Let me just use the term AGNOSTIC. From her post above she is just an Agnostic.

Reading all through her write up here equates Agnosticism.

Agnosticism = Boundary line belief of god existence; Dont want to fall in any side of the divides; they believe there is much more than we know; they believe no one can know exactly.
Alright.

MizMyColi this is very funny, do you relate to this God father daughter relationship? How much do you know Him? I found this statement more of a "christian".'It doesn't matter what you
believe,' is the despairing cry of people whose beliefs have never brought them to spiritual reality. Find people who claim that sincerity is all that matters
and try applying that logic to something they are passionate about, Suddenly it
matters very much what you believe.

You and I are not in a position to claim to know more about spiritual reality than the greatest religious teacher earth has seen- Jesus. He upheld the Scriptures which insist that all other religions offend God. Jesus fills the unfillable. hole within us. He makes us
whole. He meets our deepest needs. He alone releases our full potential.

To sit on the fence is a
marvelous position. From the
top of the fence you can look in
any direction and watch life
pass you by. Thank you.

JESUS CLAIMED TO BE GOD
Some skeptics say that Jesus and God
were "one in purpose." However, this is a rather weak claim. Every disciple of Jesus Christ has the goal of being "one in purpose" with God the Father. Even so, Jesus never used the word "purpose" in His claims of oneness with God.

"I and the Father are one." The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus
answered them, "I showed you many
good works from the Father; for which of
them are you stoning Me?" The Jews
answered Him, "For a good work we do
not stone You, but for blasphemy; and
because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God." ( John 10:30-33)

Obviously, the Jews did not think that
this claim of being one with the Father
referred to purpose. They knew that He
was claiming equality with God, which is
why they tried to stone Him.In addition,
Jesus said outright that He was Lord
and claimed to be the first and the last, an obvious trait reserved for God alone.

JESUS AcCEPT THE TITLE GOD.
Not only did Jesus claim the attributes of God, but He even accepted the title
"God." Thomas, the ever-skeptical
disciple, was unconvinced that Jesus had risen from the dead and wanted to see direct proof. However, when the Lord Jesus appeared to him, his only reaction was "My Lord and my God!"
Thomas answered and said to Him, "My
Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him,
"Because you have seen Me, have you
believed? Blessed are they who did not
see, and yet believed." ( John 20:28-29)

What was Jesus' reaction to the title of
God? Did Jesus rebuke him for calling
Him "God"? No! In fact, Jesus praised
Thomas for his belief. And the belief that Thomas exhibited was that Jesus was Lord and God. If Jesus were not God, accepting such a statement for truth would be a grievous sin. Either Jesus is God or He would have to be a sinner!
Christianity Etc › Re: Reasons Why Jesus Is Not God! by malvisguy212: 5:02pm On Nov 25, 2015
Jesus claimed to have many of the attributes that God alone possesses. Jesus claimed to have sent the prophets:
"Therefore, behold, I am sending you prophets and wise men and scribes; some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city, ( Matthew 23:34)
However, the Old Testament indicates that God sent the prophets. Therefore, Jesus was claiming the authority that was previously reserved only for God.
Jesus claimed that His origins are from heaven, whereas men are from the world:
"And no one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven, even the Son of Man. ( John 3:13)
Jesus claimed that His origins are from heaven, whereas men are from the world: "And no one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven, even the Son of Man. ( John 3:13)
And He was saying to them, "You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world. ( John 8:23)
Not only did Jesus claim to come from heaven, but He said that it was "my kingdom" Isn't heaven God's kingdom?
that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. ( Luke 22:30)
Jesus claimed to have existed before He was born in Bethlehem:
"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!" At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.( John 8:58-59)
The claim included the term "I am" - a reference God made of Himself when talking to Moses.17 The Jews immediately recognized that Jesus was claiming to be God and attempted to stone Him.
Jesus also claimed to have existed "before the world began":
"And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began." ( John 17:5)
This statement is an obvious claim to deity. Not only did Jesus claim to exist before the creation of the universe, but He claimed to share the glory of God!
Jesus also claimed that He had "all authority... in heaven and on earth" and that everything of God was His.
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth." (Matthew 28:18)
Jesus claimed to be the supreme judge who will exercise all judgment.
However, there are at least 50 verses in the Bible that claim that Jehovah God will judge the earth (see Who Will Judge Mankind?). Jesus claimed to be the one to separate the "sheep from the goats". However, the book of Ezekiel says that Jehovah God will do this.

Rape is one of the most heinous crimes imaginable. Yet few people know that the Bible often condones and even approves of rape. How anyone can get their moral guidance from a book that allows rape escapes me. Perhaps they have been lied to about the Bible and carefully detoured around all the nasty stuff in the Bible.
So grab your Bibles and follow along as I show you all the nasty rapes that your priests and preachers don't want to tell you about. Note that in many places in the Bible there are references to "taking a wife". Don't be fooled into thinking that these were voluntary marriages. This first quote clearly shows that murder and force were used to "take" these wives.
1) Murder, rape, and pillage at Jabesh-gilead
(Judges 21:10-24 NLT)
So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. "This is what you are to do," they said. "Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin." Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan.
The Israelite assembly sent a peace delegation to the little remnant of Benjamin who were living at the rock of Rimmon. Then the men of Benjamin returned to their homes, and the four hundred women of Jabesh-gilead who were spared were given to them as wives. But there were not enough women for all of them. The people felt sorry for Benjamin because the LORD had left this gap in the tribes of Israel. So the Israelite leaders asked, "How can we find wives for the few who remain, since all the women of the tribe of Benjamin are dead? There must be heirs for the survivors so that an entire tribe of Israel will not be lost forever. But we cannot give them our own daughters in marriage because we have sworn with a solemn oath that anyone who does this will fall under God's curse."
Then they thought of the annual festival of the LORD held in Shiloh, between Lebonah and Bethel, along the east side of the road that goes from Bethel to Shechem. They told the men of Benjamin who still needed wives, "Go and hide in the vineyards. When the women of Shiloh come out for their dances, rush out from the vineyards, and each of you can take one of them home to be your wife! And when their fathers and brothers come to us in protest, we will tell them, 'Please be understanding. Let them have your daughters, for we didn't find enough wives for them when we destroyed Jabesh-gilead. And you are not guilty of breaking the vow since you did not give your daughters in marriage to them.'" So the men of Benjamin did as they were told. They kidnapped the women who took part in the celebration and carried them off to the land of their own inheritance. Then they rebuilt their towns and lived in them. So the assembly of Israel departed by tribes and families, and they returned to their own homes.
Obviously these women were repeatedly raped. These sick bastards killed and raped an entire town and then wanted more virgins, so they hid beside the road to kidnap and rape some more. How can anyone see this as anything but evil?
2) Murder, rape and pillage of the Midianites
(Numbers 31:7-18 NLT)
They attacked Midian just as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed all the men. All five of the Midianite kings – Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba – died in the battle. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword. Then the Israelite army captured the Midianite women and children and seized their cattle and flocks and all their wealth as plunder. They burned all the towns and villages where the Midianites had lived. After they had gathered the plunder and captives, both people and animals, they brought them all to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and to the whole community of Israel, which was camped on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho.
Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the people went to meet them outside the camp. But Moses was furious with all the military commanders who had returned from the battle. "Why have you let all the women live?" he demanded. "These are the very ones who followed Balaam's advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the LORD at Mount Peor. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD's people. Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.
Clearly Moses and God approves of rape of virgins.
frosbel ask this question before and I answered it.

in number 31. the Midianites were
descendants of Abraham through
Keturah, and by the time of Numbers 31,were a ‘tribal league’ of different clans and families. The midianites were
corrupted and they are seducing isreal to worship others gods:
Numbers 25:1-3
1 While Israel was staying in Shittim, the
men began to indulge in se*xual
immorality with MOABITE WOMEN,2 who invited them to the sacrifices to their gods. The people ate and bowed down before these gods. 3 So ISREAL JOINED IN WORSHIPPING the Baal of Peor. And the LORD's anger burned against them.

You see, the isrealite were having
se*xual intercourse with the moabite
women ,and this women are baal
worshippers , because God had promise
an everlasting covenant with Abraham,
so he want to preserve the midianites ,
hence He save the virgin, infacte this
virgin had to wait outside isreal for
purification:

Number31:19
19 And all of you who have killed anyone or touched a dead body must stay outside the camp for seven days. You must PURIFY YOURSELVES and your
CAPTIVES on the third and seventh days.

And in number 25:17-18. It state why
God oder the killing:
The LORD said to Moses, 17 “Treat the
Midianites as enemies and kill them, 18
because they treated you as enemies
when they deceived you in the affair of
Peor and their sister Cozbi, the daughter of a Midianite leader, the woman who was killed when the plague came as a result of Peor.”

The reasons are stated in this passage as:
(1)hostilities taken by the Midianites; and
(2) deception of Israel by them, in the
‘affair of Peor’. So God preserve the
virgins so that the midianites will not be
wipe out, for they are among the
descendant of Abraham.

Christianity Etc › 4 Ways ISIS Roots Its Actions In Religion by malvisguy212(op): 8:29am On Nov 25, 2015
The Islamic State group has claimed
responsibility for the Paris attacks,
labeling them the "first of the storm." The
terrorist group affirmed, in a statement
issued in Arabic, French and English, that
it chose the targets "accurately,"
identifying Paris as the "capital of
prostitution" and France, because of its
participation in the war against ISIS, as
the Crusader.
This tragedy took 129 lives so far, with
more than 300 wounded. There are four
critical observations on the ISIS-issued
statement, and one general conclusion.
1. ISIS BASED ITS ACTION ON A LITERAL READING OF THE QURAN:
The statement begins with the Islamic
basil: "In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, and the Most Merciful." This phrase is found in the beginning of all the chapters of the Quran, except onerous applies a specific literal reading of the Quran. It views itself as truly Islamic and claims its actions are supported by the Quran. Contrary to common wisdom, ISIS maintains that the Paris attacks reflect the compassion and mercy of Allah through the destruction of French infidels. In fact, the statement begins and ends with the Quran: The attacks are a fulfilment of the Quran in
which Allah himself expelled the unfaithful infidels or unbelievers of ahl
al-kitab (Jews and Christians) from their
homes, and a manifestation of the Quran, in which Allah himself will surely
expel the abased from the city.
2. FOR ISIS FOLLOWERS, FRANCE IS AT WAR WITH ISLAM:
The statement portrays France (and its
allies) as Crusaders, literally "the holders of the Cross," portraying the war in purely religious terms. For ISIS, according to the issued statement, France did not wage war against the Islamic State, but rather against Islam itself. France is one of the leaders of "the Crusader campaign," which cursed Muhammad, and struck "Muslims in the land of the Caliphate."
3. THE ATTACK WERE MEANT TO IMITATE
SEVENTH -CENTURY RAIDS LED BY THE
PROPHET MUHAMMED:
The statement identified the Paris attacks using the Arabic term "ghazwa." This term is primarily used in the biography of Muhammad to refer to his raids and expeditions against the non-Muslims in the Arabian Peninsula in the seventh century. By using this unique Arabic term, ISIS signifies its claimed noble religious cause, imitating the military campaigns in the earliest Islamic period. This use of sacred terms addresses devout Muslims who know the history and the life of their prophet in its original text. They identified the attacks as a successful ghazwa, emphasizing that Allah is the one who "facilitated the reasons for its success."
4. THE TERRORIST VIEW THEMSELVES AS MARTYRS FOR ISLAM:
The Islamic State's statement refers to
the attackers as martyrs for the sake of
Islam, identifying them as young men
who "divorced the worldly life" to die in
the path of Allah and for his cause. They
died, the statement said, to support the
cause of the true religion and in
fulfillment of the charges of the Prophet
Muhammad to humiliate enemies,
rubbing "their noses in the dusty ground."

One cannot erase the effects of such
horrible attacks executed under the
banner of religion. To claim that all
Muslims are terrorists is far from correct
but to deny or underestimate the significant power and influence of some
Islamic texts and specific interpretations
of them is not prudent, either.

To suggest that this is the true Islam and that these attacks reveal the true face of Islam would also be wrong, as Islam is far from monolithic and there are plenty of Muslims who sincerely condemn such atrocities.

To adopt a politically correct discourse
and suggest these attacks had nothing to do with religion and that Islam is the
religion of peace (as if other religions are not?) would be also naive and inaccurate. Religious texts in the hands of religious exegetes can be lethal. One can avoid or ignore the reality of the Islamic reasoning and interpretation of ISIS, but we all will be affected by such avoidance and ignorance.

In grieving and mourning those killed in
the Paris attacks, Christians must not let
hatred against Muslims dwell in their
hearts. They must not perceive all
Muslims as terrorists. Instead, we must
pray for France and its people. She will
never be the same.

Jesus never said that.
Matthew 15:18-20
18 But the things that come out of the
mouth come from the heart, and these
make a man unclean. 19 For out of the
heart come evil thoughts, murder,
adultery,SEXUAL IMMORALITY,theft, false testimony, slander. 20 These are what make a man unclean; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him unclean.

We have to realize that sexual immorality is a category of sin that includes all sexual sin. A man who had intercourse with another man understand, what he did was "SEXUAL IMMORALITY". The old testament law link this TWO kind of sex together:

Leviticus 18:22
You shall not lie with a male as with a
woman; it is an abomination.

The phrase "sexual immortality" is the best word to interprete this sins in Liviticus 18:22. Sexual immorality represents ALL kind of sexual sin and Jesus strongly warn against it.

Furthermore,The word translated as sexual immorality is Porneia. This word means: illicit sexual intercourse
adultery, fornication, homosexuality,
lesbianism, intercourse with animals etc. So yes, Jesus warn against All kind of sexual sin in fact masturbation fell in the category of porneia.

What God predestined is our character and not our identity, this is God plan before the world began, for God to fulfill His prophecies, He must predestine history to a certain degree. The Bible clearly indicates that God predestined
redemptive history, specifically, the coming of the Messiah. Jesus clearly indicated that His coming was planned, including His death:

But He said to them, "I must preach the
kingdom of God to the other cities also,
for I was sent for this PURPOSE." ( Luke
4:43)

The Bible indicates that God's role in
redemptive history extends beyond the
Messiah to God's role in the redemption
of Israel. Isaiah claim that God used foreign rulers to alter history and free the Jews from Babylonian captivity:

Isaiah 46:10-11
Declaring the end from the beginning
And from ancient times things which
have not been done, Saying, 'My
purpose will be established, And I will
accomplish all My good pleasure';
Calling a bird of prey from the east, The
man of My purpose from a far country.
Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it
to pass. I HAVE PLANNED IT ,SURLY I WILL DO IT .

Man have freewill to make his choice, man is in control of his will . There are many verses that specifically state that people have free will to execute their own choices. In the book of Deuteronomy, God Himself tells the
people to choose to follow Him to receive His blessings:

Deuteronomy 30:19
"I call heaven and earth to witness
against you today, that I have set
before you life and death, the
blessing and the curse. So choose life
in order that you may live, you and
your descendants,

God ominipotent doesent mean God will pretend everything is okay when it isn't. God was only sorry that man was only thinking of committing more evil.

lol what a hypocrite... so you're now rejecting a part of your bible cos it doesn't suit you? what matters is those things happened ... killing of unarmed women and kids... and your beloved god gave the go ahead
yes, the old testament is part of the bible but it doesent mean ALL the law in it apply to christian, the New Covenant SUPERSEDE and REPLACE the Old Covenant. Christians are only advice to learn from the old testament:

Romans 15:4
“For whatever things were WRITING
BEFORE were written for our LEARNING
that we through the patience and
comfort of the Scriptures might have
HOPE”

God has already given us A New covenant and command us to follow . Here what God say in Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 31:31-34
31“The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “WHEN I WILL MAKE A NEW COVENANT WITH THE PEOPLE OF ISREAL
and with the people of Judah. 32 It will NOT BE LIKE THE COVENANT I MADE WITH THEIR ANCESTORS when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to[ a] them,[b]” declares the Lord. 33“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,”declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.34No longer will they teach their neighbor,or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest,”
declares the Lord.“FOR I WILL FORGIVE THEIR WICKEDNESS AND WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE .”

Now All the old testament verses you provide are talking about people who disobey God ,God love required justice so God deal with them accordingly, but in the book of Jeremiah God say “FOR I WILL FORGIVE THEIR WICKEDNESS AND WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE .” indicating God will have mercy and "FORGIVE THEIR WICKEDNESS" no more only if they ask for forgiveness.

This new covenant was fullfiled in the
new testament. The ten commandments no longer apply as law because in the doctrine of Christ they are completely superseded. In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus demands much more of us than the ten commandments. He not only forbids murder and adultery, but also the CAUSE, hate and lust. We are to love God with ALL OUR MIND,if you love God you will keep His commandments, so the key word is LOVE. No wonder Jesus give the TWO great commandments involving love God and your fellow human. So, love for God
and fellowman, not just because there is a command: “You shall not kill”.
Hope you understand now?

Jesus, reflect carefully on what the Qur’an itself reveals about it in the
following verse. Ponder how well Jesus
must have guided his followers and
continues to guide them through the
teachings of the Holy Bible.

Surah 3:55: Behold! God said: “O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee of the falsehoods of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee SUPERIOR to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection .” (Yusuf Ali,)

Those who follow Jesus are Christians. Muslims considered muhammed as Allah greatest prophet, why dint he make those who follow muhammed greatest instead of Jesus? And the Qur’an states very clearly that they will be made superior until “the Day of Resurrection.” The Day of Resurrection or Qiyamah will occur at the time of the end. This means that, according to the Qur’an, even at this very moment true Christians are in an exulted position as far their worship is concerned. If Christians are made superior until the Day of Resurrection as the Qur’an itself testifies, where do you think will be their final destination?

If this story is true. People loves darkness rather than life, this people chose death instead of life:

Surah 39:30: “Lo! thou wilt die, and
lo! they will die.” (Pickthall)

Contrast the above statement with the
assurance that Jesus Christ gave to his
true followers:

John 14:19: “Because I live, you will
live also.”

The difference between Jesus and
Muhammad is as the difference between LIFE AND DEATH.And this gives us a compelling reason to reject Islam.

OPEN LATTER TO SINCERE MUSLIM
If you strongly believe that Muhammad
can guide you to gain eternal salvation,
please consider the following confessions of Muhammad in the Qur’an:

Surah 46:9: “Say: I am not the first of
the apostles, and I do not know
what will be done with me or with
you: I do not follow anything but that
which is revealed to me, and I am
nothing but a plain warner.” (Shakir)

Surah 6:50: (Muhammad), tell them,
“I do not claim to have all the
treasures of God in my hands, nor to
know the unseen, nor do I claim to
be an angel. I follow only what is
revealed to me (from God).” Say to
them, “Are the blind and the seeing
equal?” Why then do you not think?
(Sarwar)

Surah 7:188: Say: “I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah wills. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I should have multiplied all good, and no evil could have touched me: I am only a Warner, and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have Faith (in Allah).”

Surah 72:21 is even more damaging
regarding your prospect of gaining
salvation through this man whom you
believe to be a prophet of God. Given
below are two translations of this verse.

Surah 72:21: Say, “I possess no power to harm you, nor to guide you.” (Khalifa)

Do you really understand the gravity of
Muhammad’s statement when he said, “I possess no power to guide you” or “to
bring you to the Right Path”? Is it not a
prophet’s duty to guide the congregation of God to the “Right Path”? Can you now depend on this man to guide you to salvation? Would it be wise for you to do so?

The truth shall set you free.600 years later someone came with a contradicted message, why will Allah waited soo long before sending muhammed to contradicte the bible? Does that mean the Jews have been following a false doctrine? Before 600 years , most of this Jews would've died before muhammed came, who will be healed responsible for their unbelief ? Offcorse is Allah who make them to believe Jesus was crucified.

Surah 4:157: And their saying: Surely
we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of
Marium, the messenger of Allah; and
they did not kill him nor did they
crucify him, BUT IT APPEARED TO THEM SO (LIKE ISA) and most surely those
who differ therein are only in a DOUBT
about it; they have no knowledge
respecting it, but only follow a
conjecture, and they killed him not
for sure. (Shakir)

So allah waited for 600 years before reveal this to muhammed? And he clear their doubt? Indeed muhammed is a false prophet, the devil is a liar!!

Christian theologian have argued that Jehovah is not a personal being.

Well impersonal god has nothing to do with Jehovah. Brahman is a good example of impersonal god. Whole jehovah is personal (though some theologian negates this)
alright.

mahdino. yes , people who claim to be christians kill and commit terror, BUT this is contrary to what Jesus preach, Jesus even challenge us to Love not only our neighbors, but our enemy also, Jesus live up to what he preach and command us to follow His footsteps. acting contrary to this is not Christianity.
But muhammed on the other hand, fought war and he huge his followers to follow his footsteps. Muhammed did not live up to what he preach, he even advice his followers to be ash to unbelievers. Uptil today muslims followed his footsteps.

I don't believe God is impersonal. The secret attraction of this presumption is that it is easier to ignore a force than a God who thinks and feels and judges. If we can feel and love, our Maker can do all that and more. If God seems impersonal,it suggests not the shallowness of God's nature, but the
shallowness of our relationship with him. God is warm. His standards are granite. His heart is soft.

This thread is for people who want to be able to open their Bibles and be able to comprehend what is written therein. It is not very easy to understand the prophets because they did not speak plainly, they spoke most times figuratively. Your literal Bibles are all fake.

I am showing the people who are interested in the Bible how to read it and understand it.

I am only here to provide guidance and help to the willing and ready.

You want to understand God's mind more? Those rules are for you.

You are satisfied with what you know? Just move on.
alright, carefu what you interpret, it may lead to confusion.

Freegift75:
Does God really exist?

Recently, several Christian faithfuls fell victims of Paris attack, some in the hand of Boko haram, others in either accident or building collapse.

Are the prayers of the righteous not relevant before God anymore or is God really existing as believers' assertions?

All religions claim there is God who is above all principality and powers, they say with God all things are possible!

Who is fooling Who?

I've seen religious men who are blind, lame, deaf, barren, sick and stricken with poverty. And yet with their daily belief, trust and prayer with God, they ended like that!

I'm confused...!
like I say in the other thread, God of love want the whole universe to love each other and operate in Love, but will you force people to Love you? An involuntary act
can have no moral value. It's slavery. Where would the virtue be in any action if it were impossible not to be virtuous?
All of life would become meaningless.

What alternative can you suggest? If God enslaved the human will, squelching
wrongdoing by forcibly preventing us from indulging in our favorite sins, we'd be the first to shake our fists at him. It
would be the height of hypocrisy to dare criticize God for not always interfering when tragedy looms. Time after time
we have each proved by our actions that we don't want his love and wisdom cramping our style. if we disobey God, it's God's fault? Silly!! very silly.

I've even face more than this, if you experience the religion crisis in kaduna, you will know what am talking about, seen your brothers and friends burn alive and your house burned down. The apostle Paul say:

Romans 8:35-39New International
Version (NIV)
35 Who shall separate us from the love
of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or
persecution or famine or unclothedness or
danger or sword?
36 As it is written:“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[ a]
37 No, in all these things we are more
than conquerors through him who loved
us.
38 For I am convinced that neither
death nor life, neither angels nor
demons,[ b] neither the present nor the
future, nor any powers,
39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For nearly 2,000 years, this hard-won insight has been put to the test by the torment of thousands of Christian martyrs who have agonized in triumph,
rejoicing in the goodness of God.

MKO4ever:
Moses shocked
That is really interesting. Maybe you didn't read the verses well. Those statements couldn't have been from Moses.
because of Moses disobedient in Numbers 20 God told him that he would not be able to enter the promised land , God even told him that he would die at Moab ,but God say , Moses will only be allowed to view the land afar off. Deuteronomy 34 then
relates how Moses was allowed to view
Canaan from afar before he died
( Deuteronomy 34:1–6). Although not much details were given when God told Moses how he would die, but it is possible God revealed how Moses will die to him (Moses) . After the death of
Moses, the leadership of Israel fell to
Joshua (Deuteronomy 31:7,14) in Numbers
27:18–23 it narrate how God command Moses to give Joshua the leadership, this indicate Moses knows his time of death has come, that why God want Joshua to lead. So it is possible Moses could've wrote almost near to his death, and Joshua wrote the rest. Some scholar mention Ezra as the author of Deuteronomy 34 or the seventy elders who served under Moses (Exodus 24:9).

ademega:
most times I dont like asking questions during the Sunday school service because most times its always an issue. some do see me as unrepentant unbeliever while some sees me as a realist.

most times I don't like going for Sunday school because I will always have one controversial question to ask.

today, the Sunday school was included in the normal service, so I was opportune to be their.
for redeem members, today's topic is destiny destroyers.
the things that do destroy destinies were mentioned, which were, sin, prayeless life, laziness and secular issues.

after said and done, I asked my questions backing it up with examples.

1) how can one know he is fulfilling his or destiny? can we say dangote or davido are not fulfilling their destiny knowing fully well that they engage in one or two of this destiny destroyer?
a Christian that is prayerful, hard working and does not cherish worldly things but very poor, can we say such is fulfilling destiny?
what is the measurement of destiny fulfilment?

2) can some change his or her destiny?
let say do u have control over your destiny? knowing fully well that we didnt choose our parents from the start.

all the answers provided were not convincing enough.
pls any good answer?
I don't understand your questions, do you view this people as sinners ? Or are you trying to say "how is a sinner fullfiling his destiny? Christian that is prayerful, hard working and does not cherish worldly things but very poor things, this is not destiny, they are only solving the PROBLEMS OF THEIR WEAKNESS concerning SIN.

The Bible teaches that Man was created
with the ability to make moral choices
and that he is responsible for those
choices.
This theme of being held accountable for our choices continues throughout
Scripture. “He who sows wickedness
reaps trouble” ( Proverbs 22:8a). “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty” ( Proverbs 14:23). “Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you” ( Romans 13:3).

No.I think God decides the direction and the distance. Its totally upon us to decide how far we need to go
.

Jeremiah 29:11 ESV
For I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord, plans for welfare and
not for evil, to give you a future and a
hope.
Habakkuk 2:3 ESV
For still the vision awaits its appointed
time; it hastens to the end, it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
