2)can I use a blackberry to register, and what are the things I need to write down from the confirmation page..or do I need to print the confirmation page
3) I want to apply for my mum do I need my dad and all her children's passport photograph
4)what if a person like 15yrs wins the lottery will he be granted visa ??won't they think he's too young
Answers to ur questions; 1. U will meet up incase u win bt make sure u have 5 credits in ur results, statement of result is Ok,u dnt really need certificate,in as much as it's geniune result. 2. U can use ur BB bt make sure u write down ur confirmation number and keep it safe in a place u can easily recover it or save it in ur email draft. 3. If u want to apply 4 ur mum u must include ur dad and all ur siblings under the age of 21. 4.If u are 15 now u can apply as ur age will definitely be 16 b4 the result & other tins are set. 16 is the minimum age. GOODLUCK.

RomanceRe: Guys: Would You Date A Lady Older Than You? by mannet(m): 1:29pm On Oct 10, 2012
Well, just like someone said that some few years ago Nigerians will give a definite NO-NO answer but am happy things are really changing fast and we are getting more open minded.Of all the relationships I've ever had i always enjoy the ones with ladies older than me especially when i was in skool,i dated a lady 4 years older and she was great though we later parted ways due to marriage tinz.
Older ladies are more matured, understanding, patient, supportive and respectful than these small girls who run their mouths, misbehave and talk anyhow.
Seriously am praying to God to give me a lady 2 to 5 years older than me as my lovely wedded wife till death do us part.
EducationRe: Humble Advice To Nigerian Students, Pls, Pls Read!!!... by mannet(m): 6:12am On Oct 10, 2012
@OP and other contributors,i really comend the gud job of advice u have done, let me make sometin very clear here, while i was in skool i knew guyz dat realy looked quiet bt were dangerous, some pretend @home to b gud bt in skool they are vipers, the problem is there's no morals in the society anymore, where u will see a boy as young as ur the last born in ur family threatens and insults u all becos they are students & feels they are hard guys, imagine behaving rudely or trying to opress an illitrate in his own community,u knw the consequences. While in skool,i choosd my friends wisely for various needs & they are friends dat adds value to my educatn/learning & positive tins,i avoid parties outside skool,i dnt move wit guys wit questionable characters,if i dnt have a geniune bizness somewhere u wnt find me there,i respectd every1 in my neighborhood that i was made the caretaker of my compound,PHCN bill collector & was very faithful.,Bottom Line....As a youth/STUDENT,Watch ur ways,ur friends/companies & dnt be @the wrong place where u are nt wantd. If u love ur life & ur struggling parents live a low key life & danger will be 10 steps away frm u,hard living(fake life) comes with serius consequences though some do escape bt U mite nt b dat Lucky.#A Word is enuff for the Wise.
TravelRe: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by mannet(m): 8:01pm On Oct 09, 2012
Hello Gurus in tha House,i really enjoy ur discussions and contributions on this forum as it has helped both winners and future winners, specifically i will like to mention few of these guys like Adesojiaderemi,Temmytanny,Brightmon and co who have sacrificed their precious time to share their experiences.I have a few question even though am not a winner yet but i hope to be soon,my question goes thus:
1.On Blacklisting; i applied for the DV 2013 the first day of registration and applied with format name (Chukwuma,Ciroma Adekunkle with a passport) and as the registration was about closing an aunty of mine requested to help us do a family application which she collected all our passport including mine(am above 21 but i never knew i wasn't eligible for family category) so she collected and did the registration over the in the states, later i discovered it wasn't a family registration she did cos she sent me a confirmation number(which means that i have done a double registration) though the passport and name format she used was different from the one i did(she used,Chukwuma,Adekunle Ciroma)...now can this really be termed a multiple entry/reguistration and can i be blacklisted for subsequent DVLottery program, and if am fortunate to be selected for the DV2013 by October 22nd,will it in anyway affect my processing visa.

2.Gurus in the house that have scaled through the interview and gotten ur visa; what do u think might make someone to be denied of visa on interview day? and from ur experience, perception and intuition, what really is the CO looking out for in an interviewee. We need to know all this before hand cos these guys can be very funny, when they deny u visa sometimes it looks as if heaven has shuts it's doors at u cos there's no amount of plea or conviction that will change the CO's mind.

thanks for your help and reply in advance

PoliticsNigerian Police Recover Part Of Sani Abacha's $4.3bn Hoard From Robbers by mannet(op): 6:18pm On Oct 05, 2012
General Sani Abacha

Nigerian police have recovered a stash of gold and diamond jewellery worth thousands of pounds from robbers who targeted a home of the country's most notorious former dictator.

Officials in arid Kano, in northern Nigeria, said four men swiped $125,000 (£77,000) of jewellery last year – a staggering 20m naira in local currency, or 100 years' income for the average Nigerian – after raiding one of many sprawling, lavish homes of the former military ruler Sani Abacha.

"We are still investigating. Not all the stolen jewellery has even been recovered," said a Kano police inspector, Ibrahim Idris, as officials displayed a glittering pile that included two dozen gold necklaces and some 40 pairs of gold earrings.

The greed of Abacha, who ruled for five years after a 1993 coup, shocked even Nigerians used to plundering on a grand scale. He is believed to have stolen $4.3bn while in office. In one case, he was accused of gutting a $500m state-owned steel plant. The tradition has continued as Nigeria's oil wealth continues to be looted. In April, James Ibori, an influential governor, was jailed in the UK for looting $250m over eight years.

The Abacha family have largely lain low since the short, flamboyant general died of a heart attack while cavorting with Indian prostitutes. As his death sparked an outpouring of jubilation, his wife Maryam was caught trying to flee the country with 38 cash-stuffed suitcases. A $5m Peace Foundation set up by the family, intended to sell "Abacha-themed" televisions, sandals, rice and soap, later , went bust.

"That amount of money spent on jewellery is just confusing. What exactly was he doing to earn that kind of money? And how can anyone spend so much on jewellery?" asked Muhammadu Bello, a local trader whose annual income is about $1,200.

A push to recover $4bn squirrelled away into the family's private accounts in Switzerland forced the tax haven to relax banking secrecy regulations after landmark rulings. In 2006, the Swiss authorities returned $500m to Nigeria – the first time European banks had returned looted money to an African country.

Nigeria's anti-corruption agency estimates about $400bn has been siphoned off from the oil-rich country into private pockets since 1960. Globally, developing countries lose up to $40bn a year through corruption, according to the World Bank.

TravelRe: DV LOTTERY 2014 Preparations by mannet(m): 10:08pm On Oct 04, 2012
it's really great to see Nigerians trying to really adhere to strict instructions,u all know the consequence if u don't adhere...lolz
well i just need to ask @temmytanny,@adesoji,@brightmon some salient questions;

1. Which browser did u use to applied during ur time?tell us exactly when u applied(from start date of registration).
2. I used a white background i.e a white wall in my house to take my passport, the wall had a small hole somewhere which is might or might no be very obvious, could this affect me in anyway during the selection? though all other conditions were met
3. some of my friends used a white wall which was a bit coarse, could this also affect them in anyway during the selection? all other conditions were met also.
4. @ Temmytanny, from what i gathered on some immigration forum; u must have a continuous stay in US for 5 years to get ur Citizenship and u mustn't leave outside of US for more than 6 months from the day u receive ur GC and u always have to apply for a re-entry permit if u live outside the US for upto 6 months to retain ur GC status....my questions is this for example if u have a good job in Naija and u still hope to retain ur GC status how do u go about it pending when u get a good job in US?.
5. How long do u have to stay in Naija after u get ur DV visa before u go to the US.

Thank u all for ur kind, sincere and quick response to my questions above...God bless u all.
CelebritiesUsher Planning To Sell Home, Forcing Ex-wife Out by mannet(op): 12:29pm On Oct 01, 2012
Usher was recently awarded full custody of his two young sons Usher Raymond V and Naviyd, whom he had with Foster.

Foster, who was left heartbroken when her 11-year-old son Kile Glover was killed in a jet ski accident earlier this year, has been living in the house alone since they split but their divorce agreement stated that Usher could sell the property at any time as long as he gave her 60 days notice.

The popstar's lawyer has already sent Foster a letter informing her of his plans to sell the 12,000 sq. ft. house, which he bought in 2007 after getting engaged to the former stylist, according to US gossip website TMZ.

Foster is said to be devastated because she has no personal income and has been struggling financially since their divorce in 2009.

But sources close to Usher insist he has given his ex-wife plenty of notice to move out of the house and find a new place to live.

Foster recently denied being "gold-digger" and also claimed she is fully able to support herself.[img][/img]

Christianity EtcRe: Nairaland Prayer Network For Patience Jonathan by mannet(m): 2:30am On Sep 25, 2012
I still try to imagine what kind of country we live in; fine it's very human for us to pray and have pity on our leaders and their family but i want us to look at it the other way round, how many of our leaders really have pity and sympathy for the masses they rule or are suppose to serve,if they truly have sympathy for us they will construct good roads, build and equip hospitals with latest technology and manpower, build good schools and improve the standard of education, create jobs and other social welfare program to take care of unemployed youths and tackle social problems that aid social vices, establish good transport systems that are affordable for the masses, make energy and power available to the masses and work towards making the society a better place for us to live in.Not until our leader begin to change for good and have a rethink over the way they rule us with great corruption, impunity and waste of our national resources on their selfish self and relatives non of them deserve my prayers, and i will really encourage Nairalanders to save their breath and prayers for children in the orphanage, poor people, unemployed youths and poor women/widows. When they are there at the top embezzling money and our national resources they don't have a bit of mercy or compassion for us,they stuck billions in foreign accounts and investments and were about to even create N5000 note to increase their loot, they use humans for sacrifices to gain more spiritual and physical powers for dominance over the people they are suppose to serve and yet you people are here praying for them when they have bloods on their hands. I don't wish Patience Jonathan any evil lest i become like them but i can pray for her either.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: World Bank 'Access Nigeria' Program: Worth The Effort ? by mannet(m): 2:06am On Sep 25, 2012
shadys: The training was on business process outsourcing(cross culture, speaking and communication skills,ms office suite),this I believe is one important added advantage any graduate would hope for.

NIIT trained 300+ participants in Kaduna.

The job fair was meant for employers to come and recruit graduates, invitations were sent to various companies, organizations but only few showed up and the training institutes that handled the training in various states had to collect CV's of the students they trained.

Job Fair in Nigeria is pretty new.

I think you should appreciate the BPO training and certificate you received courtesy of World Bank.
WTF!!! are u talking about here? i attended the program/training from day one,and it seemed good when the Indian guyz handled it but as soon as it was hijacked by Nigerian guyz the program became rubbish,we were supposed to be trained on BPO/CCIP but we were not given the training rather i still received text up till today from their so called BPO academy that i should come and pay a particular discounted amount for their training, meanwhile these training they now advertise to us is supposed to be free and part of the world bank program.
Fine,no knowledge is a waste but the bottom line here is that the AIM OF THE WHOLE PROGRAM WAS NOT REALIZED AND WAS A BIG FLOP,PERIOD!!!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: World Bank 'Access Nigeria' Program: Worth The Effort ? by mannet(m): 11:15pm On Sep 14, 2012
After the whole training and exams for ten weeks, result was out and we never heard anything reasonable from them, since then i started having a second thought about those guyz; world bank made a mistake to have used this guyz in conducting this training and organizing this whole program from start,i saw a big Bleep up ahead since they hijacked the program from the Indian guyz(Aeon Hewitt),nothing ever does well in the hand of a Nigerian company especially when it comes to doing things in a proper way.I'm happy i didn't risk my life and waste my resources coming to Lagos, cos my friends were there to tell me the whole thing going on.It is a big shame.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Invitation For Aptitude Test For Total E&P by mannet(op): 8:34pm On Aug 27, 2012
onezaki: Their aptitude test is mainly SHL questions. Google online and you would find the format. There would be 32 verbal questions to be completed in exactly 18mins and 20 numerical questions to be completed in 20mins. You have to be very fast and accurate. The technical test would be based on your field. Since u are applying for reservoir engineering, u have to focus on reservoir engineering or geology. All the best.
My brother may God almighty bless u and ur generation forever...AMEN and tanx alot i've gathered materials and the ones i used in the past for dragnet and am also looking to get a format for the skill test.please i did be glad if u can help me with the skill test format is it theory or OBJ and other details.
