Shuoooooohuh? Why not address him as 'Sir'or "Mr"? As for me and my bnsitl, we choose to address the only man who bought UAC before independence as "Pa"
No stock was tradeable in 1960, I bought my first UACN around 1999. NB Uac should be a good buy at anything between N20 to N23 for investors who want to diversify from banking stocks.

This reference by some forumites to manie a.k.a Emma Ewumi as ''pa emma Ewumi' sounds rather derogatory to me. Is he older or as old as Buhari to be termed 'pa'? Someone may say he (manie) is a veterran investor but my thinking is, isn't it more respectful and professional to say Mr or better still Sir Emma Ewumi.
Thank you my brother, may God bless you. The doyen of accounting in Nigeria who is about 90 years is simply referred to as Mr Akintola Williams.

Well said... Every kobo I put in NSE r disponsable income I can do without in yrs.

My strategy is consistency in Investing... Something every month or twice and the left over to spend.
Mine is every week, the only difference is the asset class I invest in. More than 80% of my dividends are also reinvested.

Money management and financial literacy ought to be incorporated into our curricullum.

Maybe the poor and the middle-class need to learn what the truly rich people know about money making, money management and money multiplication.
Money management and financial literacy should be made compulsory in our schools.

My quote 2 days ago on the direction of stock market when Manie said 'it's d right time to buy'
It was a good time to buy 2 days ago, it is a better time to buy tommorrow. I can see better days ahead for long term investors who are not using borrowed money or short term fund to trade in shares.

Am I the only one having this feeling that Oga Bigjay own 98% of this company and will smile to the banks with 17 Million naira dividend?
Oga I dobale oooo.....
That means the total dividend declared is less than N20 million. The company is really small.

Company that recently gave a 30kobo dividend for a 50kobo stock. c60% dividend yield. Lol. The "beauty" about it, is that the free float can be compared to that of Forte Oil, which as you know has made some people smile a lot

Also, RAK Unity is a "silent subsidiary" of Sahara Group and Sahara is entering the market next year. Do the maths.

#MyVeryPersonalView. #NotaRecommendation
What is the EPS of this stock in the last 5 years? What is the stock price behaviour in the last 60 months? What is the source of the recently paid dividend? What is the market share of this company? How liquid is this stock and company? What is the percentage of institutional investors in this company? What is pedigree of the supposed parent company ie Sahara group? These are some of the questions people who want to buy RAK need to consider. NB, you can make money from recovery stock but you need to start seeing recovery in the fundamentals, injection of more funds, new management and positive market sentiments. I made money from these recovery stocks UACN @ around N2.50 in 2002 and International Brewery @ less than N1.00 around 2006. I commend you for the good job you are doing as the moderator of the Jobs/Vacancies section. Wishing everyone all the best in our quest to building lasting wealth for ourselves and our progeny via investments.

I just sighted Dumexoga. My eyes on UBA as pa emma advised.
Please do not buy based on my advise, kindly do your due diligence. As per dividend investors, they should get a dividend of about 50k per share which is not bad for a stock selling for about N4.30k.

I dnt have GTB and I dnt even plans to buy it at this price levels. I will rather buy zenith at this price levels than GTB.

Despite the headwinds that I envisage might have a drag on fbnh's financials, I see a greater upside in Fbnh than GTB.

Caveat: I own both zenith and Fbnh.
I own the following bankig stocks, FBNH, UBA, Access, Skye and Zenith. I think UBA has a higher upside potential compared to FBN. Instead of accumulating Zenith, GTB, Ecobank and Stanbic IBTC, it is adviseable to buy highly liquid and fundamentally strong banking stocks that are selling for less than N8.00. This is my layman's opinion.

sir, it is only a person that dont have cutlass will say that but are you gtb or fbnh?
The upside potential of FBNH is higher than that of GTB.

I don't subscribe to the fact that the banking stocks are cheap cos few months back they were selling cheaper than the current price. NSE is very dry, the more you look, the less you see
They are very cheap and may be cheaper, buy while offer lasts.

brother, did you hear my loud AMEN ? wether wishful thinking or not, all things are possible, and wishes can become horses . that said , i may need to enter my sanctorum and come out b4 telling you what i'll be doing with the money . but yes, up to 60% of it will be deployed in the NSE. note also that, up front , 10+% will surely go to my place of worship, my source of spiritual fortitude and stability, then , and thereafter , as prices stand today , i wil most likely start by conducting a quick, violent, hostile takeover of both skye and seplat (in any sector i'm attracted to picks with low OS), and that will be just for starters . excuse me, let me take a breath . . .
Tithe ke, do pastors allow gambling and lottery. The N100 million was won via lottery. I will take the money as a seed capital, tithe, humanitarian and other charitable causes can be done from the returns on the seed capital of N100 million.

Please my oga angrybull and other gurus in the house,,,

which NSE shares (first 5 shares WITH REASONS TO BUY THEM) should I buy now to get good profit in 1 year time...

THANKS ALL
There are lots of opportunities in the market, most of the stocks in the banking sector are very cheap. I will choose the following with a 12 to 24 months duration. First Bank, UBA, Access Bank, Skye Bank, Flour Mills, UAC property, United Capital etc. There are scores of other cheap stocks.
