you can, but if you want a happy home, you won’t. Except you have no kids at all or they choose to drop out of school, you will pay school fees, 3 times a year x number of kids for at least 12 years then 2ce a year for at least 4 years. Before then prepare to pay CRÈCHE fees for a year or more. Prepare also, for child delivery bills. Except you own a house, you will pay rent EVERY year for the rest of your life. No more squatting with friends till you can afford rent when you are broke. You will also remember extended family members on BOTH sides of the family and help out with their challenges when you can. You will pay hospital bills for madam and the kids as and when due. For some weird reason, na we de sick quick quick pass ♂️ Utility bills and food will probably be split between you and madam if she is also an income earner. Same with clothing. I know of many instances where madam bears the general financial brunt too. If either of you is not earning, well, the full financial burden will rest on only one person with the attendant tension it places on the union. NB *For those who want to have ‘AT LEAST’ 4 kids* Stay blessed"

Well, no sensible human being will stay in that area. I pity those that will still remain or return to that area after this DSS "flash in the pan" show. Those people always regroup and return to the camp or even build new camps. Then they go out and kill anyone they label sabo. They control over 5 local govt areas in Imo state including Orlu. They know that DSS, Police or army will not stay there forever. No police station still operates in the 5 LAGs, so the people have no choice than to report cases to these people. There judgements in almost all the cases are deaths for the accused. My greatest worry is that the regular people of the area cannot speak out. Try it and die. They are helpless. Those who can afford it are in exile. |
This is why it is so important to encourage students to register for both WAEC and NECO SSCE including NABTEB where obtainable. The three are equivalent Anyway, WAEC shouldn't just withhold results without offering explanations. |
Ihiala LGA is part of IPOB territory. A Nigerian police officer shouldn't go there to show himself. They mount check points in their territory where they demand and check every traveller's ID card. Well, this might or might not be the case of the missing man. |
I wish Twitter will just ignore these people till after 2023 or even 2027, as the case may be. Silence is the best answer to some code of conduct.. |
Kudos to them. |
15.9999% and so what? Inflation rate in UK has been less than 2% for over 10 years. |
Ovamboland:You made sense, but I have a different idea about it. In the first place, Nigeria does not need to borrow 1 kobo from anybody. None of the infrastructure the govt plans to build is an emergency. So, no Nigerian will die without them. Secondly, every borrower makes himself a slave to the lender. As you said, Nigeria can not raise the money as a result of which they borrow. So, how is Nigeria planning to repay the loans. With the level of insecurity in the country, nobody will invest in the country. How to solve the security situation should be more important than building anything now. The govt should focus on how to make the economy self sustaining and not depend on foreign money. They can start by cutting expenses. There is no better way to show faith in oneself than to do things by oneself, and not depend on others. The problem is that the govt is yet to realise that the country is in trouble. Whether they agree with it / realise it or not, millions of upright citizens of Nigeria are going below the poverty line every day, and this situation is a time bomb. |
Ovamboland:This thread is discussing LOAN not govt INVESTMENT. We all know where previous govt loans landed us. It's only a big fool who thinks that doing the same thing the same way will produce a different result. Every lender sets their terms and conditions. Nigeria is poorer From continuous borrowing because the leaders don't read those conditions. |
The approval simply means more inflation,
more increase in foreign exchange rate,
more suffering for common people,
and
more bandits and kidnappers just because the good Nigerians can't cope anymore. |
Ihiala LGA is the headquarters of IPOB/ECN in Anambra state. It is next door to the now famous Orlu zone in Imo state. So INEC used their brain well when they suspended elections there. Now, the whole 34 thousand police men and army can focus full attention there while they vote. Even at that, i still expect low turn out because most of the original indigenes of the area have already run away from their homes. Neither election nor any other thing can make them return home, unless IPOB and the army stop the war in the area. |
Thank God for the success of the the burial ceremony of the murdered Orlu Anglican priest, Rev. Emeka Mmrerenu earlier today, 2nd November, 2021. May his gentle soul continue to be with God.

Happy birthday fine girl. |
People are being killed in that zone of Imo state every day and they do not make headlines. We are discussing this one because they are high profile people, |
ezenwaez:login details are never one of the problems. Nobody complained about it. The problem is that most of Batches A and B bank accounts have become dormant due to inactivity. Tell CBN to reactivate all the bank accounts with steady payments. |
Satan will not ask for your parents anymore, since you don't value them. He requests for parents of those who value their parents' lives. |
Elsueno:Oh! I have since run to the centre of O'town and i will soon leave South East for good. Bullet no know anybody's name. You have to be alive to be Nigerian or Biafran. |
The govt is under-rating these people. In my area, UGM have taken over. They patrol the streets armed to the teeth in broad daylight intimidating people, even killing sometimes. At times, they patrol in vehicles, at times, on bikes. Sometimes, they cover their faces with masks. They control all the rural areas while govt sit in centre of towns/cities claiming tough. |
It's time to run away from Igbo land, if you have the resources. |
When will Imo state shut down telecom services in some LGAs in the state? People are systematically being murdered daily in cold blood in those areas. Most of these killings don't make news headlines. The state govt should stop celebrating that they "restored" order in the state. Meanwhile, Ndi Imo are being murdered without any justifiable reason. If these victims had run away to Benin Republic or Niger Republic, they will call them refugees, but they will be alive. Their conviction that they will never die in the hands of fellow Igbos has become their own undoing. |
Who killed Rev. Emeka Nmereni? It is still shocking and Frightening. I am yet to see or hear Fulani killing Fulani senselessly, no mater the reason. A common Igbo person now has to consider and choose between Ipob govt and Fulani govt which is better. They say that they are protecting Igbo people, yet we get killed every day. Every Monday, we stay home for fear of the obvious: death, if you venture out. Now, if you sit at home, you are also killed. Rev. Emeka Nmerenini, a school principal, was killed in his home. SSCE is over for his students. I cry. |
When dollar hits N540/$1 earlier today. Everything will still follow it. No amount of banning and unbanning will stop water from finding its level. |
North should collect VAT from cows and herdsmen or maybe from bandits. Afterall, all na business. |
The govt has already taken everything out of reach of ordinary people. Buhari has already sanctioned Nigerians from having access to several necessities of life. Where are they going to sanction again? Is it Security- we don't have. Food- only the very rich eat healthy and according to balanced diet. Cloth- many Nigerians can't remember the last time they bought new cloths. School- reminds us of kidnapping. Gas- people use firewood nowadays. etc Name it. |
That major should turn to Fulani for his own good.
OR
He is on his own. |
Congrats to MTN. Somehow, they try, but there is room for improvement. It is high time they changed phone for me. |
It will seem stupid of Nigeria to extradite its citizen to US. It will be an insult on Nigerian courts and our own FBI (whatever you call them). I mean that we have courts. Even Hushpuppy should be sent over to Nigeria for continuation of his trial. |
Good topic, but UAR is not really a nation. 250 different nations make it up, but they don't want to accept the obvious. At times, I marvel at how people's minds work. In any other continent, the "ethnic groups" would have been countries in their own right, or at least, they would have agreement to stay in the union. |
This is the cost of "one Nigeria" and there no hope that it will stop soon in sight. |
How will Buhari ever know the true situation of things in Nigeria when people like Garba Shehu are the ones around him? For true peace to reign, the whole of Africa, not just Nigeria, should have a conference and change what Europeans did to us at the Berlin Conference in 1884. We should recreate African nations along ethnic lines. What we call ethnic group in Africa is what they call country in Europe. |
Inflation rate is 17% according to Nigerian Bureau of Statistics. Nigerian leaders are trying their best to increase the rate. So, any amount that is good for good living in Nigeria today will not be anything to write home about in the next six months. Even human beings are losing value everyday in Nigeria, not to talk of goods. |
In other words, you brought the present calamity upon Nigerians. |
isn't dat what u guys wanted though?....so what's the big deal, u got to be ruled by ur Biafran heroes, it's cool ryt? or I dey miss something
