Airforce1:I see someone trying so hard to justify his dropping out from school. Apart from the certificate, get it for posterity...who knows, you may need it someday. If Education is valueless like you claim, someone like Obj who has attained the highest height in life shouldn't had bothered furthering. The primary aim of going to school is to gain knowledge and get you equipped for the outside world. it's here in Nigeria that people attend school with the sole aim of searching for a job rather than being educated. Little wonder in most high institutions, students aren't passionate about acquiring the degree, they are always like "make 4 years do make I commot for here" . Note: I'm neither saying one can't be successful without education, but you can't just underestimate it's importance. |
shaybebaby:True. In any case are you the one on your DP? |
shaybebaby:I never meant to make generalizations, but finding those kinda girls on the media is very easy than getting them in reality. On the media, everyone tries to, or at least pretends to be good, not neglecting the fact that there real good ones. Ighotago? you dig? |
shaybebaby:Girls that call to check on me, do stuffs for me, make me laugh, take me out, good listeners, not always basking on what to get from me... |
shaybebaby:Lol how can, that saying doesn't reflect reality, doesn't mean I don't have really nice ladies in my life. |
The photographer who took these shots deserve to be beaten to stupor... Happy married life to the couples though |
shaybebaby:Stale. |
kizolo:It's not always about money but Money makes it easier. One told me point blank last week, that if I can give her more than what her current bf is giving her, she would leave him for me. Life just tire me.. |
Why is that we find 'self acclaimed' good girls on the media but the reverse is the case in reality? |
hmmm |
shervydman:Shervy, you fall my hand o, how dare you compare Kano with Ogun?? forget the media and visit Kano, then come back and give your testimony.. For now, I would pardon your ignorance ![]() |
Each time I visit Lokoja, I see misery in the faces of the people, they lament and wail all day about non payment of salaries. The state is dead with nothing moving cos it's a civil service state, yet some still applauded the fool of a governor. A state divided so much along tribal line, I think Kogi and Benue states were cursed with Bad leaders! |
. |
Fongido:Lol that sef na another yawa. You can't deny the fact that most first generation federal universities have more standards than their state counterparts. I visited a state Uni and was shocked at the rate of unseriuosness, people that had exams the next day went for parties, after all they can sort or cheat willingly in the exam hall... But in all, I think the personal ability of a person is more relevant before asking of the school they attended cos we have both serious and unserious students everywhere. |
Chairman, Ass lickers association NL branch. Onye oma C.Y, watin concern me sha |
My case was somewhat similar to yours. Fûck distance relationship Bruv, that shit doesn't work. I'm sure I had more trust for my own than you sef, but she told me to my face that she's not responsible to me, I refused to believe what I heard until the reality dawned on me. If not that I'm strong hearted, hmmm...don't trust any girl, much more one that is far apart. I really thank God for side chicks shaa.. |
Which kind of hypocritical humans are these? So Fayose is now a real Yoruba man, not like some people.... What about FFK that told him to resign as a birthday gift? He is igbo or Hausa I guess. Going by your premises, I would say I have never seen a pained and sadist tribe like the Yoruba's if that's all FFK could blurt out on Buhari's birthday, the hatred is innate in you guys. |
So much hard truths in one post. If polytechnics want to measure up with the University, they should make their entry requirements same as well as many other things that have been said. For now, it is more like a dumping ground for those rejected in the University, unless you still intend to acquire a degree which would give you an edge. I remember how I wrote Jamb several times and struggled to enter the University, I knew my mates that went to the Polytechnic after a trial out of frustration because of "My mates are all in school" mentality. Polytechnic is good for technical and engineering courses as it can get you self employed. Even at that, an Engineering University graduate is still ahead of you because he gives directions while the technicians carry out the practical duties. In conclusion, get the fùcking degree!! |
I've been pondering on this topic for a while so I decided to bring it here on a public forum to get the views of most Nigerians. Nigerians by their nature are very hypocritical to say the least. Most times we shy away from talking about things that really matter because they are considered strange whilst people still engage in them, albeit, in secrecy. Some weeks ago, Nigeria and Kenya among other African countries toppled the chart of countries with the highest view of gay porn. Now the irony of the whole thing is that we live in a society which is filled with bunch of hypocrites. Who then watches these gay porn videos hence majority of Nigerians both online and offline criticize gay practice a lot? We Nigerians or say Africans claim to be morally upright, but the events of the dynamic world has brought up some questions which deserves quick answers, and to a large extent, question the degree of our morality. The western world on the other hand, is filled with Literalists, little wonder many of those countries have legalized gay marriages, everyone is free to practise whatever they want, so far you don't encroach into the rights of another. I'm writing this with all levels of conviction because I've had first hand experience both online and offline with gay people. I have had people visit me and vice versa, and at night, I notice them start behaving funny, in most cases, I leave the bed for them and sleep on the floor or retire to another room as the case may be. But who would ever suspect these people are gay? Because they seem to be morally upright, they are people I have trust and respect for, some are people in the high level strata of our society. Should I shock you guys? Many of our renowned pastors, priests, friends, teachers, Lecturers, course mates, politicians, celebrities, etc are gay! We may abuse and ridicule people like Bob risky who openly display their sexuality, he often gets bashed online, but the biggest question is who are those that patronize him? Alot of people in our society hide their sexuality because of the society stereotype and all that, don't be surprised to see the number of gay couples that would suffice if eventually gay marriage is legalized in Nigeria. That first guy who jumps to criticize gay people may be himself, gay! same goes for the ladies, that is the society we find ourselves in. Now haven juxtaposed the both words 'Morality' as its related to Africans, and 'Liberalism' as found in the Western world, which would you choose? Should we continue to claim morality with many others dying in silence and as well breeding a society filled with hypocrites, OR... should we accept Liberalism and a free society where everyone would be free to practise whatever they want so far as they don't step on anyone's toes without any law holding them in check? Should we say our morality is this case is more like a mirage as people still do what they want in secrecy and uphold Liberalism? I actually like to have the opinion of people, please be very sincere because many are dying in silence. MORALITY OR LIBERALISM?? Cc: Lalasticlala Myd44 Seun, let's get the opinion of people in this trivial issue. |
Post contains an atom of truism...preach on bruv |
I found myself in the exact scenario you found yourself, I was hurt when she said she had a boyfriend. I just picked up what was left of my dignity and left her. I cut off all ties with her, stopped calling, chatting and seeing her. She has been wailing on social media platforms about how I have ignored her. Atimes I find it herculean a task to decipher what women actually want. Abeg nobi my heart them go take play chess, be the man and take that bold step. Girls many, though it's not gonna be easy specially if you love her... |
Everyone, I repeat; Everyone has one time in their life experienced depression, both the rich and poor. Even most people and celebrities you see on social media pretending to be happy are suffering from severe depression. All those stunts they put up are make believe. Sweden is a rich and developed country by international standards, but the rate of suicide there should tell you something is wrong. However, Depression has levels. Some people are strong enough to hold it while others are not. The experiences I read here has made mine seem like a child's play, people are really passing through alot, reason you shouldn't judge people unless you know the reasons for their actions. Most comments people make on here can also lead one to depression, there are some group of fools who parade this section calling girls ugly, this could hurt their self esteem and lead to eventual depression. One sinister experience I wouldn't forget among others was when someone I regard more than a friend, (cos we grew up together) whom I was living with gave me an ultimatum to pack out for him before a week runs out. He didn't give me any tangible reason, but I suspect it was because of his female friends that would be visiting... where would I go to? Man's inhumanity to his fellow man!. At that moment, suicidal thoughts filled my minds, people that had me on Facebook and other social media platforms could tell from the kind of posts and pictures I paste. I really thank God for those who stood with me, the whole thing has made me stronger. Depression is very bad, when someone makes a post about committing suicide, it doesn't really mean they intend doing it, they just need words of encouragement to get life going, but some fools on social media who hasn't experienced shii doesn't know what it entails, so they make jokes outta it. I've been countering them and won't relent on it, I'm actually conducting a precise research on depression which I believe would impact on alot of people. Let's join hands to save humanity, thanks fitnessdoctor for bringing this up. We most times fail to talk about things that really do matter. |
The leaders of Kogi and Benue states are a disgrace to humanity. I would be dignifying them by mentioning their names. Okorocha of IMO is a pot bellied fool who In a sane clime, handling the post of the headmaster would be a luxury, much more a whole state. Most of our governors are all failures, some are just worse than others. |
Atiku ? I blame Buhari for this. The mere fact that people are considering Atiku is surprising to me. But hence the present disposition of things has failed, people now envisage things would be better with just anyone apart from the Fulani man from Daura. I pray I forgive Buhari someday. |
From my experience with girls, cheap ones are the toxic ones who go to the extreme to prove they are not cheap. The real hard ones are very polite, them go the smile but my brother, their heart strong. They could even give you their numbers in the scenario like you described, but would snub you if they don't find you interesting. |
Naso I take waste my data? Op if you call this dirty, then you haven't visited a real club before |
judgedredd22:Lol Boy, I'm not here to meddle words with you, if you weren't a dunce you would had known that was a typographical error from my auto-correct. But hence you want to use it to score a cheap point, I wouldn't deny a poor boy like you that. That the internet gave everyone the opportunity doesn't mean you throw words at anyone you meet, but you may be a jambite or an undergraduate who is still basking in the euphoria of his delusions, so I won't bombard you much. Now keep swerving... |
judgedredd22:And who is this mentally deranged home erectus masturbating on my mentions? Surprise me, say something smart or swerve away to the land of the dead you miserable disgrace of a man. |
I find it rather illogical when people, even so called Nigerians pick Lagos as a state and use it to generalize about the whole country, this habit is long overdue and some of us find it irritating and annoying! I saw a thread where a Nairalander who visited Ghana, used the experience he had in one part of Lagos (cos am sure he hasn't visited the CBD and it's environs) to make a comparative analysis about both countries and came to a hasty conclusion. I was ashamed of him when I saw the pictures he posted, cos I'm sure he hasn't gone around. The Poster also didn't put the population and Landmass of both countries into consideration, the whole of Ghanian population is just slightly ahead that of Lagos, Ghana also has villages and slums which he didn't visit. Lagos is only a state in Nigeria, if anywhere should be used as a model in his analysis, it should be Abuja city, cos it's the capital. It's just like taking Abuja and concluding Nigeria is better than another country, Or visiting VI, Lekki, Banana Island in Lagos and make same conclusions, it doesn't sound logical. There are places in Enugu which can match what he posted in all facets, Nigeria is not all about Lagos, we have other cool cities which aren't as congested. Like Uyo, Enugu, PH, Calabar, Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, Akure, Ibadan and the rest. We don't have constant electricity which is an established fact, we may also have other myriad problems, but I also wish to reiterate that No country is without it's own problems. I'm not trying to uphold mediocrity nor exonerate our politicians, but only out to put the records straight! Lagos is not Nigeria, I'm a Nigerian and I don't live in Lagos! let it sink in your brains most especially these folks that don't travel, enough of the disgrace. Cc: Mynd44 Lalasticlala |
