Family › Re: (married Only)how Do You Signal To Your Partner That You Are In The Mood For Sex by MARKone(m): 8:03pm On Jul 08, 2014
The right moment calls for it, the two of you should be able to feel it, other than that, learn to train ur mind to let go, having $£* with someone who is not in the mood can be quite frustrating.

Family › Re: Adjusting To Life As A Widower by MARKone(m): 6:14pm On Jul 07, 2014
RTFM: I stumbled on this thread by accident this evening. No that is not true I think i must have been led here by a higher power.
I have been on Nairaland for quite a few years and hardly ever comment or interact.
My wife passed suddenly on the 20th of May and I have been lost without her.
We were married for 17 years, the best years of my life and I have been finding it difficult to cope.
We did not have children so we lived for each other. My life revolved around her and she was my soul mate.
All I am and have achieved has been because of her support and love and I am bereft without her.
Losing her is the hardest thing and worst pain I have ever experienced.
My mum died almost two years ago, so in the space of two years, I have lost the two most important women in a man's life.
I have returned to work and put on a brave face but the tears are never far and when I return to an empty apartment I fall apart all over again.
I have read every page of this thread seeking comfort, a way to cope but the pain is still too much right now.
Serubawon, thank you for your inspirational story of hope and joy rediscovered. I am really happy for you.
Thank you for showing that there is hope if one remains steadfast.
Life closes in to being meaningless when you loose those who means so much to you, like the women you've lost. My heart feels for you sir. Times I wish we had powers to bring back the dead, especially those whom we hold dear.......na wah, just be strong.

Sorry.
Politics › Re: The Fraud Called Goodluck Ebele Jonathan And PDP: Wole Soyinka by MARKone(m): 9:45pm On Jul 06, 2014
Cost of running governance in nigeria, is diabolically expensive, annoyingly, nothing much can be shown or justifies such huge allocations.

...I don't think this was from the prof.

Your story get as e be, so many questions to ask, few people people to blame.

Blame yourself

Blame your parents

I don't blame the guy, for he found a desperate soul.

Please do not go back to the guy, there is no future with him, latching on will only end in sorrow.

Ur parents...how did they even allow this. Did you elope with the guy, or u simply told them, u r off to SA to stay with my guy, and they answered u "Go well".

U better bring ur self back to Nigeria before it is too late.

Inkredible: Of course they will gladly receive the kid but the shock this message is about to cause will be huge o. My tots sha. Anyways I appreciate ur suggestion.
Nah will be only temporal. Let your mom break the news, if your mom won't be able to do it, let ur friend man up and break the news, in fact, I will prefer him doing it. At 24, he is no longer a kid. Let him start with the parent he is closet to, they won't kill him, and inside that stern posture, will be a joy of being a Grandparent.
Business › Re: My Online Shopping Experience With Jumia by MARKone(m): 9:17pm On Jul 03, 2014
Dee60: I suggest you try some other approach, possibly going to their office. Trying to de-market a brand on social media can rob that company of important goodwill. Remember that it takes a lot to build reputational capital and anyone in business knows this. Jumia does well 99% of the time and that is good enough. They are humans remember.

I know how you feel being tossed around but please remember that you could be in Jumia's shoes tomorrow. Who would not want to be as successful as them.

I think it is next to impossible for any company to get it right 100% of the time.

Please calm down.
Humans indeed. Converting ones' cash to voucher, without that person's consent is inhuman and fundamentally wrong.

misssPepper: Church wedding, in a catholic church.. I moved out. D marriage was just a year old
Catholic Church huh That was rather too fast undecided

Anyway get ur self a lawyer, if you cannot afford one, go to any social welfare nearest to you and make a case. The child is still very young to be separated from you, and I believe your in laws are aware of this. But note that the law still permits the man to come for the child when she attains a certain age. And finally, remember that the child will one day ask after her father.

Family › Re: hello? by MARKone(m): 6:30pm On Jun 29, 2014
5minsmadness: Isn't it obvious that someone is putting pressure on him not to marry you, probably his parents? They probably were in the dark about your genotype as well and he just told them and they are putting the squeeze on him to drop you. Confront him with this and encourage him to talk about what has made huk change his mind then tell him you've been through the same doubts and you are ready to go through any difficulty with him. Don't just give up, fight for your man!
Which man? The man no be "man" jare. What I find revulsive is that the man is supposed to be learned, a medical doctor, I mean he should have known what is/should be involved.

He was the one that convinced her, he was not forced to meet the lady's parents, and he made his intentions known. Why get every bodies hope high, and ends up dashing it. OP should just ignore him kpatakpata.
Family › Re: hello? by MARKone(m): 6:09pm On Jun 29, 2014
My sister if ur story is true, then that guy is very heartless and wicked, and does not deserve you. I don't why some men are very insensitive, is he a baby, can't he think!!!, so after meeting with ur parents over his intentions, sends word out, he now decides to chicken out via txt msg, the dude no even get "balls" to say it in front of u, very immature person.

Babe just move on, God might just have saved you from one crisis. Pick up the pieces of ur life and move, don't look back o, no time... God will give you ur partner, and AA for that matter.

First pregnancy, you are likely to experience some really weird shyte my brother.

...some turn to Pitt Bulls during that period, very aggressive

You should try to encourage her to be eating, moderately though, get her a lot of beverages and try and be romantic by spoon feeding her grin might help her regain her appetite. And don't forget to take her to the hospital if need be.
