The Lion of Ubima would always be remembered in the books of history as part of that revolutionary team that stood there grounds and stirred Nigeria away from hitting the rocks. His doggedness would always be a reference when political doggedness and charisma re being discussed.


An icon who single offhandedly shattered PDP into crumbs and within a year, reduced the Ineffectual Buffon into a Nobody across Nigeria`s Geo-Political zones excluding his own personal Geo-political zone.

Patriotism at its height!

Lets applaud the man to whom honour is due.


In 100 years from today, Ameachi`s 100 feet statue will stand so high in the city of Port-Harcourt and a replicate in Lagos which will stand tall in the middle of the Atlantic, and a generation would be told that "There was once a man" and history will continue from there.


Its an Honour to be part of that generation that physically witnessed the Life and times of the Lion of Ubima

Why do you like contradicting yourself? You boldly claim that Udenwa never tarred any road in Orlu urban. Who constructed the Orlu-Akokwa road. Who tarred the Amaigbo road, Owus avenue, Ihioma road, the new Orlu-Owerri road, Umuaka-Nkwerre road and other laudable projects to numerous to mention.
Second, Arthur Nzeribe as Senator of Orlu zone since the second republic and before his replacement was always counter-productive in things that concerns the zone. Please provide the links to the so-called project your benefactor Authur Nzeribe attracted to Orlu zone in his over 30years as Senator. You made mention of NDDC projects sited in areas like Orlu urban, Ohaji-Egbema and other L.G.A in the zone and in a futile attempt to tie it to Nzeribe. Laughable! Can you even mention just one single project, just one Nzeribe carried out in Oguta his home town? Oguta is also your town which is even more easier to go on the fact finding mission.
The truth is that Nzeribe's tenure as Senator of Orlu was one of ineptitude, failure and collosal bondage. He held Orlu captive in the Senate and diverted all Federal goodies coming to the zone into his pocket. Thank God he was roundly rejected by ndi-Orlu in the 2007 senatorial polls. And thank God for Achike Udenwa who became the vessel used to pull him down.
Ex-Governor Achike Udenwa was the best thing that happened to Orlu zone. His effort made the federal government add areas like Ohaji-Egbema/Oguta into the list of oil bearing communities and it's was through his tireless battles that Imo state began reaping the dividends of the NDDC which ones used to be cornered mischievously to Rivers state. He established the only recognized higher institution of learning in the zone at Ohaji-Egbema -the Imo state polytechnic Umuagwo. At Orlu urban, he constructed the Sam Okwaraji stadium, the international market, the housing estate (now turned school of health) the federal high court complex, IMSUTH, and the school of nursing, Amaigbo. The federal government through his influence added Oguta among the designated areas for future seaport project in the country and so much projects his parly with then President Obasanjo attracted to Ndi-Orlu/Ndi-Imo.
So please give honour to whom honour is due.

What happened in Rivers State has nothing to do with salaries of Legislators rather it was a clash of power between APC with their Federal might and PDP supported by the populace.

Rochas Okorocha had NOTHING to do with that mall, and everybody knows it.

He can only be known for "House of Freeda", an under-patronized abandoned store owned by his daughter which he built using public funds and stolen land initially belonging to female lawyers at MCC Road.

No Governor in Southeast outside Ngige and Peter Obi has embarked upon the level of rural roads construction done by Okorocha. If Udenwa or Ohakim did 1/10th of what Okorocha has done in the outlying villages, we would have been much better now. Who knew Orlu could ever be a city? Let me tell you one thing you might not know many of the people angry with Rochas is because of Orlu's development. They feel short changed each time they visit Orlu and why shouldn't they? Orlu has been connected to Owerri with a dual carriage way with all the major roads in Orlu dualised and further extended to Akokwa. Orlu and Owerri is almost becoming one city as against Mbaise or Anara which are much closer.
