Hey buddy, there is no need to punctuate your comments with such statements as 'You are free to choose to love God or hate him, it your choice'. Of course it is my choice and it came by virtue of some really rigorous search.
So back to our discourse. Since there is no law to cause sin, what is the basis for the punishment melted out on Cain in the first instance? Why was Cain punished for what he was not warned about?
One of the things I have noticed about the religious is their tendency to resort to extra-biblical explanations and interpretations. Saying I don't know is often a problem for them. And that is exactly the reason why there are so many sects and denominations in all versions of religions.
You have to ask yourself: why does an all-loving, all-knowing, all-powerful God leave his children in this constant confusion that has led men into wars and witch-hunts where tens of millions have been killed. knowledge of good and evil is there, where did abel get the kind heart to love God? “Never have sexual intercourse with anyone related to you by blood. I am the Lord." Leviticus 18:6 (God's Word Translation) all of these events happened before the law was given. Christianity Etc › Re: My Thoughts And Questions About Religion by malvisguy212: 9:17am On Dec 15, 2014 |
it's a choice, you love God or you Reject Him,concerning the wife of cain;bible does not specifically say it only cain and abel was the son of adam,. Although Cain does seem to be the firstborn, the text is not clear that Abel was the second born, but only that he was the second son. Later, the narrative indicates that Adam and Eve produced "other sons and daughters." So, it is possible that Adam and Eve produced daughters between the births of Cain and Abel. It is also likely that others sons and daughters were produced after the birth of Abel. We don't know how old Cain and Abel were when Cain murdered his brother, but they seem to be at least young adults, since they are both engage in a trade. for their living.
Although the period of time between the birth of Cain and the death of Abel is not given in the Bible, it would seem that this period was probably over 100 years, since the birth of Adam's next son, Seth is said to have occurred when Adam was 130 years old. Adam and Eve could have produced many daughters during that period of time. It is possible cain would have marry one of this sister,God caused him may have lead to this. |

frosbel: Countless people were saved outside the religion of those days , For instance , Job :
"In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil." - Job 1:1
Others included Caleb, Ruth , etc who were favoured because they lived an honourable life in reverence for God.
So , why is this not applicable today ?? Why can a man who lives a righteousness life with the fear of God not be acceptable in God's sight ? they were saved by faith in God .what you are trying to say here is this, good deed can saved a sinner, the idea of earning salvation through good deed is a belief in islam and judaism.. The idea arose from a system that is dedicated to the teaching and practice of the law. However, the law, given by God, has been expanded by the rules of men as they attempted to interpret every instance of human behavior. As a result, the Jewish law is now all- encompassing, and even more difficult to obey than when it was originally given. Being right with God; So how do you become righteous enough to be acceptable in the eyes of God? Much of the world has decided that one can become acceptable to God if the good deeds outweigh the bad deeds. The problem is that this concept is never stated in the Old Testament. The Hebrew word, yeshuah (Strong's number H3444), or one of its derivatives, usually translated "salvation," nearly always refers to a work of God. In fact, in 104 out of 106 instances "salvation" refers specifically to a work of God that has nothing to do with any human effort. A verse from the Psalms specifically ties salvation to belief: Because they did not believe in God, And did not trust in His salvation. ( Psalm 78:22) Another verse indicates quite clearly that humans are unable to intercede on their own behalf because of our lack of righteousness: And He saw that there was no man, And was astonished that there was no one to intercede; Then His own arm brought salvation to Him; And His righteousness upheld Him. ( Isaiah 59:16) The book of hebrew teaches salvation in the old testement https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews+11&version=NKJV |

Christianity Etc › Re: Jesus Wasnt Born On December 25 by malvisguy212: 2:13pm On Dec 14, 2014 |
sod09: Is it even possible that December 25 could be the day of Christ's birth? History convincingly shows that Dec. 25 was popularized as the date for Christmas, not because Christ was born on that day but because it was already popular in pagan religious celebrations as the birthday of the sun. But is it possible that December 25 could be the day of Christ's birth? "Lacking any scriptural pointers to Jesus's birthday, early Christian teachers suggested dates all over the calendar. Clement. . . picked November 18. Hippolytus . . . figured Christ must have been born on a Wednesday . . . An anonymous document[,] believed to have been written in North Africa around A.D. 243, placed Jesus's birth on March 28" (Jeffery Sheler, U.S. News & World Report, "In Search of Christmas," Dec. 23, 1996, p. 58). A careful analysis of Scripture, however, clearly indicates that Dec. 25 is an unlikely date for Christ's birth. Here are two primary reasons: First, we know that shepherds were in the fields watching their flocks at the time of Jesus' birth ( Luke:2:7-8 ). Shepherds were not in the fields during December. According to Celebrations: The Complete Book of American Holidays, Luke's account "suggests that Jesus may have been born in summer or early fall. Since December is cold and rainy in Judea, it is likely the shepherds would have sought shelter for their flocks at night" (p. 309). Similarly, The Interpreter's One-Volume Commentary says this passage argues "against the birth [of Christ] occurring on Dec. 25 since the weather would not have permitted" shepherds watching over their flocks in the fields at night. Second, Jesus' parents came to Bethlehem to register in a Roman census (Luke:2:1-4 ). Such censuses were not taken in winter, when temperatures often dropped below freezing and roads were in poor condition. Taking a census under such conditions would have been self-defeating. Given the difficulties and the desire to bring pagans into Christianity, "the important fact then . . . to get clearly into your head is that the fixing of the date as December 25th was a compromise with paganism" (William Walsh, The Story of Santa Klaus, 1970, p. 62). If Jesus Christ wasn't born on December 25, does the Bible indicate when He was born? The biblical accounts point to the fall of the year as the most likely time of Jesus' birth, based on the conception and birth of John the Baptist. Since Elizabeth (John's mother) was in her sixth month of pregnancy when Jesus was conceived ( Luke:1:24-36 ), we can determine the approximate time of year Jesus was born if we know when John was born. John's father, Zacharias, was a priest serving in the Jerusalem temple during the course of Abijah (Luke:1:5 ). Historical calculations indicate this course of service corresponded to June 13-19 in that year ( The Companion Bible, 1974, Appendix 179, p. 200). It was during this time of temple service that Zacharias learned that he and his wife Elizabeth would have a child ( Luke:1:8-13 ). After he completed his service and traveled home, Elizabeth conceived ( Luke:1:23-24 ). Assuming John's conception took place near the end of June, adding nine months brings us to the end of March as the most likely time for John's birth. Adding another six months (the difference in ages between John and Jesus) brings us to the end of September as the likely time of Jesus' birth.
http://www.ucg.org/doctrinal-beliefs/biblical-evidence-shows-jesus-christ-wasnt-born-dec-25/ yes no one knows the day or year but bible advice the believers how to celebrate a feast in the book of romans. Romans14:5 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. Bible evidence show God himself celebrate the birth of jesus together with the heavenly host in the book of luke. |

That2: Unbelievers, Yes unbelievers! How god used used Moses, Judas etc to kill them the same way Allah used Muhammad to kill their own version of unbelievers. And you find nothing wrong in yours but find everything wrong in theirs. Another waste of time! The Amalekites attacked the Israelites without apparent provocation as they were traveling during the Exodus ( Ex 17: . "When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and cut off all who were lagging behind" ( Dt 25:17-18). They later attacked Israel during the time of the Judges ( Jdg 3:13) and often raided the Israelites' land after they had planted crops, leaving them with nothing ( Jdg 6:2-5). God punished the Amalekites by ordering Saul to destroy them (1 Sam 15:2-3) - over 300 years after they had first attacked Israel. During that time, the Amalekites had contact with the Israelites and would have heard about God. They could have repented and changed their ways, but they continued to raid and plunder other cities up to the time of Saul and David ( 1 Sam 30:1-3). The Amalekites that Saul and David warred against were clearly no better than their ancestors who had first waylaid Israel. This is the judgment of God on the amalekites, The LORD said to Moses, "Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven." Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner. He said, "For hands were lifted up to the throne of the LORD. The LORD will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation." ( Ex 17:14-16) There judgment has been pronounce long before the appointment of joshua but God speared them untill they filled the meassure of their sin. |
