I know your type and won't play into your trap. You said: what makes us believe that Nigeria won't invade, and even suggested that Nigeria should invade surrounding countries. Having said that, it shouldn't be that hard to deduct that "according to you", if Nigeria attempted to invade Niger Republic, wouldn't that be a standoff? Has Nigeria completely defeated BH on it's own land? Has Buhari led govt. figured out BH funding just as quickly they figured IPOB funding? And the list go on and on... Some people tend to turn tradition upside down... It's incorrect to say women don't inherit properties from their late parents, they do. It's only a family house and some cases, family land, that woman never inherits. As for businesses and properties, that's wrong. Mr. Emmy would more than likely lose in court. |

The CBN is not Diamond Bank where you manage High Net worth Individuals or consumer relations/privilege banking sounds like customer service to me, yes she's a CFA but imo, she doesn't have enough experience to lead a public institution like the CBN. 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: Anambra Least Foreign And Domestic Indebted State. Lagos, Osun, Highest -NBS by manny4life(m): 5:55pm On Sep 20, 2017 |
Cuche: So far, how much has these Oil & Gas, Grade Soils, and supposed airport has contributed to Anambra? Let's face facts: Nnewi commands more small & medium sized enterprises, employment, etc after Onitsha. Peter Obi neglected Nnewi, Obiano is doing the same, this is the reason why our constitution must change to allow states and their cities to be independent of each other. |
Politics / Re: Anambra Least Foreign And Domestic Indebted State. Lagos, Osun, Highest -NBS by manny4life(m): 3:39pm On Sep 20, 2017 |
Yall should continue arguing about Lagos, the last I checked, Lagos controls a whooping 30% of Nigeria GDP, in a nutshell, if Lagos were to crash, Nigeria is crashing alongside it. Instead of asking how can Anambra come close to controlling the sheer size of Nigeria, you guys are busy arguing about debt. Whether Lagos is the largest known debtor or not, you cannot take away the fact that it's debt is directly related to it's economic activity. The LASG is indebted in other to improve infrastructures that attract economic activity. Continue hating on Lagos, instead of brainstorming on ways to increase economic activity in Anambra. 2 Likes |

globemoney: What prevented him from doing so in the last 3.5 years ? Obiano is a certified failure and deserves to be booted out. Under Peter Obi, Anambra was a case study and known for financial prudence, more importantly, we were recognized as an upcoming economic powerhouse. Peter Obi's primary focus was driving investments into Anambra, heck even the CBN recognized Anambra in their 2014/2015 pre-cashless study conducted. There were meaningful & worthy investments and partners, and on a positive note, Anambra was one of FIVE states that passed a sustainability debt test. Have you looked recently at Anambra's deficit lately? Peter Obi left a fat account for the drunkard Obiano, today, Anambra is saddled with much debt can it can probably pay for... Please tell us why Obiano's case is different?I'm not a fan of Peter Obi, and he was certainly not the best because I criticized him, but heck he's miles ahead Obiano whose administration is laced with lies and deceit... 4 years after and he's yet to "start", who's deceiving who? 1 Like |

It's easy for many keyboard warriors to type "why didn't they leave for other neighboring cities despite the warning"? Well it isn't that easy to just up and leave your home because you really don't know precisely where it's gonna start from. A lot of neighboring cities that hadn't anticipated to be hit were hit hard.. Sugar land, Cypress, Richmond, were under intense flooding, up north around Spring, Humble, were hit hard. To the east, 1-10 to Galveston, Beaumont were submerged, and then 610 (the fourth largest road in the U.S.) was completely under water. So to answer your question, there were "NO" nearby cities to go to other than prepare for the worst. |

edupedia: This wouldn't be a problem only if the govt would stop collecting taxes from the SE states; relinquish all their federal land, mineral rights to resources in the SE, allow the states to develop at their pace without any interference and much more. I'm sure this would be a very much viable option. You cannot tell them to pack and leave, yet you're not willing to relinquish your authority... Can two work together except they be agreed? You're telling Igbos to pack and leave, yet the budget Osinbajo signed allocated at least 60% to the North: who's deceiving who? |

0b100100111: Crying more than the bereaved. All these things you listed are "relative" to demand and supply in an economy. Heck, the average Igbo business man is already paying way more than his counterpart. What sector of the economy will be solely dependent on Nigeria? We are well represented in just about every sector of the economy: trade/commerce, academics & education, farming/agriculture, construction & manufacturing (including automobile), and services such as financial, transportation, entertainment, travel, etc. Yes we're struggling in a few areas, but isn't Nigeria struggling as well? So I ask, how and why do you think Biafra would be "solely" dependent on Nigeria? Again, don't cry more than the bereaved. |
