Fayose is obviously passinq a valid messaqe here.

What the Citizen should be concerned about is the development of their state not the physical appearance of its leaders.

I'm very disappointed in the person above my post,no iota of sense at all.

You see why must people run into problem? You are concerned that your present boss makes 80,000 naira in 3 days, have you deducted the original cost of those goods sold to know the balance? Don't forget he would settle his workers, pay for shop rent and other levies.

Please if you got the police job go, when you get a better opportunity elsewhere you can quietly resign.

Police like some agencies don't pay well, but know that your salary as a constable out-weighs what most states pay graduates in civil service. There is job security in the police job too. My dear don't despair, go for the job. Pray yu are posted to a nice place like governor's lodge, government house or attached to a protocol of a mighty politician or money bags you will never want to quite the police force so soon! Please when you've settled down, try and further your education so that you don't stagnate as a junior officer for life! Shalom
Thanks Bro,

What people don't realise is that it may take an average of 5-10years of learning the ropes/business before you attain the potential of making 80k in 3days

Is your monthly salary as a salesman up to a police constables take home?

If not,

1) Join the Nigeria police force ( You are assured of your monthly pay)

2) Save from your monthly salaries

3) With your experience as a salesman you can start the same business in any state they deploy you to. (employ a sales girl)

4) When you've made enough cash from your business you can terminate your appointment with the NPF.

When APC makes promise, never take them seriously, just know that one of the three thing below is likely to happen...
They either deny d promise
or
cancel it
or
execute it on paper.
Then excuse yourself from the programme. It is not by force

bakry86:
Ever since FG informed us via the Npower's FB n twitter pages that npower programme would commence on December 1, d hope of getting December stipend by the selected volunteers was undoubtedly high. Today is 6th day of December and there's no clear evidence that selected unemployed graduate will start anytime soon.

Personally, I think d FG does nt want to employ people to be in charge of npower stuff, they only want to use LG workers without paying them for d service and they
are not ready to render free service. Some of d selected volunteers have visited their local govt with d hope of getting info on what next, only to be told by the LG staff that they have not
received any directive from Ogas at d top, except in Kogi State where the governor had been reported to have done the flag off for d programme.

NOW THE HOPE OF GETTING DECEMBER STIPEND SEEMS TO BE FADDING AWAY.

Can someone who knows someone who knows someone at the helm of npower affairs confirm to us if December pay will grace d bank account of the volunteers. Afterall we've filled in our account details as required.

thanks in anticipation.
This you piece is as useless as any useless thing can be. The programme just commenced and less than a week old, all your focus is on salary. You are not even enthused about the skill and learnings you will get neither are you oriented on helping the society. God forbid if the programme fails, it will not be for wont of trying but for mindset like yours

Mentorkaryhm:
it's production will b threat to other mini tomato companies...
Nope!......

In fact Dangote has plugged himself in a space in the value-chain that gives room for players (farmers and small tomato companies) to prosper. He is exclusively into processing. What was happening was that tomato import from China was humongously taking huge chunk on forex and the Chinese were creaming off so much profit, yet supplying us craps. I encourage anyone to take a random tin or sachet of tomato paste from China. You will be suprised that what you bought is 90-95% starch and 5% tomato.

To the best of my knowledge, it was the CBN that reached out to big players like Dangote to help bridge the gap. What Dangote has done is to build a tomato processing plant. He has farmers who are registered with him. These farmers will be on contract to guarantee selling an agreed volume at Dangote and an indexed price.

Dangote will then sell to small tomato companies, who the Chinese companies have been selling to in the first place

Bros, I understand what you are driving at, but in a country where the cost of recreation, overseas vacation and the basic things that make lives meaningful and bearable for a vast majority of Nigerians are way beyond their reach, where the only things that keeps them sane is little weekend socializing and football with drinks, nkowbi, suya and kilishi, then you don't expect them to not to feel threatened or sentimental.
Nigerians are going through a lot of emotional stress right now occasioned by the policies of this government, so you should expect such mistrust.
That is why I said people should understand the context. The Prof. was not making a policy statement. He was addressing a Academic/Business community. Secondly, non of these has taken away people's choices. Prof Adewole's calling is to save lives and he must do that at every platform he gets. That should not be lost on us.

Wrt situation in the country, I do not see the sustainability of solving or rather drowning our present predicament (self inflicted, i dare say) in socializing, drinks, Nkwobi, Suya and Kilishi etc.If you critically look at it, we need to be resolute and go back to work our way out of ressession. Interestingly, the cows and bulls for Suya and Kilishi still needs to be produced in larger quantity for hides-leather, Milk, Cheese, sophisticated Fura and Kunu, which are things we should consider exporting

FYI - I can die for "Asun" and "Roasted Fish"..... grin grin grin

When the highest house they are mortgaging is a 3 bedroom flat, then it's on the high side. The fact that you can afford it doesn't mean every Lagosian can.
Would you rather its given to you for free? I own a 2 bedroom flat which I bought from Lagos State Government 2 years ago, and the value has practically doubled. Was it a good investment, hell yeah. I live in a well managed estate in the middle of town, and didnt have to cough out the entire value of my apartment to get it.
Bros,

This is the "blind side" people do not consider and probably make them not to take the bold step. A friend once valued my house few years ago and told me, do you know your property is close to a million dollars? I never gave a thought to it like that until he brought it to my consciousness.

We seemly want rewards, yet unwilling to pay the price
Properties › Re: Top 6 Reasons Why the Lagos Rent-to-Own Scheme is Great by mapet: 8:26am On Dec 06, 2016
Exciton:
Actually, the typical price that will be in high demand will be closer to N25 mil than N1.5 mil.

You want a home which involves entering gbese spread over 10 years. No right thinking person wants a 1 room apartment to raise a family in some shitty location that you'll be tied to for 10 years.

The right thinking person will go for a 3 bedroom apartment in a nice location since (s)he might raise a family there for up to or more than 10 years.

However, it's a good deal that will involve monthly payments up to 21k N210k over 10 years (interests not included).

The only problem is that we live in a society with no jobs or poor job security.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
1. No right thinking person should start to raise a family fit for a 3-bedroom (size or quality), when what he can afford is a single bedroom
2. The scheme is for those who can afford it, considering both current income and future potential
3. Even in societies with the famed "job-security" (a term that I doubt truly exists), many cannot afford to buy a house. That is why America for instance keeps coming up with ways to bridge the gap, for example with the "Projects" concept

Story for the gods.

.....neither does it mean "every Lagosian" should either. There are choices, you can choose to take it or let it go. It is not when govt starts distributing houses for free that you will be contented.

The variables you need to consider are - :
1 - All he wants and needs from you is sex
2 - He has a very high sex drive
3 - Your sex drive is not equitable to his drive
4 - If you stop offering, he is bound to look elsewhere
5 - After all the juices are dry, and you don't satisfy his desire anymore (in juice and contours). He would be seeking another supplier
6 - Let's assume he proposes to you(which is unlikely), his sex drive not matching yours, would eventually lead to marital sexual conflicts
7 - He is simply using RPM of your engine (hopefully the engine would not knock)

Take to your heels, heal and find someone else to cherish you......

Scientific contributions[edit]
Adewole is one of Nigeria's most prolific writers in the medical field. He has authored over 200 scholarly articles in learned journals and over 20 books in various areas of medicine.[44] In 2005, he authored Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV in Nigeria; the book was published by the Harvard University Press. In April 2011, he made a presentation on the topic at Global Health Week at Northwestern University, Chicago.[45] In 2007, he co-authored a training manual on sexual and reproductive health and rights and HIV prevention for medical students in Nigeria. The manual is currently being used in medical colleges in Nigerian universities.[46]

He has attended over 100 scientific conferences in more than 20 countries and has presented posters and abstracts at numerous international conferences. For instance, at the International Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections organised held in 2009 in Montreal, Adewole presented his abstract on "Mother's Prophylaxis Regimen Strongly Predicts Risk of Early Mother-to-Child Transmission in Large ART Program in Nigeria".[47] In 2009, he attended the International Aids Conference held in South Africa, where he presented his abstract on the "Impact of Social Support in a PMTCT programme".
