OBAGADAFFI:
I just dey laugh for here grin grin grin

I thought Nigerians have learnt lessons form the Intercontinental, Oceanic and Transcorp saga.

Stocks in Nigeria is just like Lotto/casino business, the shareholders are the players, while the company Directors are the casino owners.

Whether you lose of win, the casino owners always make money.

Raymond of DAAR communications is still alive.
The Transcop scammers are still alive, the owners of starcomms, Japul and those dead stocks are still living big.

None of them will ever apologize to shareholders for making them loose money.

People should learn to diversify into REIT, T.Bills and Mutual.

Stocks are the riskiest among all.
This is a stockmarket investment, you can always go the treasurt bill, real estate or mutual fund thread. Because Oando, Oceanic, Intercontinental, Daar communitation etc disappointed investors does not mean that the stockmarket is not a very good avenue for the informed and intelligent investors to build wealth for themselves and their progeny.

I doubt if it will get to 50k.

Just a little over a year ago, Dexter, myself and a few others were almost crucified for speaking out against the "optimism" of a certain Nobody as regards Oando. Aside of the corporate governance issues with the company, as a geologist, it was glaring then that Oando should have renegotiated the ConocoPhillips deal as their purchase price was too high. I exited on the 1st of Sept 2014, and faced the wrath of folks here who were hoping to see Oando at #100 within 6months. Dexter couldnt take the insults and crude remarks from the Oando faithful, he actually stopped posting here. And thus many missed his FO call in June of this year. The price of Crude oil will be bearish for some time to come. If in doubt, google the term "iran oil exports".
I also experienced what you guys suffered, I guess investors are now wise. I hope to join the train, if it touches N4 and below.

That is too bad if he deactivated his account, the worst that can happen if for him not to frequent the tread again or keep quite like someone suggested.

Sir, why not start at page 1 to quote me? SMH
@myjoy I have nothing against you and please do not deactivate your account. I only want to advise you that care must be taken when advising people on stocks to buy. Do not sound like an insider who is giving expo, but analyse stocks based on available facts and figures. Whenever you change your opinion about a stock you recommended, it is good to notify your followers about your current opinion about such a stock. These are very good for your reputation on this thread.

@Dr. Agba, take some look at Oando. II'm given you expo!
@ Agba, how far with the expo given to you in September 2015.

Not just her, me too.

And I was talking with a friend yesterday, he said with the way things are going, he could wager that Amcom will take over Oando in due course.
AMCON will not take Oando, they can always raise funds from new and gullible investors.

Sir, things are not that bad or worst for Oando as your friend envisage. They just have a little challenges of corporate governance grin
Today's result is part of the little corporate governance challenges of Oando.

A company that has corporate governance issues, high debt profile, gross erosion and dilution of investors' wealth, over ambitious and inept management surely needs the grace of God to survive another 5 years. In the fulness of time the undertaker will come for the remains of this company.NB this my own opinion and should not be taken as the fact.
WORDS ON MARBLE, as per Oando.

We are all consistent with our analyses of Oando, except myjoy. But the current circumstantial variables may make some of us to change our analyses and perceptions about the company.

Absolutely yes sir. That was before when Uncle Wale still treading on the path of conscience. The moment he decided not to listen to some top advisers and heading towards securing some unfavorable deals with some greed investors after the COP at the detriment of ordinary shareholders', then one should think twice.
I am sorry, you are short sighted or you lack the inner eyes to see that the guy and his gang had been treading the path of chronic greed and lack of conscience for about 10 years. The worst part is that every year they got better in their stock in trade to the detriment you and i.

myjoy08:
Sir, read my assertion on Oando on previous post huh Wale is not the only one controlling the direction of the company. Why not ask the chairman, Otunba? Only ordinary investors/traders are complaining...the lions share of the profit are taken by the shark themselves!
But you used to be very optimistic about this stock. I have never hidden my reservations about Wale's strategy or running and ruining the company. I wrote a letter to NSE and SEC to complain about how shareholders were cheated by Wale and his gang in 2012.

myjoy08:
Sir, those guys are conscienceless. They will come up with another version of the result in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Quarters. Well, karma in life has no excuses. The top shareholders' had pocketed some millions of $$$$$ leaving the ordinary shareholders in derailed of confusion!
@ Myjoy, I cant believe this is coming from you. Are you not an Oando insider and a personal person of Wale. I see this company at N5 or less.

InvestmentRe: A Thread To Clarify The current Rates On Fixed Deposit In Nigeria Banks(Exposed) by manie(m): 5:30pm On Oct 22, 2015
bigfizh:
2% ke, that's cheat deposit not fixed deposit, this is what i do everyday in the office, and i decided to come here and inform my fellow NL, that a banker will tell u a low interest and persuade you to accept it but meanwhile they can offer you more,
banks know that most customers through persuasion will accept any rates for fixed deposit, as no true business man will focus on Fixed deposit when they know what same money can fetch them outside there,

Banks want deposit but cheap deposit, they know that people will not keep their money at home for security reasons, so why pay them good interest on fixed deposit monthly without a fight when there are still customers with millions and billions in their account with no strings attached(just for saving sake and not investment).
Try to understand my post, no bank will pay you 2% per month. 2% per month translate to roughly 24% per annum.

No bank will give u 7 percent per month fd on1m, stop being an idio.t, I wonder d kind of bank dt employed u, when u r empty on basic things like interest rates. Olodo
No bank will even give you 2% interest in a month, the Aliko Dangote can not even get that for his multi billion Naira cash talkless of someone who few millions to put in a fixed deposit.

The current rate by my bank for fixed deposit is 2%.

I really like the Nigerian stock mkt and its liquidity as it seems to be booming may be I would like to try it out some day but currently I trade global currency, commodity mkts. Well as bank rates drop, real time mkt traders still enjoy their profits from the volatile and liquid mkts. So also I encourage you to try trading currency and gold...or invest in it, its highly profitable and works. You can make a living on it or investment and its equally fun and tasking.
Here is how I turned an $100 into $1,500 real money in a week. also am working on a project after a series of successful back testing of the mkts I turned an $100 into $10million and another recent test from $100 into $5million. So I know its not by accident and is achievable. incase you like my results and are interested in me trading fx for you then reach me on +23490 9542 7001 or 0905366 0270
You are the wrong thread, I doubt if members of this forum are interested in this venture.
