That2: Exactly the same can be said of Islam, All religion tries to exclude themselves from bad eggs by labeling them "Not true". Jihadist beheads toddler =He isn't a true Muslim Adolf Hitler murder millions =He isn't a true Christian Then what is the basis of religion? When it can't instill moral values on individuals. You can't just labelled these bag eggs "Not true Christians/Muslims" when in fact they change the coarse of history! You read how Christianity was just a "Small cult" until an emperor made it official and kill, prosecute and banished all pagan worshippers yet you say he isn't a true Christian. You read how the slave traders used the Bible to justify slavery and tortured Christianity into the minds of blacks yet you say they aren't true Christians. Tell me! If not for these "untrue Christians/Muslims" would we be having this conversation? If not for them would any Nigerians be Christians or Muslim? Why are you now expunging them away from history while they literary affect every part of your life? Why are blacks like this, why! did you read my post? The foundation of christianity is jesus christ, did he advice us to kill or revenge? But evidence from the quran and history show muhammed fought war and own slave. |

iamord: hahaha!! U just made a grave blunder. I was born into a Christian home yet I know better than what you put up there. It just goes to show that you are brainwashed. Tell me one religion that started on a peaceful note and did not kill to drive their message and control? From out traditional religions to hebrew to asia?? Ok let me take you down memory lane... when i see Christians defending their faith purely based on what not, I should let you know that Christianity was a very "minor cult” in the fourth century, while "pagan" religions, especially Mithraism, were much more popular in the Empire put yourself into that time, will you not consider any religion apart from mithraism as pagan?. the Jesus cult would have faded into oblivion if not for an imperial decree. “It is 391 CE now as Roman Emperor Theodosius elevates Jesus (posthumously) to divinity, declaring Christianity the only "legitimate" religion of the world, under penalty of death. The ancient myth is rendered law. This decision by Theodosius is possibly the worst ever made in human history: what followed were century after century of torture and murder in the name Jesus and Christianity a year after the decree by Theodosius, crazed Christian monks of Nitria destroyed the majestic Alexandrian Library largely because philosophy and science are taught there—not the Bible. In Alexandria these are times of the highest of intellectual pursuits, all quashed by superstitious and ignorant Christians of the most godly and murderous variety: they had the "Holy Bible" on their side. The Church started killing unbelievers as early as the 4th century. The killing (often with torture) of heretics, church splinter groups, dissenters, atheists, agnostics, deists, pagans, infidels and unbelievers was supported by almost all mainstream Christian theology for over a thousand years.. Remember the witch hunts? Long ago and far away, past atrocities forgotten? So perhaps we should forgive and forget?. Around the world, the Christian Bible is still used to accuse people, usually children, of "witchcraft" and to punish them. Oh I almost forgot! The Bible decrees "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" (Ex 22:18, with support from Dt 18:10-12, Lev 20:27, 2 Chr 33:6, Micah 5:12, and 1 Sam 28:3). In the New Testament, Christians are typically kept ignorant of certain evil and immoral words "If any man come to me, and HATE NOT his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple ." - Luke 14:26.. A lot of Christians will try to ignore the moral problems of slavery by saying that slaves were actually servants or indentured servants. Many translations of the Bible use the word "servant", "bondservant", or "manservant" instead of "slave" to make the Bible seem less immoral than it really is. While many slaves may have worked as household servants, that doesn't mean that they were not slaves who were bought, sold, and treated worse than livestock.. The following passage shows that slaves are clearly property to be bought and sold like livestock. “However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)” just look at the tone or racism in this post. No wonder the whites and arabs had right to enslave a gullible black people. The following passage describes how the Hebrew slaves are to be treated. If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. If he was single when he became your slave and then married afterward, only he will go free in the seventh year. But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife will be freed with him. If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. But the slave may plainly declare, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children. I would rather not go free.' If he does this, his master must present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will belong to his master forever. (Exodus 21:2-6 NLT) Notice how they can get a male Hebrew slave to become a permanent slave by keeping his wife and children hostage until he says he wants to become a permanent slave. What kind of family values are these? The following passage describes the sickening practice of sex slavery. How can anyone think it is moral to sell your own daughter as a sex slave? When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT) Not only does Jesus never advise against slavery, but he recommends savage whipping of disobedient slaves: "And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes ." - Luke 12:47. Damn! I can go on and on! Am sure pastors and church elders don't quote these verses. What I am just trying to say is that no religion is perfect! Deception are acts to propagate beliefs of things that are not true, or not the whole truth (as in half- truths or omission).. To everyone that reads this post. I say put on your thinking caps!!! Thank you!! I absolutely agree with atheists and others who say that many atrocious things have been done in the name of God, and even in the name of Christianity. However, these atrocities were not perpetrated by God, but by evil human beings. Christianity should be judged on the basis of what Jesus said and did, not on the basis of the actions of people who merely claim to be Christians. Foxe's Book of Martyrs details the deaths of Christians who were killed because of their faith in Christ, in many cases by people claiming to be Christians. Only God knows the true christians,we don't know for sure who is a true christians but the bible help us to knows our brothers in christ. '' But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.'' ( Galatians 5:22-23) In addition, the true believer does what is right and demonstrates love toward others. Even non- believers can readily see who the true Christians are. |

kinesis: the book of genesis states clearly that there was a void which consists of the skies we see now and the visible land...only there was nothing...God did seperate these from each other in creation. science does agree very well with the bible...we are just too blind to see it the book of genesis does not teaches that the heaven and earth was once join together, this contradict the big bang. The void; it was confusion, and emptiness. In like manner the work of grace in the soul is a new creation: and in a graceless soul, one that is not born again, there is disorder, confusion, and every evil work: it is empty of all good, for it is without God; it is dark, it is darkness itself: this is our condition by nature, till Almighty grace works a change in us. Genesis1:9-19 claims God created the earth before the heavens.(it is a well known fact that our planet came from its own star, the sun. Funny abi? Hope u did a Lil bit of science.Their are soo many scientific miracles in the Quran, and proven too. you would be blown away! The attempts by people to distort this as always been shamed. "Do the disbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were joined together, then I split them apart?"(Quran21 verse30) once again, hope you did a little bit of science? the quran say heaven and earth was once join together before allah seperate it, science dose not agree with this, the quran say fluid(sperm) emancipated from the back born and rib, this is wrong, there are a lot of error in it. the Bible was not written as a work of science nor was its purpose to describe the workings of the physical world. It was written to explain spiritual principles - the nature of mankind, the nature of God, and how people can have a personal relationship with God. However, when the Bible describes the physical world, it is accurate. Time had a beginning 2 Timothy 1:9, Titus 1:2, 1 Corinthians 2:7 Scientific evidence show the universe had a beginning. The universe was created from the invisible Hebrews 11:34 The dimensions of the universe were created Romans 8:38-39 The universe is expanding Job 9:8, Psalm 104:2, Isaiah 40:22. Their are a lot of it, but this is not the purpose of the bible. |

frosbel: Lets be honest, we are all born into a culture , religion and tradition. We are a product of these factors plus the additional factor of parental upbringing.
Considering that there are over 50 world religions including the main ones , i.e Islam and Christianity each with a plethora of denominations or sects , especially in Christianity with over 40,000 sects and still growing, how can one be 100% confident that his/her religion and sect is the right one ??
Mr A is a Muslim and can swear with his life that Islam is the one and true religion and without this no one can be saved, Mr B is a Christian who believes that anyone who does not believe in Jesus is forever lost. But they were born into these religions and were tutored from kindergarten that they ONLY worship the true GOD.
Furthermore at a high level , the Sunnis believe the Shiites are hell bound and vice versa, Deeperlife believe they have the right doctrines but so do Christ embassy and redeemed.
We have so many doctrines, teachings, beliefs etc , but HOW DOES MAN FILTER THROUGH ALL THIS CONFUSION TO KNOW WHICH IS THE RIGHT WAY ?
Knowing that 40% of the worlds population will never agree with Islam or Christianity or may not even have heard about them, how can we be so sure that we are right and they are wrong and we are saved but they are damned. What is the premise for your conclusion ?
Please help me here. Agnostics often fall into two camps - those who believe that all religions can lead to God or those who believe that true religion cannot be discerned. This page examines both positions in an attempt to determine where the truth may lie. Logically, there are several possibilities. Atheists would say that no religion leads to God, since He doesn't exist. It is possible that one, several or all religions lead to God. ALL WAYS LEAD TO GOD: There are hundreds of religions in the world today, and many ancient religions that are no longer practiced. It is possible, and perhaps likely, that all religions contain some truth and/or good moral advice. However, in examining religious teaching, it is important to examine the fundamental beliefs of each religion and compare those to each other. When this is done, it is apparent that primary religious teachings contradict each other. Judaism says that the Messiah is coming, Christianity says that He has come, and Islam says that Mohammad provided all the information necessary for religious life. Obviously, these truth claims cannot be simultaneously true, since they contradict each other. Logically, we must reject the idea that all religions lead to God. TRUE RELIGEON:IS IT POSSIBLE TO DISCERN? I believe that there are some things that we can discern about God from the nature of the universe. The universe demonstrates some remarkable evidence of design. What kind of God designed all this, and how can we know His true identity? Most people who believe God exists would agree with the argument that the God who designed the universe must be a personal God. For God to put so much time and care into the design of the universe and life, it would seem logical to conclude that God really cared about His creation, and was personally involved in it's creation. A God who did not care about his creation would never be expected to spend 14 billion years of development just so that humans would have a nice place to live for a few thousand years. Therefore, it would seem likely that the true God must be a personal God, and not the God of deism, pantheism, Buddhism, etc. So, it would seem that these religions probably do not represent the true nature of God. ELIMINATE THE ILLOGICAL: The powerful and personal Creator God of the universe would probably want to reveal Himself to His spiritual creatures. So, it seems likely that God would have revealed His true nature to one or more of the peoples of the earth. Are all the revelations of the world religions a reflection of God or just certain one(s)? This is the difficult question that cannot be answered in merely one short page. However, I believe one can come up with a best answer through much study and through the process of elimination. For example, some religions make truth claims that are obviously false. The LDS church (Mormons) claims that gods are created through procreation and that creatures created by those gods can eventually become gods themselves. However, this religion suffers from the problem of how the first god came into existence. Logic would dictate that God is eternal and uncreated. All religions that claim otherwise would seem to be logically flawed. BASIC RELIGEON CLAIM: Since many religious claims contradict one another, it would seem that not all religions could be simultaneously true. How can we tell which religion(s) are true? If you examine the world religions, most describe ethical and moral laws that are ascribed to God. Breaking of those laws is an offense to God. How do different religions handle that problem? Many religions say that if one tries to obey God's laws most of the time, God will accept you. However, I believe that we can eliminate that idea as being true of the Creator God of the universe. God designed physical laws of the universe. These laws are constant and unbreakable. God Himself, seems to break those physical laws only rarely. I propose that this God would not accept the breaking of His moral laws so easily. In fact, from the nature of the physical laws, it would seem that God would not accept the breaking of His moral laws at all. Nearly all religions claim that God will ignore our breaking of His moral laws as long as we try our best. This is where Christianity differs from all other world religions. Christianity says that our good works cannot erase our bad moral choices. Think of it in terms of our legal systems. We are convicted of crimes on the basis of breaking the law. If we break a law, we are found guilty under the law. It doesn't matter what good things we have done in our lives, if we break the law. We might get a lesser sentence, but we will still be convicted of a crime. So, God cannot simply ignore our crimes against Him. We will be found guilty, despite our good works. Christianity says that our bad deeds (sins) must be eliminated in order to be acceptable to God. The elimination of sins was accomplished by the sacrifice of the Savior (Jesus Christ). Jesus Christ is God Himself, who came to earth, led a sinless life, and died on the cross as a sacrifice to take the sins of mankind. So, God Himself provided a means of eliminating our sins against Him. However, the elimination of sins is not automatic. Since God will allow people into His presence after death, they must agree to His terms. This contract is executed through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to eliminate our sins. By accepting God's terms, our sins are erased and we can stand in the presence of God without any sin. Only our good deeds will be counted for our judgment. Those who don't accept God's terms will be judged on the basis of God's laws - and will be found guilty. CHRISTIANITY IS DIFFERENT : No other religion provides a provision for God's forgiveness of sin, which is why I believe Christianity to be the only true way to God. Jesus said He is the only way to God and that all people must follow Him to enter heaven. All other religions are man's attempt to become acceptable to God. Only Christianity says that God alone provides the only means to be acceptable to Him. So, either Christianity is true and all other religions are false or Christianity is false and God does not hold people accountable for law breaking. Personally, I would not want to rely upon God ignoring His own rules. It doesn't seem to be logical reasoning. This is the choice you must make. CONCLUSION: So, I encourage you to examine the world religions to see if what I am saying is true. Don't give up on the ability to separate the truth claims of the world's religions. If Christianity is true, you must make a choice or you will be judged on the basis of your sins against God. Let me know if you have any questions. |

denigma2: The reality is that in order to answer the question, of which religion is the right one, we've got to think for ourselves based on available information. We've got to think from the known to the unknown If per adventure I find myself inside a moving train or a bus, which kind of questions would I ask myself? Why am I here? Where is this train going to? Where am I coming from? Who placed me here? What is expected of me?... Everyone other thing would be insignificant until I find answers to these questions. Unfortunately, we've all taken these life defining questions for granted. If we spend our entire lives seeking the reasons, essence and source of our existence, it would be worthwhile. We end up depending on others for answers. Lets ask ourselves. Can we depend on another stranger's description when locating a new place. Then why depend on others for answers to these questions. It will be unacceptable if we agree with others' opinions on these hook, line and sinker without thinking through them thoroughly. Read the Quran, Bible, Torah e.t.c and ask yourself some important questions: Can Jesus be God? After death what next? Who is my Creator? None of the Prophets ever ordered that you worship other than the Creator, they all preached the message of submission to the Creator. and Islam is derived from the root word of Submission and peace! muhammed was in the cave of hira when the truth descend on him, meaning a new chapter of truth has just began,a new religion. Why the truth did not descend on other prophet? Could this mean the main reason islam get their religion creed (I believe in allah and muhammed is his only messenger?) Can you differentiate the truth other prophet were living in and the truth that descend on muhammed? Their are a lot of evidence that show the quran was spiritually manipulated by satan. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Did God Create Evil - Does The Bible Say So? by malvisguy212(op): 12:03am On Dec 14, 2014 |
malvisguy212: One of the most common reasons skeptics reject the existence of God is due to the presence of evil in this universe. They reason that a perfect God would not create a universe in which evil exists. Skeptics claim that since God created everything that God must have also created evil. They even cite Bible verses, such as:
'' I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. ( Isaiah 45:7, KJV)''
'' Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? ( Amos 3:6, KJV)''
'' Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good? ( Lamentations 3:38)''
However, evil is not really a created thing. You can't see, touch, feel, smell or hear evil. It is not one of the fundamental forces of physics, nor does it consist of matter, energy, or the spatial dimensions of the universe. Still, skeptics like to claim that God created evil and cite the Bible to "prove" their point. The Bible is quite clear that God is not the author of evil and insists that He is incapable of. doing so.
Skeptics love the KJV so much, one would think that they were still back in medieval England. Use of this translation is problematic these days, since it uses an archaic version of modern English, which doesn't necessarily mean the same things today as when it was translated over 400 years ago. In addition, the KJV was produced using a limited number of medieval manuscripts that did not represent the earliest Alexandrian set of manuscripts.
WHAT DO THE MODERN TRANSLATION SAY?
1.Isaiah 45:7. The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these. ( Isaiah 45:7, NASB) I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things. ( Isaiah 45:7, NIV) Isaiah 45:7 contrasts opposites. Darkness is the opposite of light. However, evil is not the opposite of peace. The Hebrew word translated "peace" is shampoo, which has many meanings, mostly related to the well being of individuals. Râ‛âh, the Hebrew word translated "evil" in the KJV often refers to adversity or calamity. There are two forms of the word. Strong's H7451a most often refers to moral evil, whereas Strong's H7451b (the form used here) most often refers to calamity or distress. Obviously, "calamity" is a better antonym of "peace" than "evil." 2.Amos3:6. If a trumpet is blown in a city will not the people tremble? If a calamity occurs in a city has not the LORD done it? ( Amos 3:6, NASB) When a trumpet sounds in a city, do not the people tremble? When disaster comes to a city, has not the LORD caused it? ( Amos 3:6, NIV) Likewise, Amos 3:6 uses the same word, râ‛âh, referring to calamity or disaster. the context (a disaster happening to a city) does not refer to moral evil. 3. Lamentations 3:38 Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and good things come? ( Lamentations 3:38, NIV) Is it not from the mouth of the Most High That both good and ill go forth? ( Lamentations 3:38, NASB) The King James Version of Lamentations 3:38 seems to suggest that God speaks both good and evil. However, if one reads the verse in context, the preceding verses indicate that God does not do or approve of evil. The verse following indicates that people should not complain in view of their sins. What the verse really is saying that God decrees times of good things and times of judgment. Lamentations was written by Jeremiah during a time of judgment, when Judah had gone off into exile. Jeremiah was chosen by God to be the prophet to tell Judah to reform or be judged. The people did not believe Jeremiah, and, therefore, fell under God's judgment. In Lamentations 3:38, the word translated "good" is ṭôb (Strong's H2896). The word usually refers to good things as opposed to bad things. Again, râ‛âh does not refer to moral evil, but calamities, in this verse. Likewise, the Bible commentaries indicate that the verse refers to God's judgment based upon people's sin Conclusion; God is not the author of evil. However, God does reward and punish on the basis of good and bad behavior. Therefore, God does bring judgment and calamity (either directly or through human authorities) on those who rebel. God will ultimately judge all people, since rebels will not be allowed in the new, perfect creation. |

Slitz: The answer is as simple as ABC! anything that takes you away from the worship of the one who created you, I mean the Lord of the heavens the earth and the universe is falsehood, without doubt. Anything that claims God is divided into segments yet still one , is deception. And the theory that most Muslims who bcm xtians, discovered Jesus(peace be upon him) is an illusion. 99% of the people I have seen abandon Islam( the religion that reminds you to submit to NONE other than the One who created you) and uphold a religion that says 1+1+1=1 is simply because of trials which they wer facing. And God reminds us in the Quran that "do the people think that they would be left to say we believe and would not be tested?" many Muslims have failed to understand this and unfortunately get misguided by the "Miracle workers". The earlier generation who believed in their Lord and ascribed no partners to Him wer definitely guided. Moses, Abraham, Jesus Christ, Muhammed, Noah(peace be upon them all) bowed down to their Creator. We have no doubt that they wer upon the truth. So there can be no doubt that the religion that goes in line with the message they brought is the truth. The religion of Islam was not introduced by Muhammad (SAW) rather he came with the same message of the earlier Prophets. The message of submission to One God without partners, no sons, no daughters, no wifes. "He begets not nor is He begotten" muhammed claim the truth descend on him in the cave of hira, dose this mean all the pass prophet were living in lies? The quran say muhammed is the first muslim. |

peteregwu: it is the work of the Vatican. they are never christians, but pagans and Satan worshippers, even up til now. so the Vatican initiated Christmas, to offend God. they always love to create things that will always go contrary to the word of God. they are Antichrist and working for him till the appointed time.
waiting concern me with Christmas. am not a catholic but the write up may be true but it is the work of satan to go against the work and salvation God plan for us, hurus mithras and any demon can be born on the 25 of december but the bible is clear, we don't know the exactly date of christ birth but the book of romans 14 encourage us to set a date for worshipping or making a feast for God, read more on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/2042382/why-christians-should-celebrate-christmas.not God himself approve it. |
Christianity Etc › Why Christians Should Celebrate Christmas.not For Athiest. by malvisguy212(op): 9:41am On Dec 13, 2014 |
The question of whether Christians should celebrate Christmas seems like a foregone conclusion. However, a number of Christians are strongly against celebrating Christmas. This thread will examine the question of celebrating Christmas from the scriptures. Are there good reasons for or against celebrating Christmas? How should we celebrate? Their are two answer to this question, YES and NO,let us take a look at the answers;
CELEBRATE,YES Although there is no record of early Christians celebrating Christmas in the Bible, there is a record of God celebrating the first Christmas. According to the gospel of Luke, God sent a multitude of angels who were praising God and announced the birth of Jesus to a number of shepherds. So, God Himself doesn't seem opposed to celebrating Christmas. Luke2:13-14 '' Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
This is enough prove that even the heavenly host celebrate the announcement of christ birth,it was God himself that approve it. Skeptic say jesus was not born in december, yes, no one know the exactly date but bible tell us how to celebrate a feast;
Romans 14. 5 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
CELEBRAITE NO A history of the church shows that Christmas was not celebrated for the first three centuries after Jesus' resurrection. The first Christian Roman emperor, Constantine, began the celebration of Christmas on December 25 in 325 A.D. The December 25th date of Christmas might have been selected to correspond with the winter solstice or with the Roman solar holiday Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, but was unlikely to be the actual birthday of Jesus. For this reason alone, many Christians have rejected the traditional December 25th celebration of Jesus' birth.
WHAT TO CELEBRATE. The Bible is clear that Christians should not be telling other Christians what days to celebrate, as long as they honor God and do it giving thanks to Him. So, whether or not a Christian celebrates Christmas is up to their own personal conscience. However, the manner in which Christians celebrate Christmas is a legitimate topic for discussion among Christians. Certainly, entertaining family and friends and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ honors God and fulfills the advice given by Paul in Romans 14.7 However, random "holiday" parties and endless gift exchange just adds to the secularization of Christmas.
CONCLUSION; Christmas should be a time to celebrate God's greatest gift to us, the birth of Jesus Christ. Although we do not know the day (or even the year) of Jesus' birth, celebrating on December 25th is as good as any. In fact, many of the feasts given in the Old Testament were based upon a calendar that was not 365 days long, resulting in them being celebrated on different solar days each year. Even the Christian celebration of Easter is based upon the Jewish Passover, so is not celebrated on a specific day of the solar year. The Bible advises that Christians celebrate based upon their own consciences, "giving thanks to God." So, we advise celebrating as the Lord leads, but always giving thanks for God's great gift to humanity.

Joshthefirst: Straight to the point then: Are you a Christian? The criteria for becoming saved is in Romans 10: 8-13
You cannot lose your salvation by belonging to a denomination, or attending a particular church group or fellowshipping with some particular brethren of like faith, as long as you still believe Jesus is the Son of God who died and rose again for your salvation.
Jesus doesn't look at denominations to count you worthy of salvation. He looks at whether you have faith in him or not.
As far as we believe in the first and only criteria stated above. The differences in denominations is a difference in knowledge.
And its very easy to know which fellowship is gaining ground with the help of God: Stop reading nonsense about issues online and go see and hear for yourself. Let Gods spirit guide you to choose who you listen to.
Where the word of God is preached there will be demonstration of power and blessing. God bless you bro. Many people want to becomes right with God by disconnecting them self from their brethren. |

Maamin: Who told you no one knows the exact date?...with careful study and deduction in the events that leads to his death I think we could come to a better conclusion on his birth. Although is not october like MzNelly assert. the reason I say no one knows the date is because some say october some april some march and many christians believe it is december. All this cannot be true. Anyway thank you for your faith in christ. |

Unluvable:

job's story is very disturbing...we are pawns in the great game of chess between the almighty and his adversary. alas! the almighty will always checkmate after much pawns have been kicked out. what a great news! Another reason for rejecting God (choosing atheism), is a willing acceptance of satanic deception. The angel Lucifer (“luminous one”) fell and became Satan (“adversary”) due to his desire to supplant God. This was Lucifer’s single-minded obsession. He not only rejected God by attempting to supplant Him, but he urged humans to do likewise. Satan urged Eve to choose against God for her own self- fulfilment: He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’” But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” ( Genesis 3:1-5 ESV). LET US ANALYZ THIS VERS; The tactic is clear: firstly, question God’s statements, then, contradict God’s statements and, finally, urge rebellion in seeking equality with God. This manifests in atheists as; 1. Questioning whether there is a God to make statements in the first place, so God did not say anything. 2. Contradicting the statements said to have been spoken by God. 3. Seeking equality with God by replacing God with the self. This satanic deception appeals strongly to atheists as it bolsters two of their desired delusions: 1) absolute autonomy—being free to do as they please, and 2) the lack of ultimate accountability—there are no eternal consequences for doing as they please. Look at Satan's reason for rebelling against God. It's not that he doesn't recognize that God is greater than he is. He does. It's just that he doesn't want to play by anybody else's rules. This idea that it is better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven is Satan's motto, and it turns out that this is also the motto of contemporary atheists such as Christopher Hitchens. |

"Pastor Jeremiah Steepek (pictured) transformed himself into a homeless person and went to the 10,000 member church that he was to be introduced as the head pastor at that morning. He walked around his soon to be church for 30 minutes while it was filling with people for service....only 3 people out of the 7-10,000 people said hello to him. He asked people for change to buy food....NO ONE in the church gave him change. He went into the sanctuary to sit down in the front of the church and was asked by the ushers if he would please sit n the back. He greeted people to be greeted back with stares and dirty looks, with people looking down on him and judging him.
As he sat in the back of the church, he listened to the church announcements and such. When all that was done, the elders went up and were excited to introduce the new pastor of the church to the congregation........"We would like to introduce to you Pastor Jeremiah Steepek".... The congregation looked around clapping with joy and anticipation.....The homeless man sitting in the back stood up..... and started walking down the aisle.....the clapping stopped with ALL eyes on him....he walked up the altar and took the microphone from the elders (who were in on this) and paused for a moment....then he recited
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
After he recited this, he looked towards the congregation and told them all what he had experienced that morning...many began to cry and many heads were bowed in shame.... he then said....Today I see a gathering of people...... not a church of Jesus Christ. The world has enough people, but not enough disciples...when will YOU decide to become disciples? He then dismissed service until next week....... Being a Christian is more than something you claim. I'ts something you live by and share with others."
... according to Snopes, this is an urban legend. But what do you think? God bless you for this wonderful post my sister.many are called few are chosen. Mod frontpage. |

davien: Yup..."god" is not the "author of evil"....it just allows it to happen. Might I remind you of Job,whom "god" allegedly allowed his children be killed only to give him "brand new kids" as though children are commodities? The devil caused Job’s troubles (Job 1:12; Job 2:6-7). But Job did not know this fact. So Job thought that God caused the problems (Job 19:1-12). In fact, God did not cause Job’s troubles. God merely permitted Job to suffer. Still, Job trusted God. And Job refused to insult God (Job 2:9-10). |
