I understand you, but let me throw you a scenerio, I am most certain that you believe time is constant, that is,it flows in one direction...Everyone thinks that, atleast 200years ago, Albert Einstein came up with a crazy idea that time can slow down or fasten up, crazy idea but really really true, Evidence supports these but we can never experience this in our everyday life. Now imagine growing up, believing time is linear, and then some dude tells you, no its not, its stretchy...you should find that hard to believe, even hard to comprehend because thats not your world view or what you came to know about reality, but because you see the evidence, you have to believe it...This is not what happens with religion, you have been brought up in a particular faith, you get confronted by someone who has evidence that your view is wrong, but you refuse to believe it because of the deep rooted foundation in your faith... if thats not the height of ignorance, then i dont know what is.

PS: You said your belief is based on truth, i would like to know this truth!!!
you obviously miss the point here. Let me repeat. Listen.

Before I open this thread, I've read many atheists post on faith, atheists explained the christian faith as believing in something without evidence, this definition is unbiblical. biblical faith is trust in God that is reflected in ACTION. When we trust
the Gospel that we are loved,it produces
the fruit of living as loved.
Some say that faith is evidence, but actually a more accurate translation is that faith is confidence. Abraham had faith (confidence) that God, his trustworthy authority, would fulfill his
promises (Genesis 12:1-3), though
Abraham never lived to see their ultimate fulfillment (Hebrews 11:8-13).
Like the heroes of the faith, like our cloud of witnesses, like Jesus,we endure
the temporary and look faithfully forward to the unshakable kingdom (Hebrews 11:39-12:28). “We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2 Cor. 4:18) We trust God will bring about the ultimate fulfillment of his promises; we look forward to our resurrection into Jesus’ eternal kingdom.
Does taking things on authority require blind faith?

The man who told you to have faith, and you did have faith, you believe in what he say because you TRUST HIM with all your MIND, this is NOT blind faith, this is confidence(evidential faith).

But biblical faith does not come naturally, for “the natural man does not
receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Cor. 2:14) . “By faith we UNDERSTAND…” (Hebrews 11:3). What do we understand? How do we understand? By faith, or a trusting spiritual insight? The fact that the bible say we should test every spirit indicate we are to have spiritual insight to UNDERSTAND what we believe.

menesheh:
You are subjecting faith and believe to be a virtue. You can believe anything for good reason or for bad reason. Justifications as you rightly described, (valid evidence and proof in order to justify your holding a believe as truth) are being misinterpreted by supernatural believers as any personal assumed stuffs one can hold on to, to justify an idea as truth in a very strong way.

In your own case of holding jesus and Paul's views very strongly as a justification for believing in Christian teachings as absolute truth without any chance of it being fallible is misleading. Applying faith as you rightly pointed out in your second paragraph is one of the worst reasons and justifications to holding a believe, not even to a certain degree but absolutely.

Even science that is based on methodological naturalism, evidence, consistency, falsification, peer review, skepticism, proof etc are not 100% absolute on their findings and facts, not minding the irrefutable and mountains of evidence supporting such thesis. Let alone your religious views that are base on faith, went so far as holding its tenets as absolute truth without any chance of it being false.

Tell me any provable justifications why one should hold any belief atall on faith. Let's exclude your religion on this list. Just any other believe system.

- Hinduism requires faith, faith requires belief, and belief requires TRUTH

- Muslims requires faith, faith requires belief, and belief requires TRUTH

-Leprechaunians requires faith, faith requires belief, and belief requires TRUTH

- Believiers of Amadioha requires faith, faith requires
belief, and belief requires TRUTH

- Scientology requires faith, faith requires belief, and belief requires TRUTH

Faith is not only meant to believe Christian teachings but almost every thing that lacks evidence and good justifications to believing, even a yahoo yahoo G that wants to swindle you, you can also go ahead and accept his proposals as truth.

We live our daily life by inference and induction but coming to the religion, we have to suspend evaluation and prove, just accept it. No brother, faith is far from being any reliable justification to hold a believe. Even the least irrelevant ideas, faith can't still survive.
sorry for the late reply, I am very busy.

Isaiah 1:18, "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD." The Lord encourages Christians to think
and to reason together. The Bible is full of common sense and wisdom. It has been demonstrated to be correct through practice, time, archeology discoveries, and scientific facts. It is not a leap into the unknown, but a leap based upon common sense and facts.

Of all the religions you mention, which among them put their teaching to a litmus test? Proved what they preach is the truth. God do not just we should believe, He want us to use our mind and be FULLY convinced of what we believe, the bible say faith alone cannot guarantee salvation, why ?because God want us to be sure of what we believe. You are an atheist, right? Let me ask you, is doubt the opposite of faith?

Nice write up mr-op
But the truth is not every body belief things for a reason, more than 70% of those who accept a particular religion are only in it because their predecessor are in it..not that they had the conviction that it is the correct path to follow

And second is reason, and intellectual debate has left the sphere of religion in the sense that whenever something appears inexplicable in our holy book we shun it instead of question it (why question what is from God)

That's why a lot are atheist today,,the clergy men or the so called scholars are only after superstitious aspect of religion(miracles) forgetting that the world has evolved and now a world of intellect "although these miracles still entice those with poor-sight(ignorant) who don't know what religion is actually all about

May be the church should start by provided intellectual answers to the athiest, and also educate its members on the pillars of religion not mere blowing into knots and performance of magic ,,if not the trend will continue ""my people suffer for the lack of knowledge"
alright. Are you a christian ?

Faith is the absence of knowledge. Faith often lead to death of Christians. OP you claimed Atheist often get it wrong, what have they got wrong so far?

Let's assume the winner of a lottery didn't show up to claim his reward, whom do we give it to? The Gorvernment? And even if we do give it to the Government, it is because the winner didn't bother to show up,which also mean we all know someday he might come for it eventually.

Bottom line is, your unknown God is allowed to take credit for creating the light bulb until Tesla shows up to claim his credit wink
I see no sense in your post, what do you mean by "faith lead to the death of christians?" on many occasions, atheists have liken faith as something you have NO knowledge of, but here you are saying different thing. The christian faith is not opposed to reason and knowledge because God invite us to reason together with Him.the fact that every human has freewill and God will not override our choice, mean everyone of us is responsible for our belief. You cannot force your self to believe in lies. innately you know it lie.
Christianity Etc › Faith,belief,reason And Truth. by malvisguy212(op): 9:56am On Nov 13, 2015
Justification is the concept that provides
our belief with the assuredness of its
truth. People believe things for reasons,
which provide the warrant for their belief.Without these reasons, you do not have knowledge of what you believe. If a belief is JUSTIFIED, then we have the right to believe it. Atheists got it wrong, there view was; " since you cannot know something with 100% certainty, you cannot obtain the truth (or knowledge), you just have to believe ,God did it". The bible say otherwise, in Isaiah 1:18 God is calling human to "come and let us REASON together"

This brief journey into obtaining knowledge of what you belief was done in order to show the relationship between FAITH,BELIEF AND TRUTH . Christianity requires faith, faith requires
belief, and belief requires TRUTH.This is not just a mere belief but rather a trust that is characterized as knowledge.

Notice how Paul incorporates all three of these elements in his letter to the
Romans, “if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). You cannot "confess with your mouth" without knowing the truth.

No matter how hard I try, I cannot make myself believe that there is a pink elephant in the room right now. I do not have direct free will over my beliefs, i.e. I can’t make myself believe something. I also cannot just tell people what to believe or exhort them to believe it. But if I don’t have free will over my beliefs, how can the Bible hold me responsible for them? The answer lies in the fact that I do have responsibility as to where I choose to focus my mind. I have free choice in body movements and where to place my attention (what you choose to think about). I have to choose to be preoccupied with something to change my belief or increase my certainty in that belief .Faith in the biblical sense means trust or confidence, confident in what we know to be TRUE. You do not have to be 100% certain in a belief for it to count as knowledge.

The bible say faith alone cannot save , why? because what you have faith in
must be TRUE, Biblical faith is accurate knowledge combined with ACTIVE TRUST Faith and knowledge are not opposed to each other. So Trusting faith alone does NOT save, but instead what is trusted MUST be true.

The faith Jesus had was not an absence of knowledge, but was based upon an intimate knowledge of his Father. We too can gain knowledge to make our faith richer.

Ayomivic:
there are alot of leason to be learnt in the story for young mind.
You did not read that story to learn but to find fault that was the reason you did get message correct
the leason learnt in the story are

1 there is no leader in Isreal at that time, no king ,no body to persecute them for sin comitted, so people does not have someone to fear and the tend to work on their own way committing adultery and fornication even when they knew God is against it. These happen when there is religion Let say their is not religion and no leader to make people follow Gods law how do you think this world will look like?

2 the man thaught there was God fearing in Isreal cities that was the reason he did not stop to rest in Jebusite city which he called strange country unknow to him his country too is as worst as others countries

3 it wasn't the man that took life from his wife but those children of balial. The man cuts the woman parts and send it to each tribes of Israel as message (Aroko) to me the man was in sorrowful heart and he was like how can this evil be in Israel the country that belong to God, when he sent the woman's parts to them. They said "what kind of evil is this, this has never happend since Israel have being in existed" and that prompt them to call on the man to explaine why he sent such message to them.Knowing what happened to the man's wife. The elders stood for judgement and asked the tribe of benjamine to produce those children of balial to deal with them according to law of God. If he did not do what he did that atrocity would countinue in Israel.

4 the tribe of Benjamine refused to produce the criminers and that lead to war that almost wip out the tribe of Benjamine among the twelve tribe of Israel

what i can see about the op is that, he did not see the wickedness of the sons of Belial but he want to know the leason learn from the man that divide his already dead woman. One thing i want the You people to know is that God or religion did not tell the man to cut his wife,so i dont see why people put the blame on God or religio but what the man did wake the elders to combat the evil that was going on in their communities and what happened to the tribe of Benjamine was a leason for any tribe that does not caustion their children of such behavious

for those that said the world would be a better place without God. I dont even know why you think in that way but i am without God, the attitudes of sons of Belial is very small in how wicked the people of world would be thanks to God and to religion without religion or God country like Nigeria can never exsist at all because if our culture is to eat stranger how would stranger tell us it not proper? It was religion that brought the people of diffrent cultures together. The christian in Yoruba, Igbo ,Hausa, Spanish etc have the same belief and that was what save us from enslave each tribe.
excellent my brother. God bless you.

I need evidence from the bible, were God commanded us to believe and don't ask questions.

Skepticism is important to the christian faith, John the baptist who soppose to believe Jesus is the messiah, John still have doubt at some point, that is why he send his disciples to ask Jesus "are you the messiah?"Jesus did not condemned him, instead He performed miracle in their prescence as proof. Thomas ask questions, infact, there was a time all the disciples complained in matthew 18:27. Peter answered him, "We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?" .
The bible advice us to test every Spirit and see if they are from God.

It is mind blowing that Christians cannot see how their beloved, pathetic, human degrading religions is fading away. The Christian religion over the years put Ideology over the people, while Humanism have always put the people over Ideology. Christianity and Humanism cannot be fit together despite several tries, despite transplanting lots of good Humanist morals into Christianity. It is exactly like Islam, which happened to have created of one the most retarded humans on the plant(72 virgins in Allah's heaven??) Islam is not really worth mentioning.

A closer look at Christianity. This religion was famously created by the Catholic church. It is power based cult meant to empower the rich and powerful against the poor. An authoritarian secret society that echoes mass abuse of power. Well some people can say..."I'm Baptist or Deeperlife and other protesters who left the Catholic church",but the ideology remains the same, which is to RULE over the poor, take their money in the name of a God,decide how they live their lives and kill or condemn those who oppose them. Oyedepo is typical example of how this evil cult works.

Obviously someone like Kumuyi crafted his own idea but built the structure of his church exactly like the Catholics. He takes lots of money from the poor,he decides how they dress, marry, have sex, what they watch, how often they go to church....and here we have another student of the Roman catholic doing exactly what the Pope does, which is to RULE.

African slavery was justified by Christian Ideology, the Spanish Inquisition was justified by Christian Ideology, witch burning, book burning, genocides(of which majorities were hidden).

Despite the fact that the Roman Catholics rewrote their bible many times, protestants edited their own version to keep up with modern time which gave rise to different sects like the Mormons,Jehovah witness,Deeperlife all which have different ideologies crafted to fit their aims, they all are finding it difficult to keep up as they are not really sticking together.

Presently, only 3 in 10 youth really care about going to church. 5 in 10 only attend the church on Christmas and Easter ceremonies. This goes a long way to show that in 20 years many churches would have become recreational centers, the Vatican however much they try would probably become a museum. Example,in the UK many cathedrals have been converted to primary schools. In my area the only church you will find is a small black church. This black church cannot even be noticed. You can only tell with a small poster on their mail box cry.

I personally think the gradual demise of one the most powerful cults in the world that have abused power is a call for celebration

Cheers grin
yes, Christianity will go , and you will be left together with the muslims. Just emerging world , atheists, boko haram, isis, alqaida etc. Can you tell boko haram ,isis. You don't believe in God? Who born you?

This where ignorance goes full re.tard.

Here is a guy, pretending that atheism is a competing religion, and then he goes to use Darwin and Darwin's family to make his twisted logic.

The only thing he forgot is that Darwin was never an atheist, talkess of promoting it.
Darwin only discovered certain biological facts previously unknown in his era.
His discoveries and the theories he propounded have withstood 150yrs of rigorous scientific testing, and form the basis of modern biology and genetic sciences.

Secondly, again waxing ignorant , malvisguy212 states that certain (unnamed) European nobles were trying to practice eugenics.

Again, by selective amnesia, he forgot that the said unamed nobles were not atheists, but devout Christians.

Mysteriously, atheism gets the blame.

It seems, like Satan, atheism is the new fall guy for everything that is wrong in Christendom.
darwin was never an atheist? Alright.

In Darwin’s time there was an idea
among the nobility that their genetics
were superior to those of the rest of
society. Many families including Darwin’s
took this belief to extreme levels by
practicing incest as a tradition.
They thought that if adolescents were to
marry within their own family then not
only would all the wealth stay in the
family, but the “good” genes would also.
This also ensured that the family
fortunes would be retained for many
future generations. This practice is very
common in aristocratic families, which
explains why they are all extremely
mentally unstable. Darwin came from a
very classist and racist elite level of
society and that is reflected in his work,
especially “The Descent of Man”.
One of the most famous cases of royal
incest is found in the Hapsburg dynasty
that produced rulers in Spain, Austria,
Hungary, Belgium, the Netherlands and
the German empire. Around 1700 the
Spanish branch of this empire fell apart
suddenly and died off.
Recent studies of the Hapsburg Family
Tree show that sickness and deformity
due to incest was responsible for the
sudden demise of this “royal bloodline”.
The most successful political dynasty in
America, the Bush family is notorious for
inbreeding.
In fact, George Bush Sr. and his wife
Barbara Bush are actually in the same
bloodline, which is the Pierce or Percy
bloodline. The British house of this
bloodline is named Percy and the
American house is named Pierce. The
elite’s family structures are very
complicated with many “houses” and
surnames that are omitted from the
public dialogue to avoid scrutiny and
cover up their ongoing eugenics
experiments.
I am only singling out the Bush family
because it’s an example that those of you
in the west will recognize, but in
countries all over the world, in every
continent there are elitists and monarchs
who hold this world view.
The ruling class of every nation is
obsessed with breeding and is using the
best of our advanced technology and
medical science to guarantee that their
heirs will be somehow thoroughbred.
Since the aristocracy has been practicing
selective breeding for centuries they are
under the impression that they are
already of a superior stock to the rest of
humanity, thanks to the “care” that their
ancestors took in breeding. This is of
course just an egotistical delusion that
justifies their exploitative treatment
towards the rest of humanity.
Darwin’s other dehumanizing ideology is
his “survival of the fittest” mantra.
Darwin didn’t just come up with this
philosophy out of thin air, this was
actually an idea that has been
traditionally held by families of nobility
since before the Middle Ages. It was this
philosophy that the aristocracy used to
justify their inhumane treatment of the
serfs and peons that built their empires
and tended to their fields.
The saying “survival of the fittest” was
actually coined by an aristocrat named
Thomas Robert Malthus who was openly
brutal and inhumane in his descriptions
of the poor or as he called them “the
lower races”.
In a 1798 publication called “An Essay on
the Principle of Population” Malthus
suggested that planned food shortages
could be used to decrease the
population of the poor through
starvation. This was the root for the idea
of “population control”, because a large
population is very difficult for the elite to
manage while retaining their own wealth
and power. Malthus suggested that the
streets should be made narrower and
more people should be crowded into
living quarters to encourage conditions
that would bring back the plague. In that
same essay he said that villages should
be built next to stagnant pools where
germs could fester and all remedies and
cures would only be available to those
who could afford it.
In his own words
“we are bound in justice and honor
formally to disclaim the right of the poor
to support. To this end, I should propose
a regulation be made declaring that no
child born should ever be entitled to
parish assistance. This infant is
comparatively speaking, of little value to
society , as others will immediately
supply its place…All children beyond
what would be required to keep up the
population to this level must perish,
unless room be made for them by the
deaths of grown persons.” [1]

If you know who you are discussing with you will not ask me to go back and read the bible. If you have sincerely read the quran with open mind, their are a lot of questions you need to ask your self concerning how muhammed leave his life, will you give your beautiful daughter to an old man to marry? Will you dump your husband and marry his father (adopted)? Muhammed set rules which himself did not obey.

Concerning the first muslims, let us review the verse .

Surah 6. Al-An'am, Ayah 163 Al-Qur'an

Pickthall
He hath no partner. This am I
commanded, and I am first of those who surrender (unto Him).

Muhammed was not saying he is the first muslims among his people, BUT he was saying " I am the first of those who SURROUNDER (UNTO HIM)" dint the quran indicate Abraham surrounded to Allah ? If Abraham surrender to allah , then muhammed is not the first to surrender to him.
This is the verse for Abraham
SAHIH INTERNATIONAL
Abraham was neither a Jew nor a
Christian, but he was one inclining
toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to
Allah ]. And he was not of the polytheists.

The name Abraham was a Jews, how can none Jews bear the name of a Jew?in Surah 3:63 Abraham was not saying he is the first muslims among his people, he was not even the one talking in surah 3:63. Besides the genealogy of adam and Abraham indicate they were from the same tribe, it is illogical for Abraham to say he is the first to surrender when adam is the first.

The same thing applies here. The Christian's life is one built in consistency with that of Christ as established in the new Testament and not the life of Jews in the old testament. For you to be truly spreading or working for Christianity you must be operating on this line.

We need then a direct command in the new life, Christian, in the new testament, promoting mayhem to claim that Christianity is in tandem with the actions of these men.
God bless you my good friend.

^^^ The Qur’an states Muhammad was the first Muslim. ( Surah 6:163). However,it also that Abraham who lived centuries before Muhammad was a Muslim. ( Surah 3:67). And The Qur’an states that the disciples of Jesus who lived before Muhammad were also Muslims. ( Surah 5:111). In fact, the Qur’an claims that all prophets, from the time of Abraham to Muhammad were Muslims. (Surah 22:78)

QUESTION :
Since the Qur’an states that Muhammad was the first Muslim, while at the same time declaring that there were Muslims before the time of Muhammad, is this not a clear proof of the existence of a contradiction in the Qur’an?
How are you going to reconcile the
Qur’an’s claim that Muhammad was the
first Muslim with the Qur’an’s statement that Abraham who lived before him was also a Muslim?
How are you going to reconcile the
Qur’an’s claim that Muhammad was the
first Muslim with the Qur’an’s statement that the disciples of Jesus who lived before him were Muslims?
Do you not agree that if Abraham was
truly a Muslim as the Qur’an claims,
then Muhammad cannot be the first
Muslim?
Do you not agree that if the disciples of
Jesus were truly Muslims as the Qur’an
claims, then Muhammad cannot be the
first Muslim?

Muslims follow the Religion OF Jesus; the faith that he spoke of and practiced. Likewise, We worship The same God that he worshipped; The God of Abraham and The God of all of the Prophets whom lived on Earth.

Whereas today some people who claim to follow the way of Jesus, Abraham, and Moses (peace be upon them) have deviated from the path. And in the case of Christianity, people have mistakenly created an entire faith about the Prophet Jesus and thus have made him into something that he never claimed to be.

"Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but an upright Muslim (one who submitted their will to God)." – Qur’an English Translation [3:67]
the pagan worship with their head bow , are they muslims also? If Abraham is not a Jew, why was he given a Jewish name ?

Allah sanctioned pagan practice.

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 60,
Number 23:
Narrated By ‘Asim bin Sulaiman: I
asked Anas bin Malik about Safa and
Marwa (i.e. two mountains at Mecca).
Anas replied, “We used to consider
(i.e. going around) them a custom
of the Pre-Islamic period of
Ignorance, so when Islam came, we
gave up going around them. Then
Allah revealed, ‘Verily, Safa and
Marwa (i.e. two mountains at
Mecca) ARE AMONG THE SYMBOL OF ALLAH . So it is not harmful of those
who perform the Hajj of the House
(of Allah) or perform the Umra to
ambulate (Tawaf) between
them.’” ( Surah 2:158) [End of Quote]

Surah 2:158: “Lo! (the mountains) As-
Safa and Al-Marwah are among the
indications of Allah. It is therefore no
sin for him who is on pilgrimage to
the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to
go around them ( as the pagan
custom is).” (Pickthall)

How can the very same two mountains
that were sacred to the pagans become
the “Symbols of Allah” all of a sudden?
Moreover, how is it that the very same
pagan ritual of running between the two
hills is also retained in Islam? In
addition, why was the Arab pagan ritual
of going around the Ka’ba seven times,
also retained in Islam?

In the Hindu marriage rite of Saptapadi,
the married couple circumnavigate the
fire seven times. In the Islamic ritual of
Tawaf, Muslims also circumnavigate the
Ka’ba seven times. In both of these
rituals, religious phrases are repeated
during the circumambulation. Some of
the rituals that Muslims follow during the Hajj are the same as the rites observed by Hindus in their worship of Shiva. Take note of some of the striking similarities:

(1) Both Hindu and Muslim male
devotees are required to shave their
heads during their pilgrimage.
(2) And similar to their Hindu
counterparts, male Muslim pilgrims are
also required to dress in a garment
consisting of two sheets of white cloth.
This type of garment is known as Dhoti in Hinduism.
(3) Just as the worshippers of Shiva
observe a rite in which they walk around their object of reverence seven times, Muslim pilgrims also walk around the Ka’ba seven times.
(4) Both their objects of reverence are
Black Stones. In Hinduism, the Black
Stone is known as Shiva lingam.
(5) While Hindus drink water from the
Ganga River as part of the sacred rites in their worship of Shiva, Muslims drink
from the Well of Zamzam during the
Hajj.
(6) Additionally, the Crescent moon,
which is associated with the Hindu deity
Shiva, is also a symbol for Islam. In the
Hindu portrayal of the Shiva symbol, the crescent moon is always painted across his forehead. Moreover, in every
portrayal of Shiva, there is always a
depiction of a snake curled around his
neck. Weirdly, in pre-Islamic times, Allah is supposed to have sent a snake to guard the treasures of the Ka’ba.

There is a type of marriage in Islam that
is known as “Nikah Mut’a (Mut’ah)” or
Temporary Marriage. Fixed-Term Marriage, Temporary Marriage or
Pleasure Marriage are different names
for the Arabic term, Nikah Mut’a. This
form of marriage is based on a contract
between a man and woman with a fixed
date of expiry. The man and woman will
become strangers to each other after the expiration date. Its format is that the
woman says the following to the man
after they both agree to the terms of the
dower and the period of time: “I married you to myself on such-and-such a dower and for the known period of
time” – where this period is stated exactly. The man’s answer will be: “I
accept.” The dower can be in the form of money or something else. According to the terms of the contract, the woman
becomes the wife of the man, and the
man becomes her husband till the end of the period specified in the contract.
Mut’a can be contracted for a night or a
few days, months or years or even for a
few hours. As soon as the period is over,
the marriage is automatically terminated. Then, the Muslim man could leave her without any further commitments. No divorce is necessary to terminate the marriage.

Did you know more than Jesus Christ (peace be upon him)?
did't he (peace be upon him) said that "17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven". Matthew 5:17-19King James Version (KJV)
alright, what is Jesus fullfiling in the law and the prophet ? Jesus did not come to destroy the law and the prophets, but to
fulfill their prophecy. The old covenant were made for our ancestor as Jeremiah indicate "IT WILL NOT BE LIKE THE COVENANT
I MADE WITH THEIR ANCESTORS" meaning the new covenant SUPERSEDE the old one. What causes murder and adultery? Is it not anger and lust ?instead of "thou shall not kill" Jesus demanded that we should not even hate our brother. Instead of "thou shall not commit adultery" Jesus demanded that we should not even lust over women. Jesus challenge us to love God and our fellow human, if you love God you will not worship other gods. If you love your neighbor you will not murder him or lust over his wife.

Certain externals in the ten commandments are not included in the New Covenant. A Christian has not been told, for example, that he may not make a statue;he has been told not to worship
idols. According to the ten commandments, however, one may not even make a statue. Nor is the Sabbath command applicable under the New
Covenant:
Colossians 2:16, 17
“So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new
moon or sabbaths, which are a SHADOW of things to come, but the substance is of
Christ”

We are not under the law of Moses, This is stated many times in the New Testament.
Romans 6:14, 15
“For sin shall not have dominion over
you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!” .
Romans 7:4
“Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another - to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God”
Romans 7:6
“But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the
newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter”
Romans 8:2
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law
of sin and death”
Romans 10:4
“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes”
Galatians 3:24, 25
“Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor”
Galatians 5:18
“But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law” .
Ephesians 2:14, 15
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained
in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making
peace”
