cashreport:Hmmmm, don't ban him pls. abagworo is getting frustrated; political frustration. The failed handwriting about APC in this part of Nigeria is beginning to be clearer before the abagworos. Frustration can bring so many negative things from a man. Only frustration could make abagworo write the silly stuff he wrote up there. No body succeeds in politics without the support of home base. OBJ succeeded because he was a soldier, fellow soldiers catapulted OBJ from Gashua Prisons to Aso Rock, and because of the situation that obtained in 1998. Rotimi A. hmmmmmmmmmm, e no work. |
abagoro:You wanna show you are mean? Do not let them show you that there are the meaner - and even the meanest of them. Oro oooooooooo... How dare you type this in a civil forum? ![]() |
But wait o, how does this APC believe it will win elections with the current hardship which APC inflicted upon Nigeria? Please don't give that lousy excuse that PDP destroyed the economy. Barrack Obama and Jonathan's PDP faced the worst economic depression in recent history in 2008, Obama made the US come out of that depression. Jonathan govt did not even feel the depression. |
abagoro:Friend, I don't work for Udenwa. Udenwa can't even work against Gov. Okorocha. Rochas Okorocha has been working against himself. I am for the good of my Imo state. I want a situation where Imo state will not be a state with areas outside the state capital remain with the 19th century infrastructure, while the state capital, Owerri, is provided by govt with 21st century infrastructure and rapid development. I don't want a disproportionate use of funds that should have been for provision of modern development infrastructure in all of Imo state to be continue to be used by Okorocha govt on Owerri alone. If population bursts in Owerri, the town bursts These days, the way Rochas Okorocha talks Owerri, Owerri, and Owerri only, in his public speeches, including the last one at Shoprite opening ceremony; (observed the huge and frightful crowd in that Shoprite opening?) these days, the way Rochas practically lumps nearly all his govt's development infrastructures in Owerri, people now believe that Rochas Okorocha is having a troubling obsession for Owerri. In fact, Rochas Okorocha breathes, easts and dreams Owerri since he attempted in 2012 to build roads in other areas outside Owerri. Strange that a governor does not even realize that he is working against himself. Less than 25% of Imo state population live in Okorocha's Owerri. In other words, by dumping nearly all his development infrastructures only in Owerri, Okorocha is satisfying a minority; and that's why Okorocha attracts the greatest acrimony from Igbos than other Igbo governors, despite all the modern development infrastructures he provides in Owerri. |
Sharrap, Produce the hand-written letter from Ese to Yinusa -- or close your trap. |
Has Ooni seen any country whose political structure was created by soldiers from only one part of the country, as in Nigeria? Has the Ooni seen any country whose constitution was supervised by soldiers from only one part of the country, as was done in Nigeria? Has the Ooni seen a country where a part of it suddenly set aside the constitution of the country and adopted another criminal justice system, for example Sharia criminal justice system, as in Nigeria? Has the Ooni seen a country where people from the southern part have mostly been chased away from the north by mongers of sharia criminal laws, and by religious terrorists fighting for a country administered with sharia criminal laws, as in Nigeria? Tufiakwa, making a boy boy - a Mr Simpleton, to become an Ooni. |
Ooni of Ife goofed - highest before the Sultan of Sokoto by saying that one Nigeria of today shall be forever and ever. Only God can say what is forever, not man There is no country in the world created to last forever. Sultan and his Muslim north even created a new country in the twelve sharia states, but still attach on one Nigeria because of monetary gains. Tufiakwa, Ooni must have made illegal wealth through one Nigeria and now talks RUBBISH about Nigeria. |
olajide8:If all the ongoing killings and destabilization in Rivers state are going on in your southwest... Well thank your Rotimi A. for inviting all these locusts to eat up people in his Rivers state. Rotimi became governor for the first time without his name on the ballot papers. Since then, he lost the fact that a politician needs to be supported by the majority of the people he serves before he can succeed. |
Lol for money politics. Hiding behind APC, Fulani wants control of most of the oil producing areas of the Niger delta, period. These elections had since been done in Rivers state, won by Rivers people - not by none indegenes of Rivers state. Those who won could have been in office for only four years. So all the hassles and killings in these reruns could have been imagined and avoided. |
shamecurls:Spotted: a 19th century ethnic bigot. |
Okorocha has in four-and-half years transformed the city of Owerri to its splendid looks today well beyond any person could have imagined before 2011. But that not withstanding, Okorocha attracts more animosity - more than any other Igbo governor. Why? Because he was satisfying a minority at the expense of the majority in Imo state, after Okorocha got reduced to Mayor of Owerri by the crowd he surrounded himself with in nearly all departments of Imo government. That's after he built rural roads and dualized some urban roads outside Owerri. Okorocha was bound to fail politically. It's left to be seen if has learned what has been responsible for the huge animosity towards him despite his huge successes in Owerri. |
Okorocha surrounded himself with a set of people, including Ejiogu, who would fight for all five universities and polytechnics in Imo state to remain in Owerri, and even want any more that may come. People who don't see any thing wrong if Imo state government continues to build flyovers where cheaper roundabouts can be, build dual carriage bye pass roads, bridges and new roads even where no one lives in Owerri, yet wouldn't care a hoot if the rest of Imo state is being flooded due to absence of common drainage system, and with abandoned road works; crowd who can't see any thing wrong if Imo state government builds new state libraries and public Squares, Cultural centres, Ecumenical centres, etc., all over Owerri, while the rest of Imo state remain virgin; people who don't see any thing wrong if Imo state government spends 90% of her CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT BUDGET in developing the STATE CAPITAL's infrastructure, because they mistake CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT BUDGET for BUDGET FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE STATE CAPITAL. Okorocha surrounded himself with people who hardly know, and have no reason to know where the other towns outside the state capital are located in Imo state. |
Is this sign board strange? English language is rarely the language in the north of Nigeria. Many foolish people believe that Nigeria is one country. Very low percentage of northern Nigerians understand English language. Even northern Nigeria politicians communicate with their northern citizens in Hausa language. |
@Abagworo, What do these suggest? The only road that leads to IMSUTH, Orlu, built by Udenwa government remains non-motorable since Okorocha became governor. Students of IMSUTH have protested over the road, and even took their protests to Owerri; yet no remedy till today. What does that suggest regarding Rochas' self-declared war against Orlu; apart from his dismantling the existing Orlu sports stadium and refusal to build the Prince Hotel in Orlu, after he started similar Hotel projects in Okigwe and Owerri? As you confuse small children on NL with your pix/video of the about 4.5km roads dualized by Okorocha government in Orlu, after which he scratched many more and abandoned them, and retired to Owerri, you aren't doing your friend Rochas any good. Okorocha as governor is cultivating lots of trouble with the people of Orlu and Ideato. Not even one government establishment, except secondary schools, exists in the whole of Ideato where Rocha comes from. The IMSUTH road should have been the first road to be done by Okorocha government if he meant well for Orlu. Amaigbo road - the most used road in Orlu, Okorocha government scratched it for about 400meters and abandoned it. Even the nearby drainage system started by former Gov Ikwechagh, Rochas refused to complete, and floods that also threaten all the way to Ideato have been having a field day here with every slightest rainfall. After decades the Akokwa-Orlu road was abandoned by the federal government, Udenwa government reconstructed the road. After that, it faced the second road linking many communities in Ideato and to Orlu through Ugbelle in Ideato, near Rochas home town. Gutters on both sides of the road were built all the way to Ugbelle. Even Ohakim government worked on the road. All that was left was replace the old and completely worn out bridge across Urashi river in Ugbelle, then asphalt. Ohakim left. Rochas government has left the millions of Naira spent so far on the road to wash away, instead of completing the road. Meanwhile, Okorocha builds ring roads and flyovers, and drainage systems, as well as build new roads where no one lives in Owerri - in anticipation. In the other 35 states in Nigeria, no governor governs his state as if everyone in the state lives in the state capital, the way Rochas has been governing Imo state since he joined APC. |
Abagworo:Udenwa did asphalt/dig gutters for more than 15 of Orlu urban roads, many of the roads were opened by Orlu LG council long-long before Udenwa became governor. Those Council roads got asphalt for the first time under Udenwa government. Arthur Nzeribe never brought a single development project to Orlu lga, that's why he was easily dethroned in 2007. Udenwa alone couldn't have succeeded in removing Nzeribe from the Senate if Nzribe had done any meaningful development project for Orlu zone when he was in the Senate. The same manner, we now point out to your friend, Gov.Okorocha, about his responsibilities in Orlu as governor, but you see it as hateful and lies; and Rochas believes he is punishing his old enemies in Orlu. If Rochas continues with his abandoning of road works with dust as punishment for people on Orlu, he may get benched politically after 2019. You show again this your Christmas video of Ihioma Road dualized by Okorocha government from Orlu ITC Park to Banana junction - distance of about 3km. Other three roads dualized add up to about 1.5km - namely, Amaigbo Road 400 meters; Owus Avenue about 400meters; Asika Ilobi Avenue about 300meters; and Enugu Road about 400meters. Until you stop being a Merchant of Lies as you repeat your falsehoods and half-truths, these facts must be repeated. Mind you, all we ask Okorocha is asphalt the roads his contractors left in hazardous conditions for four years running. The Orlu stadium he dismantled, no new one yet; the Prince Hotel he acquired land for since 2012, nothing; the only state government establishment in Orlu, IMSUTH, which brings a few govt Naira to Orlu, Rochas has seen to it that IMSUTH has stopped admitting fresh students, because it no longer has facilities. But at the same time, Okorocha is opening many medical facilities in Owerri, facilities that could have boosted the accreditation of IMSUTH if added to IMSUTH. I am aware that you are aware that nearly every body from Orlu is aware that since Rochas Okorocha joined APC, he has turned to become the Mayor of Owerri, instead of the Governor of Imo state. |
fyneguy:You are calculating the monetary gains Tinubu has made. But Oyeyemi is calculating the huge political loss Tinubu has incurred from having Buhari as president of Nigeria. All of us in the south of Nigeria, including Tinubu are losers from Tinubu's actions of going to beg Buhari who had retired from politics to come back and run for the presidency in 2015. Do you understand? Above all, APC is now the property of northern Nigeria politicians. |
Synzu:Where in Orlu is your home, please? And Abagworo has been depositing all the lies and half-truths against your home town Orlu, on a thread "Few Pics from Imo State" on NL. Few people to counter Abagworo's lies. |
Lol, el-Rufy has gone off road. Religious Faith can drive only small minds off road. |
Kudos Chigozie, more grease to your elbow. You just told others who go to the university to do cult business that they are plain STUPEEED. |
truthspeaks:No, don't mind the northern foxes seeking for solidarity with.... Misplaced priority. They ought to have marched in solidarity with southern Nigerians seeking for return of regional government system with fiscal federalism to Nigeria, to enable peace and development be in Nigeria. But the north's multiple advantages it gains from the political structure skewed in favour of northern Nigeria wouldn't allow them go for such solidarity march. |
Abagworo:Friend, No hate talk. We ask for our rights, not privilege. In Orlu urban Lga, Okorocha government opened only two short roads - uncompleted. In Orlu urban lga, there are too many roads opened up by the LG council many years ago, perhaps when Rocha might have been in school, but these roads have no asphalt on them, not withstanding that they are nearly fully built with houses on both sides. Udenwa govt and NDDC asphalted some of them. These council roads not yet asphalted constitute no hazards. What worries people are the roads scratched by Okorocha contractors, with red sand poured on top - abandoned for four years running. The two new short roads Okorocha government opened in Orlu but uncompleted: one road that takes off from Ihioma road (ITC Park) to Carrot point on Umuna road - about 300 meters; another road taking off from Amaigbo road (opposite St. Joseph Catholic Church) to International market - length about 500 meters - not completed. Sometime last year, you even asked for the completion of the road from ITC Park to Carrot point. Okorocha government dualized the existing roads you show here in Orlu urban lga - total of about 4 km, not new roads. |
President Buhari says he will conduct a study on the origin and sponsorship of Boko Haram? But Boko Haram started immediately after 12 northern Nigeria states adopted to use sharia criminal codes. Boko Haram says it is fighting for a country administered with sharia criminal codes. So why waste more money on investigation/ |
muteeu:Did you read the portion of this Buhari's message which called for the activities of the conference to be embraced by all Nigerians irrespective of religious faith? Have you ever heard any Christian Association in a conference in Nigeria asking for their activities be embraced by all Nigerians irrespective of Nigerians' religious faith? Never. |
peacengine:Yes, but Buhari must fail with this plot as others also failed. Nigeria is a country roughly equally divided between Muslims and non Muslims, only a crude and semi-literate president in a democracy would nurse any ambition to Islamize Nigeria. The more Buhari pushes his Islamic agenda, the more his push is breaking Nigeria. |
President Buhari, the ideas that will lead to development of Nigeria are already known: the ideas are return Nigeria to regional government system with fiscal federalism. But will Buhari ever buy this idea? - never. Buhari sees oil and oil producing areas as conquered commodities that his north must plunder. Soldiers from Buhari north wrongly used land mass as criterion snd proliferated 20 states in one northern Nigeria, but created only 17 states in the once two regions southern Nigeria. That gave Buhari north an undue large political representation through which the Buhari north literally dictate to the rest of Nigeria Thus the north cannot subscribe to ideas on political reforms that can make Nigerians peaceful and prosperity for all in Nigeria, including Biafrans. |
Many people from the southwest who voted for Buhari said that they knew that Buhari is an economic illiterate, yet they voted him against Jonathan. Now Buhari tells them that Economic crises in Nigeria is a blessing in disguise. What a calamity. |
Msss Deception Continues. Even the most rich countries fight economic crisis until their economies stabilize once again. But Buhari from the poor world tells his people that economic crisis is a blessing in disguise. |
Kudos to Ubah for understanding that Charity begins at home. There's one gov in Imo who inflicts punishment upon people in his home constituency, while he uses the funds of the 27 lgas in his state to build the state capital into a city to touch the sky. For want of what else to build in his state capital, the gov. duplicates or even triplicates same infrastructure in his state capital, never to extend any government infrastructure beyond the state capital. |
And Buhari has fight against corruption as his government's torch light. I talkam during election period, Buhari as an aged man shall be on bed as younger Nigerians steal the country dry, and Buhari will wake up only for a belated reaction. From crooks padding the 2016 budget, to oil thefts, to these corrupt employment methods in the public service, what did Buhari know going on? |
Buhari administration and Violence. These elections had since been done in Rivers state. Suddenly, because APC wants to take over oil producing areas, all elections in oil producing areas were upturned. Now see where we are. Anyway, "even if it amounts to killing 20,000,000 Niger Deltans so as to have peace to tap oil proceeds, that's fine," this is what one Fulani Federal legislator said on the floor of parliament a few years ago. |
Good soldiers. But fighting Boko Haram is like fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan. |
AstraNetwork:Ex-governor Ohakim was promising us to start the Orlu regional SURFACE water supply Scheme until he lost office to Rochas Okorocha. Orlu regional SURFACE water supply Scheme is the last of the five regional SURFACE water supply Schemes Imo state governments from late Mbakwe till Ohakim have pursued. Udenwa and Ararume tried with the help of the federal government to complete the Okigwe regional SURFACE water supply Scheme, though yet to function. Owerri regional SURFACE water supply Scheme has since functioned. These water projects in Okigwe and Owerri are modern systems to supply cities with pipe borne water, not water borehole. Concessioning two old and rustic water boreholes in Orlu to supply water to a population of about 300,000 people? Long story!! Any Imo state government willing to provide genuine water supply system to Orlu shall start to build the Orlu regional SURFACE water supply project. IMSG designed the project to supply running water to nearly all the lgas in Orlu district. Same way the water Schemes for Okigwe and Owerri were designed. |
