The most rich countries in the world today have no crude oil; some of thew countries are even landlocked - eg Switzerland.

Make una continue to fight for FAILED One Nigeria because you are most diffident, you don't believe that some parts of Nigeria can survive without crude oil proceeds. I laugh in Malay again. Next in Chinese.

Nnamdi Kanu is not your enemy, he only told you the truth: the truth is that One Nigeria has failed the millions of people it was crafted to uplift their humanity. So it is time to try other countries from Nigeria.

I keep saying to you people, if you really are serious, go back to SE and develop the south east. The biggest problem apart from corrupt leaders is that all of you are developing other peoples economies Uk, USA, Lagos, Abuja at the expense of your own. Do you guys not realsie that you are the biggest reason why Lagos is what it is today? It is your taxes that has given fashola the money to do the stuff they say he has done that has made him what he is today. If you stayed in Se and paid your taxes there your governors would have more money to invest.

I laugh at igbos who talk about Biafra from exile...jokers! The day the Ibos start returning home is the day I say Ok these people are serious o!!
Did you reply to the quote you forwarded? You simple rambled about like a half-educated fella.

I give you the undeserved honor of a reply - for the sake of record keeping:

1, have you not read former governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio's famous statement about federal government's promise of reconstruction for the war-ravaged eastern region which was not fulfilled, but construction after the war rather took place in the other areas of Nigeria not ravaged by the civil war, especially in the southwest region - Lagos?

Beginning the early 1970s, Nigeria's successive federal govts refused to establish economy-boosting infrastructures in the southeast;

but Nigeria's government were establishing its economy-boosting infrastructures in other regions of Nigeria.

Thus to engage in wealth accumulation, many Igbos and other easterners were constrained to migrate to outside the old east to other areas of Nigeria where modern development infrastructures were provided by the federal government.

For example, and worse, until return to civil rule in 1999, military leaders of Nigeria (except Obasanjo) left the road from Onitsha to Aba to Portharcourt to Calabar nearly in a state of decay for decades;
even locals who dared to repair the road were arrested and accused of tampering with federal roads. The same condition existed for most of the federal roads in the east then - to a lesser degree today.
Aba that was then becoming the Japan of Africa in goods manufacture by imitation started to be deserted. Other southeast cities started to be deserted. That is mostly behind the exodus of easterners to other parts of Nigeria.

2, Only a most semi-literate dude would say "if Igbo had stayed in the southeast to develop the area," so long as we are in One Nigeria where everywhere in Nigeria is expected to be home to every Nigerian.
Or is London being developed by Londoners alone? No. British people and their migrant citizens develop London, but no Londoner can dare call any British citizen a guest in London. Unlike some most backward chimps do call their fellow citizens guests in their areas of ethnic origin, yet foolishly yearn for one Nigeria.

Finally, despite all the attention the areas outside the old eastern region got from the federal government, human development indices, which count far more than infrastructural development indices, are highest in the old eastern region, compared to rest of Nigeria. This is due to the entrepreneurial skills of the easterners.

A most semi-literate dud would say Igbos needed to return to the southeast in order to get Biafra. That makes no sense, and has no place in the history of formation of nations. When Nigeria was freed from colonial masers, did Nigerians have to troop home from abroad as a condition for freedom? No.

People like you have been silenced by IPOB, I mean those of you that used to shout on Nigeria's online publications: "Igbos return to your erosion ravaged east;" "lagoon treatment for Igbos if they refuse to do so so", "Igbos are strangers in our midst;" yes you have been silenced.

You are now struggling with devising all the blackmail tactics in the books to retain Igbo in Nigeria.

Rarely respond to threads like these....but...

If we break Nigeria...into how many countries do we break up into.?

That is the question...and that is why I as a minority is opposed to Nigeria's breakup....because it would be bad for minority tribes like mine.

Of course...I cannot pretend all is well. I have read my history....and I see how things are going.

It is just that...if we wanted to split...1966/67 would have been a good time.Then...every region had its source of cash....and sustenance. Not now...where we are all dependent on oil....a split means a big fight for oil.

Yes....Sudan and South Sudan....which happened under the auspices of the UN...and which took ten years...and which ensured that Sudan still had some oil...and almost immediately...Sudan increased transit fees for South Sudan oil piped thru their territory.
There is a major tribe near you with whom you share similar culture, perhaps similar religious faith, similar life aspirations, similar traditions, and other similar traits. Your tribe can form a country with the larger tribe. You must not aspire to keep millions of others in other major tribes down in One Nigeria for your selfish interest that translates to your imagined protection you get for your small tribe under One Nigeria.

Greece and Turkey can never share same country in other to accommodate the interests of tiny Cyprus. Cyprus remains a sovereign nation. There are many nations on earth with less than 100,000 population. What matters in having a country is how happy with, and well-cared for by your country, not how rich or large or hugely populated your country is.

You want to fight because of crude oil before split? Note that the most rich countries of the world today have no crude oil, some of them, like the Swiss Federation, are even landlocked.

One other problem is that Hausa/Fulani-loyal soldiers recreated Nigeria's political structure, such that Hausa/Fulani now use the undue excess political representation it draws from the undue large number of states which the soldiers proliferated in the far north to lord it over the rest of Nigeria; to the extent that they can now openly state that the oil in the Nigerdelta belongs to northern Nigeria.

This Hausa/Fulani arrogance is now unbearable.

Call Ezepromoe for as long as possible, you cannot sit behind your PC and determine wether im Ikwerre or not. Take or leave it, your heartache.

As for biafra, it can be likened to a man who has set his eyes on owning a property primarily on assumptions that neighbours will gift him money. When his hopes are dashed, he turns around to pour invectives at his neighbours.

If pro-Biafra Igbos sincerely want to be taken seriously on this biafra issue, thay should work within the framework of the 5SE states. I repeat, if they are to be considered as being serious, they should work with what they truly have. At this age, it is technically impossible either by coercion or whatever to marry SE with SS as a large percentage of us are suspicious of igbos(with good reason), simply uninterested and see it simply as a change of nomenclature from what Nigeria is.
cc:mandax
Nigeria has tapped crude oil for more than 50 years from the SS? Today, there's is neither electricity not petroleum products to power the country. But. despite blockade, Igbos built and ran refineries throughout the civil war.

So what makes you believe, like Fulani divide-and-rule people tell you that Igbo wants to capture your crude oil in the SS in Biafra?
If by any chance you are truly from SS, you are one of the few remaining victims of Fulani divide-and-rule politics.
.Fulani doesn't believe that north can survive without crude oil. Igbo can survive and excel in Biafra without crude oil.

If by any chance you are truly from the SS, or even a Yoruba, you need to be taken to an Almajiri under a tree in Kano to be taught lessons on Nigeria's failed political process which Fulani still struggles to maintain because it profits most from SS crude oil.

Yoruba is the most upset tribe in Nigeria about Biafra. The reason is that Yoruba is most divided between Christian and Muslim Yoruba.

People ask me why i do not support Biafra even though i'm a proud Nwa afo; A homogenous igbo society would be as boring asf. Why? Let's overlook the pretenses for a second, and all the false sense of brotherhood. The bitter truth is that we hate ourselves. A typical igboman is more accommodatiing to a stranger he's met just for a day than a brother he's known his entire life. We feel we are in competition against ourselves always. A typical visit to any igbo village would confirm this truth. Most of the youngmen are running far away from home because most people at home would do anything to make sure they do not succeed. An igboman would prefer to help a foreigner get a job in his office than his own kin.
The crab mentality is the bane of the typical igbo society.

You do not need to look far to see this. You remember the Nairaland Biafrans boycott? and how many of us swore to never ever visit this forum again? and how we went ahead to start our own 'igbo' forums. grin

Those seemingly igbo forums are a typical example of what Biafra would look like if it ever comes to pass.

I followed those forums. From Biafra Republic to Ala Biafra and then Biafra town. The first few weeks every member was high on Biafra. People were trooping in like crazy. One of the forums even had up to 2000 signups in a day. Even Nairaland would be jealous of that stats. Promises were made. Loud members were ranting on how they were going to build a forum that would beat Nairaland hands down. They promised huge sums.

Few weeks down the line, the forum is still active. some members joined, some couldn't bear it and bummed off. The forum remained active. More promises made and none kept.

2 months down the line, the forums have turned to graveyards. All the flare and plomp are gone. people start wondering what the hell they were doing here in the first place. all members flee and return back to the Nigerian forums they all love and leave the wonderful biafran forums to die a slow and painful death.

Biafra republic that used to have 3000 members online can't even boast of 3 users online. Biafratown is really pathetic but i must commend the admin. Dude posted 3000 topics all by himself grin. Ala biafra is dead and gone. embarassed

This is a true reflection of what biafra would look like. After the pomb and flare, the reality starts to bite and people go back to their vomits. But this time around, they might not be as lucky and the vomit might no longer be available to swallow back.

Biafra is boring and i want no part of it. cool
Dude, you just described yourself, and thought you were describing the average Igbo man or woman.

You hate yourself, that is why you might want to remain a second class citizen in one Nigeria, become converted to Arabian life style and religion.

Igbo doesn't hate Igbo. The effect of the lost civil war made some Igbos suspicious of of some Igbo. People like you are the Igbo saboteurs who made some Igbos start to be suspicious of their fellow Igbos.

Ignorance is a disease. U don't know that Igbos merely troop to Nairaland to sell their cases for Biafra to rest of Nigeria. In Biafra online publication, it shall be like a monologue, that is Igbos talking about Biafra and Igbos responding. What do agitators for Biafra gain from such monologue?
Guy park well, make intelligent Igbos waka pass.

You may be living in Lagos, and wouldn't like to lose your earthly business and landed property with breaking dysfunctional Nigeria. Do you ever wonder what shall be the fate of your offspring in one Nigeria?
Guy listen, IPOB so far has silenced those who intimidate and humiliate you Igbo Lagosian: since IPOB demonstrations, those who tell Igbos to go back to their erosion-ravaged southeast, those who threaten you with Lagoon treatment, those who call you visitor in Lagos, visitor in a town in Nigeria which you call your country, they have been silenced, now they struggle for how to keep Igbo in one Nigeria, no more molestation, no more intimidation for your lot.

Nigeria was fraudulently restructured to have the north steer Nigerians like sheep; but southern people are either not clever enough, or too apolitical to understand.

No federal country ever used land mass as yard-stick to create new federating units from the old federating units, except Nigeria.

One region-one-northern federating unit at independence was turned by northern soldiers into 20 new federating units (states);
while two regions, two-southern federating units at independence were forced to turn out only 17 new federating units (states).

Fulani-controlled North of Nigeria thus remains over-represented in every political process of Nigeria, thus dictates the tune.

Nigeria remains the only country in the world where 1 yielded 20, while two yielded 17.

It can never occur a situation where military people from the south of the US divide the large state of Texas into four new states, but divide other smaller states into two only.

Nigeria remains a fraud since the last state creation in 1996.

You don't know what Sovereignty means.

You don't know what Terrorist means.

A nation remains sovereign with the tacit agreement of people in it. If a large group in a nation object to the sovereignty of the nation, a referendum is used to ascertain the next direction. Force is not used to keep a nation sovereign, else, the old Soviet Union with all of Russia's Nuclear bombs could have kept the Sovereignty of the Soviet Union.

A Terrorist is a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

How does Nnamdi Kanu come into the definition above? He had not used any unlawful violence against Nigeria or anybody.

Asking for secession is not intimidation of civilians.

As for your fear of war, perhaps you live in the Western World, the peace and freedom you enjoy there, millions of young people sacrificed their lives to win the peace and freedom from the Nazis and other war mongers, the same way millions of Igbos sacrificed their lives to free Biafra from Nigeria.

– The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar, has been a role model for the Airforce personnel in the frontline

– The CAS visited the two states recently after a similar visit in December 2015

– NAF personnel used the visit to show some of their assets, arms, ammunition and contributions to bringing lasting peace to the region

The personnel of the Nigerian Airforce in Borno and Adamawa states were in high spirits as the CAS visited them during the Easter celebrations.

No body asked the question: why insurgency in Nigeria?

We go fight tire with fighting, while Sharia Criminal Codes mongers in one part of Nigeria make us return to the dark ages.

What does Boko Haram says it's fighting for? A country governed with sharia criminal codes. Which section of Nigeria adopted the use of Sharia criminal codes? Northernmost party of Nigeria.
