Christianity Etc › Re: 30 Facts About Islam by malvisguy212: 9:00pm On Dec 17, 2014
ayinba1:
@ifeann
You missed the point or I assumed wrong. Abraham (pbuh) was a muslim. He practiced Islam, so did Moses, Job, Solomon, Jesus and all the other prophets of God (peace of God be upon them all). My post was therefore very relevant. I was hoping to motivate you to step back and find out information for yourself.
The Qur’an states Muhammad was the first Muslim. ( Surah 6:163). However, it also that Abraham who lived centuries before Muhammad was a Muslim. ( Surah 3:67). And The Qur’an states that the disciples of Jesus who lived before Muhammad were also Muslims. ( Surah 5: 111). In fact, the Qur’an claims that all prophets, from the time of Abraham to Muhammad were Muslims. (Surah 22:78)
My question;
1. Since the quran say muhammed is the first muslim while at the same time declaring abraham and the rest who live hundred of years before the coming of muhammed to be a muslims,is this not a clear prove of contradiction?
2. How are you going to reconcile the Qur’an’s claim
that Muhammad was the first Muslim with the
Qur’an’s statement that the disciples of Jesus who
lived before him were Muslims?
3. Do you not agree that if Abraham was truly a
Muslim as the Qur’an claims, then Muhammad
cannot be the first Muslim?
4. Do you not agree that if the disciples of Jesus were truly Muslims as the Qur’an claims, then Muhammad cannot be the first Muslim?
5. Do you not agree that one or the other verse in the Qur’an is a lie?
6. Does this not clearly prove that the Qur’an contains a false statement in it?
Will the true Word of God contain an error in it?
7. As such, can you really trust the Qur’an as the Word of God?

Soo many question needed answer,the op say islam mean peace,surrender,does this not go against the freewill of God?adam and eve were giving a freewill which God did not interfere with,the word'' surrender'' seem's like a man who has ONE option to love God or die, but freewill has TWO option,love God or hate Him, it a choice which God will not interfere in it.

10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

10:5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

It is written that the evil people will burn in hell i.e. suffer for eternity, my question is that, will it make them become good, or undo the evil they have done?
What is the gain of burning them forever?
God design the law to guide us so that man will live in harmony with one another,but man chose to break this law. Those who go to hell make the choice by there own self, God say don't kill, don't steal ,don't commit adultery , is this to much to ask for?if you obey this law is for your own good,the world will be a better place to live, but people don't want to abandon there favourite sin. You chose hell or heaven,it a choice.

Good, if am sinless by faith, why should I work by not sinning?
Why not be a criminal? Afterall, I have faith.
what you are saying is impossible. if you have faith in christ it mean you are a new born creature in other word b you are born of God and cannot sin,the bible say in;
1 John 3:9
No one who is born of God will continue to sin,
because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go
on sinning, because they have been born of God

Do I become sinless by work or by faith?
FAITH;
faith is believing,in who? In the word of God (jesus)
WORK;
Salvation in christianity is the free gift of God,it is not by our doing(work) ,it is the finishing work of Christ.

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For by grace you
have been saved through faith. And this is not your
own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of
works, so that no one may boast.

You become sinless through faith in christ.

What you seem to be saying, please correct me if I'm wrong, is that they may not have been conscious of the law but they knew the law unconsciously and that is what helps them distinguish good from evil.

Where I cannot agree with you is where you seem to want to separate awareness of good and evil from The Law. If however you mean that the law is not conscious but informs us on good and evil subconsciously I can agree with that.
ok,now you understand my point now. But there is nothing to separate from,because the law was not giving at that time,to them the law dose not exist,but they are aware of good and evil.
Thank you.

@pastorAIO.
There is something you need to know about the creation story,the creation account is just a summary,detail will be reveal to you as you progress in reading the scripture.there are some book in the bible that detail the creation account,example genesis account did not say God created water but the book of job say it.

The question am expecting is genetic problem which no one ask. Adam and eve were created without genetic defect,when God created adam he(adam) was in a state of perfection,but as he disobey God,the perfection became gradually reducing,example,adam,eve,cain,methusalah and the rest died at a good old age around 900years upward but the time of abraham,moses and the rest died at the ages from 200 downward infect,it was during the time of moses God gave the law of interbreeding .God know marrying a close relative will lead to genetic defect,so he gave the law against it,He knows man is losing the perfection in him. Ask your self,why would God create adam and eve and told them to multiply if there is any genetic problem in them?NO DOUBT, GOD KNOW THERE WILL COME A STAGE WHEN ONE OF ADAM SON WILL MARRY HIS SISTER.

Thank you for your time. God bless us all

. Fact 1 : THIS scripture never said they were celebrating " christmas" ! It says They were Praising God in the heavens !

. Fact 2 : The scripture never said those angels are repeating this year after year ! Like apostate churches are doing today .

. Fact 3 : Those Angels were not feastin with jollof rice and chicken as did today !!

. Fact 4 : Jesus is no longer a baby !!

. Fact 5: The apostles document this event, yet they never mis - interprete it as uv done to back a pagan dec 25 celebration
when you say God way of celebration,you don't expect the bible to say the angels were eating and drinking, praising God is another way of celebration.

Romans 14:5-6
5 One person considers one day more sacred than
another; another considers every day alike. Each of
them should be fully convinced in their own mind.6
Whoever regards one day as special does so to the
Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for
they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does
so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.

What this verse is saying is that;if you chose a day for celebration or worship God,you do it for God and that day is holy,if you eat meat or the jollof rice( as you called it) as long as you eat it because you are happy for the Lord doing,then it not wrong.

Luke2:13-14 '' Suddenly a great company of the

“Glory to God in the highest heaven,

;
The sword of war should spare women and
children; but the sword of justice should know no
distinction, but that of guilty or not guilty. This war
was the execution of a righteous sentence upon a
guilty nation, in which the women were the worst
criminals. The female children were spared, who,
being brought up among the Israelites, would not
tempt them to idolatry. The whole history shows the
hatefulness of sin, and the guilt of tempting others;
it teaches us to avoid all occasions of evil, and to give
no quarter to inward lusts. The women and children
were not kept for sinful purposes, but for slaves, a
custom every where practised in former times, as to
captives. In the course of providence, when famine
and plagues visit a nation for sin, children suffer in
the common calamity. In this case parents are
punished in their children; and for children dying
before actual sin, full provision is made as to their
eternal happiness, by the mercy of God in Christ.

Allah encourage sex slave.
Quran 33.50 says:
"O Prophet! surely We have made lawful to you
your wives whom you have given their dowries,
and those [slaves] whom your right hand
possesses out of those whom Allah has given to
you as prisoners of war, and the daughters of
your paternal uncles and the daughters of your
paternal aunts, and the daughters of your
maternal uncles and the daughters of your
maternal aunts who fled with you; and a
believing woman if she gave herself to the
Prophet, if the Prophet desired to marry her –
specially for you, not for the (rest of) believers;
We know what We have ordained for them
concerning their wives and those whom their
right hands possess in order that no blame may
attach to you; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful".

The term "possessions of the right hand" mean
slaves. It is expressly stated that Muhammad's
slaves, which he attained as a share of the
captives in raiding infidels communities, were
actually given to him by Allah Himself. And Allah
also makes raping them halal for Muhammad
(and his Muslim followers). The verse also gives a special privilege to Muhammad to marry as many. wives as he desires, beyond the restriction of four wives for ordinary Muslims. When God's teachings
encourage a people to wage wars to capture the
women for raping as well as encourages His holy
prophet to engage in unrestrained marriage for
sexual gratification, there can't be a teaching as
evil as this in such matters.

cain was a grown man that know between good and evil, the kindness in abel, were did he get that from?, one thing you should know is this, when cain kill abel, he know he was wrong.

6 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry?
Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right,
will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is
right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have

For every time you bring out this kind of explanation for god who cannot plainly provide it himself, you create many more room for doubt and confusion. So many holes!!! You cook up reasons for actions of people that are not stated in scriptures, and that brings problems.

Why did God reject Cain's sacrifice when there was no instruction otherwise? Since God is all-knowing and all-powerful, why did he reject the sacrifice when he knew that Cain would Abel?

God did not create a perfect world, but good and evil to give us choice, yet when we exercise that choice, he punishes us forever? Does that make sense to you?
what is your purpose for living in this universe? Do you think God create you to eat and drink,enjoy life the way you like? The bible say;

''Remember your Creator in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come and the years
approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in
them"--Ecclesiastes 12:1

The purpose of you living in this earth is to love God or hate Him,and when you chose to hate Him,STILL he will send someone to warn you of your choice just like am doing now. The world man pray for is not here,it heaven,a perfect place.

NOTE; God did not create evil,he allow evil to exist just like he allow satan to walk the earth.

The question is did jesus or any of his disciples killed? Even apostle paul did not killed. Bible advice the believers to make war with the kingdom of darkness.

Concerning the amalikite.
The Amalekites attacked the Israelites without
apparent provocation as they were traveling during
the Exodus ( Ex 17:cool. "When you were weary and
worn out, they met you on your journey and cut off
all who were lagging behind" ( Dt 25:17-18). They
later attacked Israel during the time of the Judges
( Jdg 3:13) and often raided the Israelites' land after
they had planted crops, leaving them with nothing
( Jdg 6:2-5). God punished the Amalekites by ordering
Saul to destroy them (1 Sam 15:2-3) - over 300 years
after they had first attacked Israel. During that time,
the Amalekites had contact with the Israelites and
would have heard about God. They could have
repented and changed their ways, but they continued
to raid and plunder other cities up to the time of Saul
and David ( 1 Sam 30:1-3). The Amalekites that Saul
and David warred against were clearly no better than
their ancestors who had first waylaid Israel.
"Blot out the memory of Amalek" refers to the
extinction of the descendents of Amalek. Clearly God
was not referring to the world's knowledge that
Amalek existed, else he would not have commanded
the Amalekites' defeat to be recorded. He wanted
the incidents to be remembered, so that future
generations would realize that God, not the
Israelites, defeated the Amalekites and avenged
their unjust treatment of others.
The Amalekites presumably would have been wiped
out by Saul in 1 Samuel 15 if he had followed God's
instructions. He did destroy the city of Amalek, but
other raiding parties/nomadic bands of Amalekites
survived. These were defeated by David in 1 Samuel
30 with the exception of a few hundred who escaped
(30:17). The remnant of the Amalekites were finally
destroyed by the Israelites many years later (1 Chr
4:43). Thus, while God did blot out the memory of
Amalek by wiping out his descendents, he was at war
with them for many generations.

But in the quran muhammed killed people engaged in sex,even the quran say allah encourage muslim men to have sex with there slave.

My argument is that we all have a moral compass regardless of religion. Religion gives us nothing when it comes to morality.

What do you mean by Sin? I was under the presumption that you would consider violating the Law to be a sin. Therefore in order to sin you would first have to have a law. That is why I'm drawing attention to the fact that Cain was warned about sin long before 'the law'.
I believe the divine law of God is in existence,God warn adam about the knowledge of good and evil and when he violate this command of God,he face the punishment,with his failure to abide by the command of God he would definitely teach his children to obey God but instead cain disobey God.but the jewish law was not giving at that time so it was not a theological problem.
