Mine(MTN) has never been deducted b4 (though it's not my preferred line cos I use Vmobile and glo)..
I've always been lucky and seem to know whenever there's a problem with their system, especially at night.. I've also eaten Vmobile and Mtel's money on several occasions too, it's really sweet whenever this happens..

The only network that I've not been able to enjoy their money for free so far is glo, it seems their security level is the highest IMO.

You need to get the internet settings in order to be able to use vmobile as gprs modem. Maybe the insider could help with that.

o' boy, i tried my best to use all the cash but no way.. i called till i felt pains in my ear, that was when i realized that mobile phones are ticking time bombs waiting to explode, i actually felt the radiation in my brain & inner ear, never stayed so long on a mobile phone b4.. i hope MTN gets this kinda fault regularly cos i'll use my handsfree next time it happens & menn, NO MERCY THIS TIME.. Someone i know had same good fortune & used the cash to load Super booster card, now using for business centre.

MTN will become fast once people start paying for it.. i'm aware that a lot of people are already using it as gprs modem connected with their computer & executing heavy downloads. once they start charging, i beleve it'll be blazing fast..

this MTN bashing is getting too much.. why dont we praise them for once.. i think they've done well in wap service delivery cos their gprs is the only one that allows full internet and it's still free.
another area i'll praise them for is the recent mess they had with their billing system, i woke up and saw over 100,000 naira in my account and boy was i happy to have used 17,000 before the system was repaired..
at least i don chop their money..

what you need to do is to flash the phone with a new firmware.
let's know the model of your phone and the exact problem you're experiencing

All my ranting here's only gonna help MTN to improve somehow..
