Chuksemi:Yup.. I moved in when it was a Govt Quarters...block A was the BQ..then it was sold to the tycoon who bought it and renovated it..Block D was an empty plot of land with a Mango Tree. When students flooded the place, we retreated to block A and fortified it into our ghetto...smoke, gamble, bleep, etc..Nobody disturbs you..we had Baggers, Axeman, 22, Etc living together..no harassment..we provided refuge to all fleeing members during rough seas..once you make it to the Ghetto, no bullet can touch you. beautiful place! We patrolled from Front gate to water board to Red house..no rubbish was tolerated! No I hear everywhere is a killing field..what is UHA doing? God bless IMSU sha ( though them can frustrate person oh) |
There are Doctors who have their primaries yet cannot apply for residency because of the scam called NYSC, the delay just made things worse for them..This Govt is a shame! Because Zahra Buhari isn't among Stream 2 abi? |
Chuksemi:Pioneer occupant if diamond lodge ( Block A- Ghetto Section)..we coined that ghetto Language! |
Oche211:I'm beginning 2 believe Benue State Governors derive nourishment from the blood of their Subjects murdered by Fulani herdsmen. The state houses of assembly is an embarrassment..not a single motion from them to strengthen the Benue state vigilante service..fools! |
I knew you guyz will always have my back...thanks loads sir. Heading to site ASAP. |
agarawu23:Thanks bro..i appreciate |
My Noble Egbons, I greet you all. Sorry to disturb your peace but your boy craves your indulgences. Something troubles me. I have this piece of land measuring 1200sqm with an R.of.O in a sparsely inhabited layout..the closest house to this property is about 500meters away...no access road per se but development is serious within the larger community with modern structures springing up here and there. it's located in bwari, abuja. I have decided to become a landlord by God's grace early next year...and after so much procrastination, I have decided to start laying blocks this month..( make I start from somewhere)! My problem however is that my budget is 700k (there's water on site and block industry nearby). One Friend is of the opinion I should build a boys quarter to roofing stage 1st..then start fencing, then go back and finish d BQ.., while another is of the opinion I just fence all, hustle and start building the structure within the fenced area later. Both have their points considering the fact that I'm a lower middle class worker whose condition may have just worsened with the whole economic wahala We are facing today..i fear I may not save up to this amount any time soon ( though I can afford to put in like 50k monthly into the project). So my experienced Sirs, could you advice on which I should do first? Fence now and build later or put BQ there and fence gradually? Thanks for your advice.(no insults please) |
Op! Na only God go bless u for dis advice u dey give upcoming boys like us for free. E get on Small 1200sqm wey I buy way back to develop..Govment allocation directly behind Bwari law school in Abuja. Now this land is situated in a huge expanse of undeveloped flatland of about 100 hectares or more. It's been surveyed and beacons shoot everywhere from d ground. Typical of most abuja lands, dia's a stream that bisects the land in two.. 1. bad news is that my plot is just about 50m away from d stream. 2. Bad news, the first building besides d access road (the extreme end of the place) is a bungalow with a Raft foundation. 3. Bad News, my plot is situated at the junction between two roads in the layout( which we intend to open up eventually) 4.the thing slope small o ![]() 5. I'm determined to start developing that place dis year..even going to te extent of flinging some assets to raise funds to comit to this small project. But as u don mention these things now, na to drink Sniper dey hungry me because I just d dont have d bar for some of dis Remedial measures in dis economic meltdown. Thanks all the same....pls, d u know how much it may cost in Abuja to rent a bulldozer to open a road from the tarred road to about 200m inwards...mainly cassava and brushes, e be like say some guyz wan rip us off.. pls pardon my typos, my phone is a miniature Nigeria Have a nice day |
That soldier standing their and smiling should thank the likes of Beegeagles Blog etc who mounted pressure on the Govt to consider replacing Thin Skinned Toyota Hilux trucks with APCS and LAVs for troop transport (like the Reva in the pix). If not, you wudda been blown to blasés in ya Toyota Hilux like so many of ya colleagues in d early years of the insurgency. Kudos to the SAs for selling us these livesavers. Meanwhile, I don like d Black Sweatshirt Kit adopted by the SF Battalion...Black Absorbs Heat, Doesnt look good with Dust, Retains Sweat(most of the fabric I've seen them wear aren't pure cotton), doesnt camouflage well in the desert terrain of the NE, etc.... the military did well in inaugurating a new desert Camo for our Boys, Flak Jackets for all front line troops, Weapons Standardisation, etc...but this black, abeg! Make Dem live am for SSS and Police biko...I saw one clean Brown T-Shirt wearing Soldier in one of their Pics one day...wonder which ppl dey wear am...QRF, NNSBS, DSS, I no know...but e fine. Long live the Nigerian Military. |
Hate or Love Him! El Rufai is a good administrator of Large Cities. Reminds me of a Controversial New York Governor. His methods may be crazy, but one cannot fault the intent using contemporary Logic. I guess Nigerians don't know it is the 70% poor that fund the health care system of nigeria yet benefit least from it. A Govt House staff is a civil servant like millions of other Nigerians. If He cannot go and queue up at a General Hospital at night like every other Nigerian, he should try a private clinics then. No dey use people common wealth to fund exorbitant lifestyle..all they do in the state houses is to issue sick passes to their lazy ass staff and medical reports for their Kids to justify delayed school resumption. Come out and feel the pain of Nigerians both rich and poor.lolzzzzz! The Hustle just got real Baby! Good one El.o |
obailala:I disagree sir. Peace without dignity is reserved only in cases of unconditional surrender or complete defeat. All evidence point at the Fulanis as the aggressors, yet it is the aggrieved that are seeking for peace. Soon the Fulanis will give their terms for peace as the following: 1. Ceding of all lands along the Benue river to the herdsmen for grazing. 2. Payment of yearly tribute of 100000tubers of yam. 3. Provision of Idoma women to meet the Conjugal needs of Fulani herdsmen. Then the PEACE LOVING Idomas will embrace these terms for peace to reign since they lack men. Imagine a grown ass man kneeling down on TV to beg an aggressor to vacate his land...God forbid some things! What message is he passing across to his children? To beg for mercy when their rights are trample upon instead of standing their ground. Tufiakwa! |
Melkizedek:What exactly doesn't defy logic in Nigeria? |
The annoying part is that no one has been arrested and tried for Arson-despite the burnt out villages as evidence, no one has been tried for murder-despite the corpses littering the ground, no one has been tried for stealing, despite the presence of these armed men on Agatu land eating yams from the farms. No one has been charged for illegal possession of firearms, despite the fact that a Senator was shot at in the full glare of reporters, Idoma people should sue the FG, Fulani Herdsmen(a recognised terror group in the world) and their Sponsors to the ICC for crimes against humanity and genocide. The evidence is everywhere hence indictment is sure. Meanwhile, the reclamation of Agatu land shouldn't be left to them alone. It should be an Idoma cause. E Also, the idea of leaving Tivs to fight alone must stop, Idomas must fight with Tivs to expect any sympathy from them. Benue has suffered too much in their hands. |
Police!!! |
Do we have a Minister of Environment in this Country? Does Widelife protection come under his/her jurisdiction? There's no state I will drive to where I won't see young men flaunting one killed form of Wildlife being displayed on traffic in the name of bush meat. This is abhorrent to Naturalists like me. I've lost count of how many times I've had to pay for live animals to later set them free. If you want to eat alligator meat - open an alligator farm ( done in Australia) If you want snake meat ( patronise General Buratai's Snake farm) If you want Bush rat- rear them. The Govt should begin to regulate this sector by issuing licences to hunters and criminalising those who hunt indiscriminately. Haba, so if I don't have NatGeoWid or AniP, my children cannot see some animals in their natural habitat. Something must be done. |
Maybe Idomas are Cowards afterall. |
Mods. Push this thread to FP let idoma peeps see it na! Abi the Fulani herdsmen don pay you to marginalise any thing Agatu? Isn't the write-up intellectual enough to merit FP? Abi make op kill snake join am? |
Lolzzzzzzz! Una think say everybody na una wry dey "manage" everything.. Standardise jare! |
wadetaw202:True sha. It's just hard to remain patriotic in this country |
In saner countries, the Military will be drafted to take over production pending when it is resolved, to prevent hardship on the population.but are they trained for anything else other than fighting ? Egyptian military took over bread production in 2011 to avoid shortages when bakers went on strike. Recently, Brazilian military, doing house to house fumigation and person to person awareness on the Zika Virus. South Africa deploys Police to take over mines, from strikers. Etc. |
wadetaw202:But Buhari, doesnt do same when he travels abroad to call us thieves and lazy before the international community. Isn't he an ambassador too? |
If the Tor Tiv and Och'Idoma cannot damn the consequences of coming on Air to issue a general call to arms against the fulani people, then they have no business occupying those seats. |
eyesofgod:Exactly Sir, i'd rather use the tax money to buy more bullets, since the people I pay the tax to see the very ones who kill mm siblings. |
A7:Read Ali Sina's Understanding Muhammed...then you'll understand why you rationalise the way you do.it was given to me by a Kano muslim. |
eyesofgod:I fight off fulani marauders |
MULLAH123:But we saw burnt houses on TV |
Fact: 90% of the best threads on NL don't make it to FP and I wont be surprised if this thread dies. However, like every wiseman who recognises a good topic of discuss, I'll drop my opinion on your question. I disagree to a large extent with some of your points even though we find common ground on others! The Nigerian Youth is long overdue for political leadership in Nigeria, provided the old ones stay clear and let him/her work without undue interference. I will take on each of the characteristics of the Nigerian youth you mentioned one by one : 1. "They Hate Individuals of there tribes.." Hate is not spontaneously generated, it is a product of so many vices which if left unchecked, naturally will breed hate. Eg. The Antecedents of the Fulanis have earned a spot as the No.1 most hated ethnic group in nigeria even though a fulani as the president of the country commands good fervour among the entire populace(as evidenced by his election). This shows that our hatred is not purposeless. Also, the Govts of some European countries like Hungary, Macedonia, Serbia, etc road into power on ultra-leftist campaign hinged on hatred for immigrants, gypsies, minorities, homophobia etc and yet their electorates did not disqualify them on such basis. Hatred for other tribes is everywhere ( Europeans hate gypsies, Turks hate Kurds, Ukrainians hate ethnic Russians, Whites hate blacks etc), so we are justified in our hatred for others who do not share our mainstream thoughts and ideals. It's merely natural. 2. "We Hate the Military and Police:"- the Epitome of youth is Liberalism and every Liberal Movement hates forces of Oppression.. Tiananmen square, Arab Spring, Colorado, Thailand, etc what is thereto like about a force of Occupation? A Military and Police that is against her people can NEVER be loved by them, most especially the youth who receive the beatings, Teargas, torture etc that accompanies any uprising...however, we tolerate those who support our cause...eg the Velvet revolution, the tunisian uprising etc saw the youth hailing the nobility of securities who refused to fire on their people.. give me that scenario in Nigeria, and lemme see the youth that will detest the military and Police. But as long as IPOB killing, Zaria massacres, Army against civilians daily, etc continue, I as a person can NEVER like them. 3. They Celebrate wrongdoing as response to Political injustice: that is not a Nigerian problem sir, but a global one.. when the Greeks converged on Athens vandalising all in the path and making a war zone out of the streets of Athens, did they not get rewarded by a Youthful president? Did Buhari not terminate a civilian govt (wrongdoing) in response to perceived political injustice by the shagari regime? Did he jot make treasonable comments leading to the death of Corp members in the aftermath of his loss in 2011(as response to political injustice) . Should we thank our oppressors? Should I ask the Agatus to send tribute to the fulani for massacring 400 of their own? 4 and 5 should be answered by the comment above. 6. "They live images of dead bodies, etc" . From the Arenas of Rome to the sets of Hollywood, humans have always lived blood and gore. The Internet is awash with such images and I don't think Nigerian youth alone glorify them..moreover, most of the reactions to such pix are those of digust! 7. "They lack creative vision, there idea to create the nation is to divide it"- Please who are the people that have consistently refused to renegotiate the corporate existence of the country? Who are the people that will not permit any progressive restructuring of the country? Who are the people who vote against any bill that seeks to drive us forward as a nation? 8.We have always been proud of our own Sir, from the Innosons, to our Musicians, Actors and actresses, Jumokes, Nigerians who make us proud abroad, etc..i see Nigerians heaping praises on them on NL daily.so I don't know where u saw this one. If the youth you are talking about are Northern Muslim Youth, I may agree....but for all othrrs, I beg to differ. Thank you |
Good morning! As na now una wake up. On a serious note: Congrats to her . |
Op, you think this vampires don't know all your ideas? It's never been about the cattle, but the land. |
Spot on OP |
I shall be there! |
My only problem with the administration is the soaring of Drug Prices...patients who hitherto could not afford "essential drugs" in the past, are now being forced to pay three to four times the former price for their routine drugs. Some cannot, thus, they sit there silently dying from Diabetes, to HTN..othrrs have resorted to patronising charlatans and quacks. There's nobody to tell their story since they are mostly people at the extremes of ages who are not tech savvy and have no access to social media to vent their frustrations. GalvusMet is now 14k ( that's an amount an 18k minimum wage earner had to spend in a month to stay alive..others are no different) Does this Govt have any plans for healthcare at all? Just asking. |
