With JB end, there is nothing to show for Lagos to Redeem, Redeem to Shagamu was more about early phase. Same for Shagamu to Ogere. The little progress was the one close to Ibadan...... |

luvinhubby: Stop lying to yourself, Obasanjo concessioned the road to his croony Babalakin who did nothing in 4yrs till GEJ cancelled & reawarded it in 2012 & construction was ongoing there till June last year when Buhari suspended it & resumed work 2 months ago. So in essence it is still an ongoing GEJ project.
God bless GEJ, APC is a fraud. It is disingenuous to lie like this, but it is very stu.pid to lie about a project you don't know where the location is. If you've passed on Lagos- Ibadan Expressway, you will not talk like you did, except you're not sincere. But talking about mess, have you asked yourself how GEJ behaved like an illiterate, canceling a contract without looking at the legal implication. Although I want to believe GEJ never had a clue (as usual) about implication of cancelling concession contract without looking at the terms. GEJ probably NEVER had the intention of fixing that road. He just tried to do "Sagbe loju yoyo" (hurried smoke-screen), to curry favour of the SW when it was obviously shown to him that we was going to loose SW. |

kennygee: If he's helping people, it should not be from his tithe.
The tithe should be brought to God's house so there can be food. Tithes and offering in the times of the old testament was brought to the house of God as a token of appreciation and so there can be food for the Levites, this is because the Levite's were not allowed to work, their own work was to tend to the house of God as priests. -
So they had a portion of these tithes and offeting to cater for themselves and their families. In addition, the Levites were not given any land as inheritance as other 11 tribes. They had no work apart from the tending in the temple. So it's only logical that there is a provision for them. But the tithe was not for the Levites alone. Windows and those who "come" to the house of God with problems were fed from these provision. I can't remember, a king and his army went to the temple, and the priest fed them from the bred of the temple........
Ask the holy spirit for directions. Its most important that you give cheerfully and not grudgingly or under compulsion. |

ikombe: I once read in the bible that tithes are not money given to the church by individuals but edible items which are to be given and later shared among people in the church to eat
Pastors been scaming people since 1918 You're reading the bible out of context. Tithe is from your income. The OT Israelis were Shepherds and Farmers and it is understandable why they bring there first fruits, a tenth of their harvests and offerings of lambs as offerings. In the NT there was currency......when the pharisees talked to Jesus about who should they pay tax to, the Temple or the Caeser. Jesus requested for a coin.......and said "give unto Caeser what is Caeser's and God what is God's". Here he used money in the analogy and not fruits........ Bros, Tithe is basically your act of worship to God. When it gets to God's house it will be used as God directs. Now I know that many of today's Pastors are scammers and use tithe to enrich themselves. Well it depends on who and where you edge your spiritual platform on |

Vendoor:
Do you have conscience at all.
You need biblical references to help people
Ghast 1. Paying tithe is not about conscience. It is an express instruction from God 2. The bible is also clear on giving to the poor and the needy. That is not tithing 3. The Bible expressly requires that we bring our tithe to his house i.e. the Church. We should not re-define the the injunction of the bible to suite our convenience........Obedience is better than sacrifice........ |

She's from where? North? South-south? Do the northerners and south-southerners raise issues with yoruba foods? May be you can remind us the "Ofe-Nmanu" alternative for hausa and ijaw language? 2. We'll if you want to turn my charge on immaturity into lack of exposure into self defence, then review your statement and see the lesson in it. 3. On the 4th, all puns intended. There's a clear difference between voicing an opinion and slanting the other person. Freedom of speech comes with a responsibility to respect the other person. That freedom gives you no right to disrespect and claim liberty to do so and under the guise of jokes. |

My dear, 1. I cannot recall contributing on Yaba market sellers, and I pick my discussions here carefully (seriously or jokingly) 2. If you want to put words in my mouth wrt "flat-heads", then have your fill, I'm uninterested 3. If someone shares a supposed joke and crosses the line, it is only reasonable to call that person to order. Jokes should not denigrate people, it should not insult people, it should not show disrespect for people's way of life 4. The write-up itself connotes immaturity and lack of exposure from the writer and those of you that shares the joke. How do you expect people to see things only from your (easterners) way of life? Must food be always cooked like the Igbos to make it a standard? That you don't take oil makes it that everybody must not take oil? |

Vikings007: I just knew the thread will have some tribalistic comments. Gone are the days when jokes were JOKES. If it was meant to be a joke, unfortunately it was not funny, in fact it was dry. Also there is no way you can pass a joke by denigrating people's way of life. It shows low standards and lack of intelligence on the part of the OP. I'm tempted to regard you same if you think this is just a joke...... It is also plain stu.pid to look at the world through your prism alone. I find it ironical and rather strange that someone from some village is visting Lagos for the first time and try to form an enlightened lady. Meanwhile the opposite is the case. I imagine if the OP ever gets to travel overseas and see different varieties of food of different countries, will she be comparing with her village delicacies as well? |

ichommy: A Nigerian, Ejike Okoye, was nabbed on Tuesday by joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3 (PDEA RO-3) and PDEA-National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR) in a drug sting inside a resto bar along Sumulong Highway in Philippines. He was caught in the act.
According to Manila Bulletin, 33-year-old Ejike (alias "Martin" is said to be a member of West African Drug Syndicate operating in Metro Manila and nearby provinces of Central Luzon.
PDEA RO-3 director Emerson Margate revealed that PDEA RO-3 agents were able to secure a drug deal from Okoye to purchase of 300 grams of shabu for PHP360,000. They agreed to meet inside the resto bar in Marikina City. That was where they arrested the suspect.
Confiscated from the Ejike were six medium-sized resealable transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with a street value of PHP1,050,000 and the marked money used in the anti-drug operation.
Ejike was brought in PDEA Jail Facility in the City of San Fernando for further investigation.

Laid2001: You are only partly correct, In the case of TNP, there is no storing in any storage since storage is at Bonny and crude gets to Bonny through the TNP!. hence when TNP is down, you are out of production. It is still deferment but you are permanently deferred!!. No catch up. You will eventually produce the crude but at a later date and the money is not useful to you when you need it!! Storage can be pre-Bonny and that is why Shell sent a memo to all participants. Basically the memo explains the current situation and production companies simply takes steps. They could reduce their production volumes during the said period |

Meanwhile, to the reasonable ones, this is a simple case of deferment, and not an outright loss. Deferment in Oil and Gas mean a delay in production, operation or sales. It could be planned or unplanned or accidental. This is a case of unplanned deferment. That is why Shell have written to all users of the pipeline.
When deferments like these happens, participants simply pump the crude into large storage tanks on their production facilities. When the pipeline is fixed, them you "ship" the crude. Hence you still get to sell same. |

Nigeria’s crude oil export dipped further by 130,000 barrels per day, as operators yesterday said the Trans Niger Pipeline, TNP, operated by Shell Nigeria, has been shut down after a leak was discovered on the pipeline. The operator, who chose not to be named, said a memo was sent out to participants in the TNP, that the pipeline was expected to be shut down for at least a week. The shutdown would see a deferment of about 130,000 barrels per day crude oil export, which would cost Nigeria about $6.716 million, an equivalent of N1.343 billion daily. This was even as another operator said the Nembe Creek Trunk Line, NCTL, carrying Bonny Light crude oil to the export terminal has been reopened.
The operator said the pipeline which was shut down last month by the operator, Aiteo, has been repaired and is operating again. Sources said that Bonny Light production from the Aiteo field was also ramping up after the pipeline restart. The Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP), according to Shell, transports around 180,000 barrels of crude oil per day to the Bonny Export Terminal and is part of the gas liquids evacuation infrastructure, critical for continued domestic power generation (Afam VI power plant) and liquefied gas exports. Shell said the TNP loopline project created an alternative route to avoid sabotage, bypassing areas where theft and illegal refining was common.
Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/06/nigeria-loses-130000bpd-n1-3bn-daily-shell-shuts-tnp/ Ok Wailers, let's make it easy for you fools. Buhari, why are you creating hardship to shell, forcing them to carry out corrective maintenace on a leaky pipeline? Don't you know that wailers will prefer that spillage should occur and destroy their lands, causing loss of revenue and chaos in ND? |
