Hello mamas in the house, pls I need advice. I have a 7 months old daughter and it took me 5yrs of trying b4 I finally conceived her glory be to God. My challenge now is that I have not had my monthly cycle since I had my baby. I read online that it happens to some mother's that do exclusive breastfeeding and that it go for as long as a year. Pls I need advice from experienced mamas and also suggestion on what I can do to trigger my monthly cycle. May God bless us with our heart desires. |
@omaibaji and cherrychi it's funny to me as well when I remembered my act during labor. I just wanted everything to be documented. Also I just couldn't control my poo. Lol. In all I thank God for safe delivery and wish other pregnant msma's safe delivery. |
We got to d hospital around 9am and was examined by a midwife, she monitored the baby's heart rate for an hour before inserting pitocin for induction, waited for over 6hrs b4 started feeling slight contraction. She examined me and said my cervix was still not open but the cervix is soft. She inserted another pitocin and again the waiting game. This time around d contraction was frequent and stronger, during the contraction I threw up twice and was also pooing. She examined me after 6hrs and said I was 5cm dilated. I was then transfered to the delivery suit, by then I was having double contraction at a time. The midwive then asked me the option of painkiller I want and I opted for morphine. The midwife that delivered me is a very young lady. She was just pacifying me and encouraging me. By the time she checked me again I was already 10cm so she started to prep me for delivery. I started feeling d urge to poo and the poo was actually coming out and she kept on cleaning me and later covered my an*s with wool. Then she asked me to push on my next contraction. I started pushing and soon she said she could see the babies hair. because of the pain from the contraction I was closing my legs and my husband and midwife had to hold my leg. So I started to push again and when I heard the baby's head was out I had to remind my husband of the camcorder for recording (cos we have to send videos and pics back to nigeria). So had another push and at exactly 3:30am on sunday 21st february, I was delivered of my pretty Angel weighing 3.1kg. Thank God for safe and easy delivery. Had little tears but in less that 2hrs I gave birth I was out and about the whole hospital. Wish the remaining #teamfeb and other months easy and safe delivery. |
Greetings to my e-sisters. My EDD from Nigeria was 17th of Feb and when I got to England they changed it to 23rd of Feb(based on their own scan). I no mind cos baby will arrive when she is ready irrespective of EDD. So on Tuesday 16th of Feb, I had my antenatal and complained to midwive that baby's movement has reduced. So she arranged for me to go for triage at the hospital to check babies heartbeat. I did and was placed on monitor for over an hour then they also did scan for me. The midwive that did the scan is not experienced at all. She just did it to confirm if their is enough fluid in me. She was like ur babies position is awkward, she is heads down and her back is facing ur tummy that's why the movement was reduced. The gave their report and told me to come back if I still don't feel any improvement. I went home and started eating pineapple, kpekusing and doing all things possible to induce labour. So on Friday, I went back to the hospital for the same complain, this time around they did the monitoring and scan and also checked if I was dilating. They told me my cervix is still close, and because I have had two episodes of complaining abt babys movement that I hv the option of induction or I wait till when labor comes on its own (by this time i was already 40wks3days according to naija and 39wks 3days according to them). So I opted for induction and d available date for me was 27th Feb. When I got home I noticed mucus discharge and later at night I got a call from the hospital that I shld come for induction on Sat 20th Feb. Was happy to hear that so early in d morning myself and hubby packed my bag and car seat and went to d hospital. Sorry for d Long story watch out for the second part. |
