sunnyb0b0: What do you know? Naira has depreciated to about N294 from N199 in the official market meaning that every $ the FG earns is sold for N294 against N199 previously. So, for every N199 earned initially, they are now earning N294. So the naira earnings would increase even if actual earning in $ didn't.
For example, if the govt earned $2bn in the previous month, that would be N398bn while the same earning of $2bn today would be N588bn.
You gerrit? See one-way-traffic-thinking? So those that source for Dollars for forex transaction, FG inclusive, also buy the Dollar @N199? |

Mrchippychappy: : There is no money to pay workers, no money to empower students, no money to empower the Nigerian youth, no money for power supply, no money for infrastructure in the densely populated middle / low economy class residential areas and YET there is money to spend on frivolous "eye candy" projects. SMH Nigeria. So much for being "progressives" Firstly, this this is a private sector project, its like a private estate being built for the top echelon. There's nothing frivolous about it; it brings jobs, will keep bringing jobs even far into the future, it boosts the economy of the state and country, it's extremely beautiful and it boosts the reputation of Nigeria at large.
And remember, the main reason this project was conceived was to act as an embankment/barrier to protect victoria island from being washed away by the encroaching sea. Talking about great ideas, if this is not a PROGRESSIVE idea, then I wonder what could be progressive according to your school of thought. While we can excuse @Mrchippychappy's bigotry, his arrogance in ignorance and laziness in diligence is questionable. You mean people can be ignorant when virtually all the facts are right in their faces. |

realmenrealhats: we are not jobless. and you are in no right to judge me, dear. it should have been more unfortunate that you failed to note that "intent" goes with "full" and not "filled" (would you get another skill now that you are judged based on your grammatical error? I do not think so). It is unfortunate that we have a system that disregard the value of hard work or skill. It is unfortunate that even our leaders placed us in a situation to do such cheating. It is unfortunate that our educational system that certifies graduates failed to teach them before unleashing them to the field. It is unfortunate that even our president cannot defend his own certificate. It is unfortunate that sitting governors themselves have no clue what schools they attended. It is unfortunate that our system cannot afford for citizens of their own ancestors. It is unfortunate that you find my cousin's situation unfortunate without trying to change the cause. It is also unfortunate that bankers without any skill as to money handling and business management training are sitting in place of finance management while business professionals hawk the streets selling groundnut and riding Keke for their daily bread. It is unfortunate that you cannot advise my cousin to look for a job in his field of studies, rather you flung him to the class of learning a skill. It is unfortunate that you failed to see that the skill a man has perfected for 5 years already is not a skill. It is unfortunate for you to see that someone is suffering from prejudice and disregard. It is quite unfortunate that you got judgmental before typing your comment. It is unfortunate that you showed no feeling as to the content of the message, but you chose to condemn two persons. It is unfortunate that you will also proceed to judge others without looking inwards to judge yourself for the unfairness that you dish out to others on daily basis. IAnd finally, it will be even more unfortunate when you look closely to note that others who are more qualified and certified are dying to get the opportunity or position that you have right now and they are being denied. Lastly, it is unfortunate that you failed to read my comment properly to understand that comments like yours would not be appreciated. Starting from your last statement, I was never patronising you, neither is there any sense in your litany of excuses. I do not even think neither your cousin nor you deserve any empathy with the useless excuses you laid down. You have not said anything new, that had not been seen before. That your cousin is skillful, and so what? If he was that next best thing after slice bread, then you will not be here shamelessly making appeal to buy forged certificate. Are you that lazy that you cannot advise your cousin to enrol in evening classes in NOUN, to say the least.......if he needs a certificate? Secondly, your reply is so filled with a looser mentality.......blaming everybody and every other conditions for your circumstances except yourself. No wonder you seek to buy a fake certificate Meanwhile, quit the cousin smokescreen. Tell the truth, it is you who want to buy the fake certificate |

realmenrealhats: How can i get authentic fake BSc certificate? See, my cousin is very skillful and very knowledgeable in his field that he has been working in for 5 years now. he has even trained many certificate-claimed engineers in the field. He is about to be dropped on account of his certification. Now, An opportunity has come for him, but he needs a B.sc certificate to back it up. He can very well defend himself practically and theoretically, but lacks the certificate. Times are hard now and one cannot let opportunities like this slip away. He is the breadwinner of 5 kids without a father and he is about to lose it all or get it all in this company. He has OND in political science and that is not a criterium for this job. so, how can he get an authentic fake Certificate ASAP? cephaswizzy: Out of about 100students dat offered dat course, about 70 of them FAILED. if abt 70pple out of 100pple taking a Course fails: My view is that its the LECTURER that has FAILED & not d students, because it only means the lecturer did not impact anything in them. I'm out of that jungle alright but I think its time things change in that Alma Mata of mine, lecturers should stop releasing their frustrations on students!... I hear pple talk about d amt of 1st Class graduates from UNILAG, Covenant or other universities in 9ja & d only thing dat comes to my mind is ; "thank God, them no come UNIUYO"... The truth is UNIUYO students can read for Africa ehnn... & a lot of very-very brilliant students graduate with a grade not proportional to what they shud have had becos of the wickedness from some lecturers in that compound. There is one que I would like to ask all lecturers(help me ask them too pls); IF EVERYBODY TAKING YOUR COURSE PASS, WILL YOU DIE ? "This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man." - ShakespeareBros, Let's tell ourselves some home truth, this generation of youths are on the average lazy. We want quick fixes and don't want to pay the price. We want to take the fast lane. Blaming the lecturer is like living in fools paradise. University is not a place where you are taught like secondary school. You're expected to have attained a level of independence in capacity to study. There is a level of diligence that is necessary and no matter your claimed brilliance, your results at the end of the day determines how you're rated. |

luvinhubby: Obviously you are either superflously ignorant or you are pretending to be literate when you are intellectually hollow.
Of what benefit was a concession when for 5yrs the concessionaire could not resurface 2km of a 110 km road & to you, GEJ should have allowed the lame concession because of the legal 'palava' which is like allowing cancer to kill one because of the fear of pain & bloodletting of a surgery.
To you an awarded contract that has reached 40% completion is a smoke screen, i see, education is truly not literacy if you cannot differentiate an ongoing contract & a white elephant project. There is an adage in yoruba that says "two people don’t lose out in a lie. If the person being lied to is unaware, the liar cannot be". I am at loss where to properly place you, an ignorant village bush living in denial or patent liar. Either ways you will achieve something in your game of deceit Your needless questions does not negate the fact that GEJ took crude and costly decisions in way of cancelling the concession and caused Nigeria more. Truth be told, the concession that he met was a political approach to slieze that the PDP folks concucted and partook in. GEJ's reversal of it led to Bi-Courtney going to court. And I guess you didn't know that the "lame Legal palava" grounded the project for over a year, even after GEJ/Julius Berger/RCC initial gragra. That this project was not going to move an inch further, when Babalakin went to court and rightly got an injunction on Julius Berger and RCC. That it took Fashola & Osinbajo's intervention this year, facilitating and out of court settlement, before Bi-Courtney could sieze fire An awarded contract that has reached 40%? Bros, are you here to provide comic relief? The last quote on the completion by the govt. rep was less than 30%, and that is a combination of Bi-courtney's and JB/RCC. Even as we speak, the project cannot in all sincerity claim a 25% completion. But considering that you obviously do not know a thing about the scope of the project, neither am I sure you've passed through that road of late |

My concern now is the Ooni. I know he is young, and trying very much to give the Yoruba race a relevant voice in the scheme of things around the world.
But,over exposure is bad. And this can lead to the trivialization and casualization of the throne.
Take a cue from all the past Oba's of Benin. It was a rarity to see any of them. Just imagine?an Oba with his goddess sitting on an ordinary party table.
This is not good. Oba of Benin is different from Oni of Ife. Benin is not an authority on how Oba's must behave. This is what I don't understand with Benis............. When did Benin become standard? |
