They want to see if you yourself can afford the trip if you were to go on your own as a man without assistance. And from that 190k Sef minus the deductions I don't see how that will fly.

Plz I need advise.
My wife got a COS for a health care job in July.
Our family of 6 did biometrics on Sept 18th in Ikeja.
On the 20th of September she recieved a mail from UKVI saying that her application cannot proceed until she provides evidence that she had met the English requirements and giving her 10 working days to do so

Meanwhile she had uploaded a comparability letter from UK ENIC (Formerly ECCTIS) in addition to a letter of English Proficiency from National Open University and to which an acknowledgement mail was recieved from UKVI.

There were no further correspondences up until the 10th of November when she got a refusal letter. Meanwhile the refusal letter was dated 18th October and giving her 28days to file for an administrative review.
The following week she reached out to ECCTIS who sent all the necessary English language document. Even went a step further to write IELTS and exceeded the required band score.

My Questions are as Follows:
(1) Is she time-barred since the refusal letter was dated 18th October and she had 28 to file for a review.

(2) Will it be a great idea to seek an Immigration lawyer to file for the review.

(3) What are the chances of a positive outcome?

So sorry for the lengthy post but we are seeking for solutions as a lot of time and effort has gone into this endeavour.

Exactly why I’m confused too. The information I got earlier is that after getting wedding certificate, I can file for my wife while I arrive in the UK and this is going to be a dependent Visa with £6120 as her one year maintenance fees. I think mamaEEE May have forgotten my story due to my many questions

I got my student tier 4 Visa this week and I plan to travel by ending of February. I applied as single but now I’m planning to bring my fiancée as soon as I get to UK. For this reason, we plan to have our court wedding before I leave. Please guide me on the kind of visa to go for and how to go about it.

NB: I was advised not to include her in my tier 4 application since we haven’t gotten married legally.

Am currently on a Tier2 work visa, and had my traditional and court wedding done last year and planning for the church wedding for August 2021. The plan is to have my wife come join me permanently here after the wedding, so looking at starting the application for her.

Please what visa route would you advise I take, Dependant or Spousal visa as I believe they are different.?

Why create a problem where it doesn't exist. For your mom to tell you not to be totally transparent with your spouse tells a lot about her. You have trusted her with your finances for over six years now and you did not lay a single complaint. That shows she is at least understanding and trustworthy. As long she is not using any form of manipulation on you in managing this your finances then I see nothing wrong in what you are doing. A man that still needs his mother and siblings to guide him on how to run his home, is not ripe for marriage. Where there is no crack, don't apply one.

I married my spouse 2014,he based in uk,but because of d anxiety that I want to go nd meet my husband we made a wrong decision,I applied for visitor visa 2015 through an agent who told us he will provide all necessary documents because then my husband was not having a good job nd he just moved frm London to Manchester,not knowing dis guy used fake documents nd all,he even changed my spouse to another name nd provide another marriage certificate nd I was refused due to fake bank statements nd fake references,though I dnt knw why I was refused because he ran away with refusal letter,Nov last year I applied for spouse visa when my husband is financially ok nd we have all d evidence,and I was refused because I provided my marriage certificate of 2014 with my husband when I told them am still living with my previous husband in my previous application with marriage certificate,so they are convinced that my marriage with my real husband is not genuine,am confused on what to do because we want to appeal
N.B———I can’t find d agent and I dnt knw what date he filled for my previous marriage certificate even if I want to apply for divorce paper
Pls help me because am going through trauma already

Hi everyone, a very insightful thread we have here. Please I have a question.

Is there a minimum duration within which a relationship has to have lasted before it's seen as subsisting?(Based on the Visa Officer's discretion)
I ask because I met and engaged my fiancee within the last half of this year (With proof). We are getting married in march due to how overbearing the distance has been. So that rounds everything up to 8months. Do I have a weak case here? Would this make our marriage less believable?

The event would be happening in Nigeria, i was at the Lagos high commission to make enquiry but there was no to attend to me, fiance's family would be handling the registry activities (fathers wish), so he doesn't know how to go about the giving notice of marriage

Category B is not an option because she has not worked up to a year yet. Category B, would require 12months payslips and account statements if you have less than 6months employment in your current place of work. Iwas advised to apply under category A after she must have completed 6months on the 2nd job. The both jobs are salaried jobs. I may have to wait. Thanks for the info #MamaEEE... I didn't know the had categories until you responded.

Hello guys,

I just found out that my wife's annual gross salary will not be sufficient. It's about £16,000, though she started a second job (agency job) about a month ago with about the same annual gross. How do I combine it to be able to summit the application latest December? Will 6months payslips of her permanent job and 3months payslips of the agency job be acceptable? Do I have to wait till she has 6months payslips on the agency job?
