The Federal Government has commissioned 11 fire fighting trucks and 14 water tankers procured for the Federal Fire Service (FFS) to enhance the protection of lives and property.

The Minister of Interior, Abdurahman Bello Dambazau while delivering his keynote address at the official commissioning of the trucks in Abuja on Tuesday, commended the Federal Government for the new trucks which according to him, would revive the competence of the Service.

Dambazau noted that since the inception of the fire service in 1901, this is the first time such large number of firefighting equipment has been procured.
“We all know the Federal Fire Service has not been given the much needed attention it deserves for 116 years of its existence particularly when it comes to provision of firefighting equipment.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said it has 21 days supply of petrol, that's around 750 million litres.
The corporation said in a statement on Tuesday that it has also increased the amount of petrol truck supplies to cities across the country, with Abuja receiving additional 100 trucks of petrol from its normal 70 trucks daily supply.
Lagos is being supplied 300 trucks of petrol daily, the statement signed by its spokesman Ndu Ughamadu said.
The petrol stock is also boosted by supplies from Port Harcourt and Kaduna refineries.
"NNPC wishes to assure motorists that normalcy would soon be restored in all parts of the country," the statement said.
NNPC enjoined motorists and other consumers of petroleum products to desist from panic buying, while also warning marketers not to engage in hoarding as defaulters would be prosecuted.

Ndigbo for PMB 2019, a South-east pro-Muhammadu Buhari's organisation, says that the miraculous healing of the President and his attainment of 75th year are signs that “God has preserved him to better Nigeria.
The group’s National Coordinator of Ndigbo, Prince Paul Ikonne, in a statement issued and signed on Monday in Abuja, said that God’s plan to use President Buhari beyond 2019 for the betterment of Nigeria had been renewed.
Ikonne, who is a former governorship candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Abia state, called on all Nigerians, particularly the Ndigbo to continue to support the administration of President Buhari and show commitment to his re-election in 2019.
The current chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said all plans had been concluded to stage a mega rally in Lagos by January 14, 2018, in support of President Buhari’s re-election.

After making a slow start, the Nigerian energy landscape is set for a major change with the award of a USD 2,809,522,548.36 gas pipeline contract approved by the Federal Executive Council as proposed by the Ministry of Petroleum Resources. The ministry is under the direct supervision of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, the Minister of State who made the presentation to the cabinet announced that the project is for the construction of a 40 inches pipeline across 614 kilometers from Ajaokuta to Abuja-Kaduna-Kano. This should mark an important landmark in the implementation of the first phase of the Nigerian Gas Master Plan, NGMP approved in2018.
A second contract approved under this massive, blockbuster investment is for the engineering, verification, procurement and construction of a 40 inches 30 kilometers Odidi to Warri gas pipeline expansion project. This one is to transport additional gas supply from upstream producers to various demand points at the cost of N7.7 billion and USD56 million.
