On what basis did you decide that Charles Soludo has a better profile? He is not the only first class holder of an Economics degree there or is it because of ethnic affiliations and your usual persecution complex?

Buhari should have constituited this team a long time ago, osinbajo heading economic team was a NO NO
Well given. You learn, adjust, calibrate and get better.

We must also realise that this crack-team is devoid of political leanings. Aside from Soludo who is PDP, all others are simply professionals. I hazard a guess that these guys are called for a "special assignment". The fall-out of America-China trade war may kick in another round of recession next year. We need to start defending our position right now and fight to take strategic advantages based on our strengths. Guys! we need to buckle up. Tough decisions will be made based on the advise these guys will give. VAT is going up; Fuel subsidy will go.....

However, the way I see it is that if Buhari himself could sacrifice his personal ego as the primary 'victim' of Seun Onigbinde's caustic criticisms to bring him on board to use his expertise, then the complementary thing for me to do as a Buhari supporter is to support the big picture he is painting.

.
This above is what I bow to.....at the end of the day we must let our maturity guide us ....and that the big picture overrides

Ps. I typed this on my phone but didn't send till Seun turned in his resignation

Come on, Seun Onigbinde did not commit mass murder. He just accepted to help move Nigeria forward. Of what use is any criticism if it does not impact positively on the society.
It was beyond criticism. How do you go beyond criticism to cast terrible aspersion on other people just because they don't agree with you? How do you call people "closet bigot" and ethnic jingoists" just because they made A CHOICE? Why do you insult people just because they voted Buhari? Let me tell you how I see a person who does that, a slowpoke.

I don't begrudge Seun Onigbinde for getting the job; if he's the best man for the job, then by all means he should get it? The other thing I don't get is Seun's lack of HONOUR. Less than 12months ago he swore to the high heavens he will never take a Buhari-govt appointment. He'd denigrated govt a lot of times and "barked" at people who called him to order. Now what kind of a man "transforms" from that to being an appointee? We've blamed old politicians in the past for criss-crossing and no ideology.... how is Seun any different? How is Seun any different from FFK whom OBJ surmised as - "give him food.....and he will sing for you"?

I wish in God's speed in "helping move Nigeria forward".......

I will say this for the last time, if you plan to vote for Buhari or you encourage him for another term, you don't love Nigeria. You are either a closet ethnic jingoist or someone who loves mediocrity
This was prior to 2019 election

First delete Buhari from your mind, alternatives will emerge
When he was challenged to make a stand and not be a closet Atiku supporter

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EEVcd29UcAM2GR0?format=jpg&name=small

I lost respect for him way back;

1. This was someone that boldly agreed that BudgIT many times used "blackmail-tactis" to extract data from govt agencies and would go ahead to publish some data even when they know it's incomplete.
2. This was someone that at a point practically abandoned the "over-watch" ethos of the BudgIT as an independent and unbiased outfit and took political positions.

How can someone go back to his vomit? Seun Onigbinde lacks class and I dare say integrity. With the passage of time we only discovered that all the sharade (BudgIT) was a means to an end - govt appointment.

You need to understand how things play here. Yes she will pay her lawyer; but a cost needs to be benchmarked. This is in part for the records, for an agreement with her lawyer and for the courts. The judges will decide and equitable rate at a point during the case, if Busola wins, then Biodun may be asked to bear the cost amongst other punishments.

These are not thieves. They're all taking what naturally belongs to them. If they're all Niger Deltans o!

How many fulani oil well owners have ever been paraded since the civil war of 1970? Do Hausafulanis deserve to possess Oil blocs that God gave Niger Delta people? Yet they owned 90% of all oil resources and still manage the Oil sector firmly with Buhari as pet minister.

Abeg leave those guys joor
1. They are thieves, even if their are Niger-Deltans
2. The moment the constitution stipulates that ownership of everything in the sub-surface belongs to the FG, then Oil in Niger-Delta belongs to all Nigerians, just as Gold in Ilesa and Zamfara for example.
3. Fulanis do not own 90% of the oil blocks in Nigeria. That is a lie, there is not factual evidence that supports this. Rather data shows that ownership of oil blocks is distributed well enough https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/the-north-does-not-control-nigeria-s-oil-blocks.html

Is this one a government?

I have read reasonable reactions and actions from some African countries on the Xenophobic attack, I'm yet to read one from Buhari.

Rather, the administration has left the fight to Nigerians to do themselves.
If the President had done what is required of him long before today, the government of SA would have acted according, to say the least, awoken to the bilateral responsibility of providing security coverage to endangered foreigners in moment of crises, like we do over here.
But the SA government has seen that our own government is 'very responsive and responsible', that's why they do the way they do.
Imagine how many job cuts Nigerians will suffer for all the burnings and lootings that happened across Nigeria yesterday and may still happen afterwards.
So you want the president to start insulting and cursing SA or what?
The president can't join ppl to loot bizs owned by SA. This issue will only be resolved diplomatically. The AU can be called on to sanction SA
For many of them, they want the President to threaten "Fire & Brimestone", direct Nigerians to retaliate or better still slap Ramaphosa.....that is when he would be seen to have acted "appropriately".... fools

There was a Stay issued before the appeal was heard and upheld.Immediately the stay was issued, the clowns ran to reinstitute in the UK.

Efcc wouldn't go after them until Nigeria is to pay. Efcc acts on petitions. That company paid a 40M dollar bribe to get their documents signed but they ended up being scammed.

It's their loss, let them keep sinking money.
I may need a link not that photo. the Nigerian won't be scared if a US court has issued a favorable judgement.

so efcc should not go after those who signed a fraudulent contract that is already costing Nigeria it reputation and finance (or you think we don't spend in defending ourselves in court?). efcc should not go after those that signed a fraud that is threatening to take away 1/3 of our reserve?

the only reason stopping our security agencies from acting is that same powerful individuals who signed this fraud are now part of the cabal running this government
I think it is only honorable that you mention names specifically. Who is/are it/those that signed the deal and part of the cabal in this government. You people should stop insulting people's intelligence if yours refuses to function.

But why always Igbos? please don't take my question wrongly, I sincerely want to know out of curiosity not tribalism, I like Igbo language
It's largely a failure of leadership, and a decay in values...

This is what happens when society worships money, and accords undue respect to wealthy people with no query as to the source of such wealth... This is not the African, nor Igbo culture of time past.

Sadly, it will get worse... Many more are determined to get a piece of that heaven even if it means taking a short cut through hell.

There has to be massive reorientation, and indoctrination on the need to be legit even in the pursuit of the good life.
You are largely correct. I believe these patterns are grievous consequences of people's value system eroded. The greater problem for me is that these erosion of value system is spreading like virus and other ethnic peoples are not absolved either. Look at the share "population" of yahoo-yahoo; the society was almost "accepting" them.....and that was even more alarming. If Ruggedman can be attacked in London and Naira Marley who openly supports yahoo boys both in songs and videos can be adored what do you think this bodes for us? What do we make of a situation where Noble Igwe that pointed attention to where yahoo-funds moves is vilified and people like Hushpuppi who brazenly argued that yahoo-yahoo is "improving the economy" is celebrated?

If young Igbo boys just show up and build edifice as comparable to "Minna-Hills" and drive posh cars as valuable as a 6-bedroom flat...all without visible and sensible means of livelihood, are we not to be alarmed. We get carried away when they come for "Christmas" and splash; go to clubs and later post reciept of over N5m on SM......stewpid girls open legs.

I have re-evaluated my stand on this. Calling for a one-Nigeria camaraderie is useless in this terrible situation. Let's begin to call out peoples, question our values, call out individuals, direct the attention of law enforcement to these people, then we are truly on about solving this plague.

You cant expose a client to the world like this. Very unprofessional. If i was Bobrisky i will sue him for breach of business privacy, slander and so much more. Just that even bobrisky is guilty for more sever offence so it will boomerang.

Although its possible that he did this because he knows bobrisky might come out first and twist the story against him.
err... can I advise you "be slow to speak"?

1. Bobrisky alread almost damaged his brand with his vitrols. Did you see the part where Bobrisky asked anybody not to deal with him? worse still infered dealing with another auto-dealer was better?
2. The only sensible thing to do here is to bring out the FACTS. If one of the parties had stayed professional and to the terms of the agreement would there have been any need for this? Even with the party as cancelled, all that was appropriate to do was to wait till that is resolved with the Police or pay up the full amount and have access to the car immediately.

Meanwhile, I wonder what the fake life was all about. You were about to present yourself with a car as a birthday gift when you're still indebted on it. These celebrities and their fake lives. That was how a club owner in Lekki closed down his business when he was carrying almost N100m in receivables mostly from celebrities.
