in my family, we really will be amused and supportive...my Grandma before passing away(her Soul Rest in Peace), had a toaster sef, she actually did him shakara...bloody fooled him she said, like what value would it be again...we actually teased her about it but she just didn't want that and trust me the entire family would have supported her to see her so happy and living again...sometimes we need not be selfish of the expectations we hold others accountable to...live and let live. For them at such age, it's just different and probably pure so let them enjoy life.
