oscarwilde: Hey Guys,
Please I'll need your wisdom again oooh...
So, my wife is applying for me from UK.Wanted to know if I'll have to send her my originals to scan and summit at the UK Visa centre there... In short. how does it work when your partner is applying for you from the UK? What would I go with on the day of the biometric appointment if I send all my originals? Sumtime around July it was said for every one who lost their job due to covid can still apply for spouse visa. And that their income will b judged on what they got before covid-19(march2020)... So I think u r good to go. But please verify from their site if that still stands or d grace ended in August * Wrong answer, was not met for your question. |

helen44: hello everyone, I need a little help ,my husband is a British citizen and has filed for me to join him we have summited our application 2 weeks ago, but I was just told that I am suppose to include an IELTS Results and a Tuberculosis certificate which I did not , now my question is , is there any way to send these 2 documents to the uk embassy in Nigeria ? I didn't think their is much you can do... But just give it a try... Scan and send to same address you forwarded your documents to earlier with a cover letter, that it was an oversight from your end. Then pray a miracle happens... But hope you have the missing documents already... |

Whandey04: Good morning ,
I also have this issue,my husband stays with his friend in a one bedroom apartment (separate living room and bedroom although the living room is in a joint area with the kitchen) they both pay the utility bill and the electricity roll, the agreement was updated recently to bear both their name ,my question now is
1) Would this accommodation be acceptable ?
2) we want to write a letter saying we would move from the apartment after a while ,when we get something appropriate.we have evident of looking for an apartment and some apartment we applied to but due to pandemic We haven't heard back from them.
I am hoping to submit my application my end of this month.
BTW he is in uk whilst I am in Germany
Your advice would be appreciated Thank you * It's a little bit dicey, but the living room is also considered as a room. But in this case for an application I really would advice he gets a new place den u put in the application. If it was to b a 2bedroom with a living room that should b fine. * I am afraid that won't count ooo, dey don't care... Dey need u to get everything right at the time of ur application. The future is for you dey bliv in the present Get it right once and for all.if your husband can move into a one room/living room before u apply would be preferable... Cheers |

Ayotunde71: Dear all,
I read most of the posts on the previous pages and i must say they have been really helpful. Thank you to everyone that has been taking time to share their experience(s) on this platform.
I am preparing to apply for spouse visa to join my husband in the UK as soon as possible. He holds an ILR, he was previously married and divorced before we got married a month ago (He has the decree absolute).
As part of the accommodation requirement, he currently lives with a friend in a single room self contain rented by the friend (the friends name appears on the tenancy agreement) but their name both appears on the internet payment document (utility bill). He has been planning to get an apartment for us as soon as my visa is approved. Do you think we could use his current address for the application and write a letter stating we would get a bigger apartment for us as soon as i get my visa? What other advice can you give based on your experience?
Also, for the financial requirements, he meets the requirements of £18,600 annually. Do you think he has to still show some more money he has currently in his account? if yes, do you have a rough idea of how much please?
Furthermore, do i have to show any financial document that belongs to me since he is my sponsor?
Finally, i read in some of the previous posts about posting documents to Sheffield, this remains unclear as some were saying it is needed while other said it is an old rule. Can someone please explain the current situation better?
Thanks in anticipation of your responses. *Let him get a new place , then you can apply. If I apply with his present address it il b a refuser. *If he meets the financial requirements he those not need to show additional money * You don't have to show any financial documents, he his you sponsor * I have no idea since the system changed... All the best |

[quote author=Googledrive12 post=93754464]Hello guys I have been following this thread for sometime now waiting for the right time to ask questions about things I don't understand in previous post . I and my spouse are getting married next week. Which will enable me apply for the U.K. Spouse visa. But my challenge is that she has just worked for 5 months at her current job and she is moving to a new job in October. I spoke to her about the 6months work pay slips but she said it doesn't matter if she change jobs what is only needed is consistency That as long as she is not out of Job within 6 months then we are fine . Is she correct on this ?
No she is not correct...Her payslip most b 6months from same job to apply or 12months payslips from present to previous job... My little cent, Tell her to get the last payslip to sum up 6months,apply and den she can change job Cheers |

Pamelapencil: Please I need help. I have been reading and reading but I have not seen a case like mine.
My Guy got a job in the UK last year, and was asked to resume work on 8th June, 2019. Due, to the love we shared he paid my bride price on 28th May, 2019. And husband travelled to the UK last year(June 7, 2019).
The issue here is that, Corona has really scattered the plans of him coming back, and we don't know how feasible his coming back and going back will be, not knowing the Quarantine rules. My parents and his parents are suggesting I go meet him in UK, and this is to save cost( we are young and starting life).
My Questions now are 1) Can I tidy a marriage certificate from a court and backdate it to the date we did our traditional marriage?
2) If its possible, which court will be preferred? Can I do it in Enugu or Onitsha?
3) If I am able to get the certificate, will pictures matter while applying?.
I miss my husband so much and we want to save cost. 1-Traditional you are married , but I don't think you can apply with dat... But plz don't back date anytyn. It is not easy as u think and it I'll give u a 10years ban... BCS dey verify everything 2- it's possible but not advisable 3- yes it does mata Please don't miss him too much and do the wrong thing.b patient till when your husband can get back to nija and go to court for your ceremony. Ur self and hubby,4 witnesses 2from each family u r good to go. You don't have to wear a wedding gown or do a reception. So u cuttyn cost already... I understand how u feel about the distance but patience is the key. |

Don't tread a part u will regret later... Your sister is the best bet here if your mum can't come over to help you. I give u a life experience of a friend . Same country as yours, Made this same arrangement with a friend from nija to come over to enable her work reasonable shifts for five months while she accommodate and feeds her in return she care for her kid.she works 4days a week d friend 3days a week... She got to the UK, she that was brought in started work the next week and Neva did the child care for a day. Stories of her one family back in nija is sick and needs money started rolling in. Dax how my friend watched 5months rolled over without getting help from the friend... When u bring your bosses daughter over she can chux to work out of the plan and their is nothing you can do.or she come even get boyfriend and chux to move over to his house , what will you do. Na u lux b that. But your sister cannot jux abandone u and your baby, blood dey say is thinker than water. U self think am ,u go chux to give an outsider a better life living family . You can't win the case if the news comes out later... And ur timing 8-2, what if the minder get class to attend and you need her to look after the baby... Who go solve the matter( in zlantans voice ) in other news bring your your mum or sister Think about it |

LuvlyIva: Honestly she is discouraging me ever since I got this 200k monthly job. She keeps complaing all the time. UK is hard, will you be able to work longer hours. Will u be able to do care jobs, u can't further y studies here, the fees is very expensive but, a friend told me I can collect govt loan to further my studies when I get permanent stay. ( Pls how true is this?) these are all she keeps telling me since she got her permanent residence. She started advicing me to stay put, that she can be visiting for now. I am confused If she started telling to stay back bcs she recently got her PR, then something most be wrong. Just Maybe she no longer want you around BCS I see no reason for her to tell u to stay back y she comes visiting, for God sake you u guys r not dating. How does she expect the marriage to work that way. When single folks are trying to pull there partner over . Then as regards ur ? If u should move over or not BCS of 13th month pay. Life is not all abt money alone, think abt the future of your kids. Ask your self is Nigeria going to get better the answer is NO, were you moving to are there room for improvement YES... with the 200k u r recieving now with no security and basic infrastructure for u I need not mensure the rest... Now that you have the opportunity make use of it... except madam no want u around ooo . |
