Not just handsome, but splendid. Not because I am Igbo.

One thing: the last Buhari administration saw Aba people learn how to sew beautiful clothes, making better body creams, soaps. shoes etc. to substitute the importation of foreign things banned then by Buhari military government.

Okorocha believed none of them was befitting and made a move to build a completely new IMSU but he was fought down and Orlu people refused to back him with full might..
Stop lying - even to your teeth.

Gov. Okorocha never truly intended to relocate IMSU to Ogboko. He just used the IMSU relocation as a ruse to acquire land in Ogboko for his private university.

No body could fight down a state government intent to relocate IMSU from Owerri, more so, when there are about four other universities and polytechnics in or nearest Owerri.

Even Okorocha's Deputy then who is from Owerri, as well as other prominent Owerri people were going round telling people reasons why IMSU needed to be relocated from Owerri to Ogboko. Suddenly, after acquiring the land and started building on them, news came that IMSU was no longer to be relocated.

One thing between you and Okorocha your Principal: you believe people are fools.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Senate Fails To Pass The Gender And Equal Opportunities Bill. by mandax: 2:08am On Mar 16, 2016
Most of Nigeria lost it when 20 new federating units were progressively created from one northern federating unit, but only 17 new federating units created for two southern federating units. On independence day in 1960, three federating units - north, southeast and southwest agreed to form one independent country. North must not have 19 states +Abuja new federating units.

With three senators from every state, northern Nigeria with more Muslims thus literally owns Nigeria. Others can speak dogon turenchi in the NASS for hours, at the vote, north has it. Who must be president, the north has final say, and in a big way.

No federal country created new federating units with use of land mass as criterion, as was done by northern soldiers in creating Nigeria's 36 states+Abuja political structure.

For example, who can think of dividing the large states of California and Texas in the USA into about four new states each, without dividing the smaller US states in the same proportion?

Omo Igbo have been crying for political restructuring in a democratic manner, but some Nigerians don't understand why.

Remember these? They are all anti-Okorocha people from Owerri who used the media between 2012 to early 2014 to nearly push down Okorocha's govt.

Since Okorocha turned to becoming governor of Owerri they are no more writing.

The dangers in breathing the dust all these years are obvious, perhaps not before a liar and mischievous fellow. The amount of curses Okorocha gets due to these dusty roads are enough to .. In Syria, President Assad responded to peaceful protest with fire arms, then with tanks. For months, the protesters were being killed but they refused to take up arms. Months passed, Assad soldiers continued to clamp down on unarmed protesters.

And after many months of killing unarmed protesters by Syrian soldiers .... We have Syria that we have today. All parts practically destroyed in war between Syrian army and different rebel groups. Russia, America, Turkey, and other countries are directly and indirectly involved in the war.
And this is Syria with no great mineral resources, compared to Nigeria where nations of all types will quickly ally with any of the warring sides once civil war erupts in Nigeria.

The Nigerian soldiers in Aba are led by one ill-educated Janjaweeeed. Lt. Col. from far north of Nigeria. He must have no sense of History.

There is no doubt that Owerri has improved vastly under Rochas.Even google earth will testify to that. There has been about 6 bridges or culverts over otamiri river.Linking new Owerri to old town. A ring road system is being developed around the city with flyovers to make commuting from one part of the city to another stress free. It appears a golf course is being developed around Otamiri river at Emmanuel Church road area and plans are on to link FUTO directly to Owerri-Aba express road.
Likewise, Just as Awka has vastly improved under Obiano and Enugu improved under Chime, we know these indisputable facts already.

The issue is that if a bad road is showed in Owerri, you should counter by posting the good roads to show that progress is being made, but not every place has been rehabilitated yet. Instead of trying silly lies to convince folks that the picture is Abakaliki , Oron or Onitsha. We all know how Owerri, Awka, Onitsha etc look like. We have lived there and know every nook and cranny. So stop trying to play us as fools. Change your method of defence from blatant lies to using counter pictures to make your point that progress is being made gradually.
You may not have heard of one rustic village area called Orlu. People in the area are negotiating with Anambra's Gov Obianor to be incorporated to Anambra state.

If plans work out, Gov. Obiano shall allow the local government councils in the area to use their federal allocations to pour asphalt on the roads scraped in the area - residents have been breathing dust since four years.

They will use the local government allocations to build drainage systems; these are the two most important problems hitting them bad.
.
As for government development infrastructure, they have resigned, and now waiting for the government after this one.

Lemme help you: apart from the six bridges and culvert built in old and new Owerri by our amiable governor Okorocha, he is also building six more bridges across Nworie River to link old Owerri to the New Third OWERRI CITY whose plans have been approved by our great governor.

Third Owerri City is planned to house many people expected to migrate to it from the now abandoned local government areas in the Imo north senatorial zone.

Four more flyovers are to be built by our accomplishing governor of Owerri, Rocha Okorocha between old Owerri and Third Owerri city to make life in Owerri smooth, easy.

Plans are on by this government to start Fourth Owerri city from Obinze to join with Ulakwo, and with four dual carriage ways to link every area in the Fourth Owerri City.

Fourth Owerri City is planned to house people from the now dwindling Ideato areas. The only govt presence in two Ideato areas is the Orlu to Akokwa road dualized by our great governor Okorocha, but sonetimes one can travel up to 5km on the road before one can pass another vehicle.

We are hoping that before our great governor Okorocha leaves office in another whooping number of three years, our FOUR OWERRI Cities together must be the cleanest city, and above all, four Owerri cities with the highest number of flyovers in the east of Nigeria.

With the other 24 lgas in Imo state given the back seat by our amiable governor Okorocha, the day he is going for another elective position, people in the Four Owerri Cities shall beat the hell out of the people from the other ignored 24 lgas to vote for Okorocha.

As a matter of fact what you went for Mr. President concerns us and one of our governors ought to be there who are closer to us than you.

But President Buhari went to Equatorial Guinea purposely to do a death blow on those Niger delta people who cry,: oh crude oil found in our land; oh crude oil found in our land.

PoliticsRe: Sani Warns El-rufai To Stop ‘eyeing’ Buhari’s Seat. by mandax: 5:40pm On Mar 14, 2016
Why can't el-Rufai?

After all, in the southwest, even Catholic Cardinal Okogie, many Catholic church Bishops and powerful Pastors with large congregation. shall rather vote for a semi-literate Muslim from northern Nigeria, or worse, vote for an Islamic extremist from northern Nigeria, instead of voting for anyone from the east of the Niger.

Last presidential election, if you see how Cardinal Julius Okogie and other Yoruba Catholic church Bishops and pastors demonized President Jonathan and rooted for Buhari, you know what I am talking about.

Have they realized the billions of dollars NNPC money which Sanusi Lamido told them that Jonathan and his people stole? The Yoruba easily falll for Sanusi trap. Sanusi merely used the missing money hoax to further demonized Jonathan so that power should return to Sanusi's north; after all the demonization of Jonathan by Boko Haram seemed to be failing the Sanusis.
PoliticsRe: Southerners Erroneously Think The North Is Dependent On The South - Ben Bruce by mandax: 4:00pm On Mar 14, 2016
Bruce feels the sign that he may be filtered out next election because he is not singing from the same page with Fulani.

Many of these politicians from the old eastern region, because of the way Nigeria was politically restructured by Fulani-loyal soldiers, by giving north too many undue large number of states and local government councils, with too much over representation of North at the central politics; these eastern politicians must dance to the tune dictated by Arewa politicans, if not, the eastern politicians are swrpt away next election.
PoliticsRe: Southerners Erroneously Think The North Is Dependent On The South - Ben Bruce by mandax: 3:48pm On Mar 14, 2016
Ben Bruce is 100% wrong when he says that the south depends on the north for food.

I don't know which south Bruce was talking about, but southeast zone can produce all over its food needs and have enough to export to its neighbours.

When ever you open a thread about Owerri, please don't drag Okigwe and Orlu into it as you did here.

It's obvious, Owerri gets irritated by any idea that any Imo state government can do any development project outside Owerri.

Imo state library for example was established in Owerri by East Central State government. Owerri has never allowed any other Imo governor to establish a state library outside Owerri.

Owerri drags the five govt universities and polytechnics in Imo state to Owerri alone, and fights to the death any governor that tries to transfer even one to Orlu or to Okigwe.

JohnNgene:
Hmmm... Your article is deep. Very deep!

The problem I have with it however is that you're attacking our local entrepreneurship from the angle of globalisation.

What do you have to say about the indigenous refining of crude oil in the creeks of Niger Delta for instance? Do you support the further destruction of such resourceful improvised efforts by the Nigerian government under the tag of "illegal refineries"? So that the Nigerian government can build proper refineries of "global standard"? Or do you realise that if government were to support and regulate these so-called illegal refineries, Nigeria would no longer need to import foreign refined oil in about five years time?

And please do not look down on our artisans, soap makers, bead makers, etc. These people would be the CEOs to invest in the industrialization that our country needs.

Forget about the Nigerian government. Have they provided basic amenities like roads and power? Talk more of having a long-term vision of global industrialization you're advocating for here?
The leader of Nigeria's government today is only after having his region recolonizing the rest of Nigeria.

Buhari jets about the world signing military pacts with Sunni Muslim countries, and with neighbouring African countries - for Pacts to conserve the existing flawed political structure and unitary government system of Nigeria which favour only the Buhari clan.
