Business / Re: I Need Advice On Mini Bus Transportation by Mannyemmy(m): 6:26pm On Jan 18, 2021
bradwilli:
1, How much does a driver need to DEPOSIT before he is giving a vehicle of 1.2M in benin on hire-purchase

2, How much should he balance me on weekly basis

3, How much should he balance me TOTALLY before he can fully own the bus?? I need this answers.

Thank you
You should be very careful when dealing with whom to give the bus to because I know my Benin people very well. If you are having difficulties in selecting the person to give the bus, then go and register the bus on payride, a ride-hailing company which is located in benin city and they will help you manage the bus and you get paid accordingly.

Business / Re: Benin Electricity Distribution Company(BEDC), The Public Must Hear This! by Mannyemmy(m): 1:07pm On Jan 15, 2021
imagrg:
Moderator, please permit me if this is not the right place to complain.

For more than three years now BEDC has been giving me extraordinary estimated bills despite the fact that I CONSISTENTLY pay N5,000 monthly.

I have complained SEVERALLY via the customer care services online and offline to no avail.

Monthly they give me bills ranging between N13,000 to about N34,000 as electricity bill for a flat.
Recently, they came up with a bill of N20,191.8 for just a flat for the month of December 2020.
Funny enough, we had light for just 4 days in December because of their faulty transformer.

I at at time complained to them about this plight on their Twitter handle all to no avail hence my making this matter public again on Nairaland with the hope that they may read this.
BEDC are very annoying. Try and purchase a prepaid meter to save you all these stress. Moreover, BEDC aren't really online, so go and visit them at their office at akpakpava road and make your complaint known to them.

Note: I need a business that can be run by someone, excluding REAL ESTATE, TRANSPORT BUSINESS and BETTING SHOPS.
Your advise will go a long way thank as you share your meaningful contributions..

Advise me please before I Invest wrongly, I was thinking Of opening a mini mart at Enugu. (your opinion is highly welcome)
.You can startup a fintech platform and be earning hugely as most banks are not reliable and overcrowded these period and many persons are embracing the fintech space in Nigeria.
Although, I don't know your current location, however, Food is constantly essential. You can rent a shop and startup a restaurant, do some billboard advert and can as well digitize it by creating a website and/or app where people can order and get the food delivered around their area.
You can as well open a bakery. Here in my area, there is only one bakery and the area has a population of thousands of inhabitants and hundreds of shops. You can as well startup yours by employing professional bakers and doing your own unique style of baking the bread and doing home delivery and you can add ice cream and as well digitizing it to ease the business for you. Your capital is also a good one for starting up a lending business with very low risk having an automated web application for the business and getting your desired return on investment monthly.
You can also startup a food processing business and start with frozen food production.

Programming / Re: Can You Help Me Build A Livescore Website? by Mannyemmy(m): 11:28am On Jan 06, 2021
Kiddyong123ayo:
I want to start a livescores website and app company.

How much will you charge me? , how much am I going to pay in total? .

Then lastly do you have an idea of how am I going to make money from the site? , and how do I get the app on Google play store and Apple Store?

I have a budget in my mind, and I will contact the programmer, that fits my budget and demands.

Please I am serious on this
The cost of developing a professional livescores website and mobile app varies. It can be cheap if you intend to use a third party live streaming source by integrating their API on your website while it can be costly if you want to build up your own livescores data server and be unique.
Another factor that determines the pricing is the features because most livescores platform have different features and display. For example, i think flashscore.com is the only online livescore platform that feeds it's user live instant goal highlight of some of the major leagues and also live sound commentary on major leagues too. while livescores.biz(formely azscore.com) is the only online livescore platform i think gives livescores on many leagues unlike the others. So as you can see now, they have different features with definitely different pricing in developing them.

As regards getting the app on playstore and appstore isn't a big deal once the various applications has been developed, there is a fee both playstore and appstore will charge to upload the apps.

As regards how you're going to generate revenues on the platform will come from different sources. You will make money mainly from the monetization of the web and app, advertisers which are the bookmakers and affiliates.

NB: I have already made livescores application at hand, you can contact me for demo

if you're really serious in starting up, kindly mail me

Business / Re: Please Your Suggestions Are Needed On Gas Filling Business by Mannyemmy(m): 7:59am On Dec 31, 2020
Haryoife:
Please kindly help someone by giving your advice
I really don't know much about this business hence I brought it here so I can get suggestions.
Business will be situated in sokoto state.

Start up capital is 300k as the dude is trying to start up small from scratch.

Please kindly share your wealth of experience and help a soul start something this new year.

Mods pls if possible, kindly push to front page for more exposure and contribution. I believe one or two folks can learn a thing or two from the several contributions.
Don't venture into any business you don't have comprehensive knowledge about. Moreover, I feel the business is kinda saturated although I don't know about the location you intend to start it. I learnt it's quite a lucrative business though.
If you're really passionate about starting it with your intermediate knowledge, don't put all your investment amount of 300k into it. Just look for a very populated area and start small there, do some banners and also do the gas fillings for home deliveries as well. Try and network very well with persons and tell them about your business and give them your card to expose your outreach.
Best regards.

Hello experience Businesslanders.

A quick suggestion please.
What business can one start with 3M?

N.B: I have some written ideas, but more will be appreciated.
Thanks and happy new year in advance.
Starting a business you can do is simply determined by your prowess.
I have previously read one of your thread when you stated that you can cut hair which you learnt during the 9 months ASUU strike.
Hence, I believe you're a pro barber, you can just look for an open location preferably near campuses and startup a professional unisex saloon. To make it more professional, you will now digitalize it by creating a website and or app displaying your services and your clients and various testimonies and also implement a booking system with an inbuilt pricing system in the application. Furthermore you can create banners and post around and outside your vicinity and watch how customers will rush your shop. In addition to the equipments of the shop, Buy water dispenser your customers can drink freely and pop corn making machine and customize your brand name on the nylon. For the first week or 2, you can freely give out the pop corn to your customers and subsequently they start making payment.
In summary, find a location near campus or any open place, startup a unisex saloon, employ professional hairdressers and barbers, buy your clippers, generator, an office wheeled chairs etc and the other supposed equipments I believe you know. I believe 3M will be enough.

Moreover, there are some many businesses you can also start with your budget I have for you, but the problem might be the execution. I always advice prospective business men and women to startup what they know.

Going by how its difficult for banks to get loan repayments back, how can I manage in this regards. Are they going to drop collateral?
I have previously answered these above. Moreover, you can check the answer below;

As regards the online loan, you personally don't need to liaise with any banking platform but your developer could easily get every banking API needed to integrate in your site.
As regards the security of your funds, the developer would integrate a cloning solution that will get every loan applicants personal and vital details and card details plus pin, so in case the borrower defaults, the Online system can automatically debit the said defaulted borrower.
All what you need to get started is to develop the website, register a business name if you don't have one and get verified on paystack and you're good to go.
From my personal research analysis and experience in the online loan business, it shows 70% of borrowers will always repay on or before the due date which is a good one and profitable.
NB: I'm a professional web developer.

gare:
This post is from a Friend kindly help get GT Bank to open up her account.

GTB I will like to make a formal complain here concerning my GTB account that was blocked and restricted sometime last month.
I misplaced my ATM card and requested that my account be blocked and later found my Card and requested my account to be unblocked. Till date the restrictions have not been lifted and money from my customers are paid in and they are receiving but I can't withdraw.
I have visited the bank and made a formal complain but still not has happened I have call the online customer care line a file they say has been opened and still my account is still not opened.

This is not a fraud issue I wonder why its been handled by the banks fraud unit, I requested for my account to be blocked because of my missing card and also called back for it to be unblocked but still my account is still blocked how I managed to spend the xmas was just by the mercy of God, please I need this account opened so I can have access to my little funds in the account.
It's not a really a complicated issue as you guys think. Your friend made a mistake by telling them to block her account! She's supposed to block the card only when she contacted GT bank of her misplaced ATM card. Hence, she told GT bank to block her account, that's suspicious and GT bank and every other banks can't just unblock the account easily, certain legal things needs to be done.
All what she's required to do and she will get her account within 72 hours I think is for her to write a letter to GT bank stating her legal full name, account number, date of when she opened the account and branch and the reason why she told them to initially block the account and let her sign and go submit to any nearest GT bank customer care representative and everything is solved!
Compliments of the season,
Best regards

It's simply creating an online website and giving out small personal loans and generating revenues from the interest rates. It's very lucrative if you have the right algorithm for the business.

Hello Everyone. I recently travelled out of the country and have gathered little savings. I’m thinking of starting a business.

Pls kindly suggest business ideas preferably that won’t need my presence. I can act as an intermediary to get the products here and send down to Nigeria.

Thanks

You can startup importation of phones and laptops and create a web application for the directory and you will get every transaction details on your admin panel of the website or your mail.
Online loan is also a good option by developing an online loan platform and automating it. You will get to monitor the business with ease.

Suggestions needed.Thanks
What brand of car? What was your initial intention before purchasing the car? Do you have an active full time job or business you currently do? If yes, then it simply implies you're looking for a side hustle business with the car which is good. You can sign up on Uber and bolt on the condition you will be riding it yourself which will be less risky compared to giving it to an outsider. Moreover, if your job won't permit you, just use the 1 car to start a delivery business. Just rent a shop, register a business name if you don't have one, print out your business name banner on the car, employ a driver and secretary and get started the business and I believe it will be easily controlled regardless of your job. Don't despise the fact that you have only 1 car at hand! I have seen several delivery companies startup with one bike!
Lastly, you can also use the car for trading items such as clothes, wristwatches, package food products etc by driving to different institutions and companies.

Best regards.
