However my question is could Moses have written Deuteronomy as the account of how he died is written in Deuteronomy Chapter 34.

Moses did not write chapter 34, God had told Moses that he would not be able to lead the children of Israel into the Promised Land because of his prior disobedience ( Numbers 20:12) and that he would die in Moab. Deuteronomy 34 relates how Moses was allowed to view Canaan from afar before he died.after Moses died the leadership go to Joshua.it is possible that Joshua wrote the end of Moses life or the seventy elders who served under Moses (Exodus 24:9).

However I don't agree with you on item 3. I think the whole aim of the forbidden fruit was 'obedience'. The test was for Adam and Eve, both of whom had free will to either obey God or disobey him. It was a simple enough test but Eve failed it and took Adam down with her.

Lets not forget that JESUS call the phrisees fool for thinking that the gold is greater than the temple of God.

Mattew 23:17 You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred?

The context is clear in Mattew 23:17. Woes to the pharesse and scribes, they show more emphasise on the law rather than what God realy want (your heart). I will ask you the same question Jesus ask this people, which is more sacred to God? Your heart or the gold in your mosque?
