Yes, they are students.
About the 40% tax, you get it back when you declare you tax at the end of the year if you don't earn above 8k.
So, I think it is a win-win.
But like I said earlier, the higher you earn, the more likely you spend more. You just have to be super discipline to save up. There are other ways of getting your money back even if you pay the 40% tax. Get a good Tax adviser and you will surprise with the knowledge you will gain.
Please what IT skills can one use to secure a good student job? I have knowledge of Java & Python programming language, CCNA, Oracle Database administration nd Linux system administration.

Besides Duolingo, where else can I actually learn German? I work 8 to 5 and could use some two hours everyday. Any online platforms??
Duolingo on it's own is very good, there are other options e.g Memrise

I don't think his stuff will be sent to the Abuja address. But rather they will be sent to the address he writes on his prepaid courier envelope he submits. Your residential address could be different from your postal address. Just that you have to make sure it is well spelt out.
Won't it be better to be consistent with the address? Note that even people in Abuja environs e.g Plateau state were sent to Lagos for their interview. It would be better to stick with an Abuja address all through to prevent unnecessary questioning

yes, there is need. Just inform them to disregard that mail, that you have gotten an appointment in Abuja. It's better to send it with the email you used first.

I was only given one appointment . which is Abuja.
You don’t seem to understand me. I want to know if there is any need to state that they should disregard the application that I did with Lagos address.
Let's pray it's ignored. Else the embassy would become more strict with Abuja appointments. And hope you know your stuff from the embassy would be sent to the Abuja address upon receiving AM.

I finally got Appointment date today. My interview will be on 17th august, enrollment deadline 11th October.
The last mail on Appointment booking i sent early this morning was as brief as possible in this format

Subject: Request For Student Visa Appointment

Body:
Dear Sir,

FULL name:.....
Residential Address:...... (Same as early sent, Ogun state)
Please find attached documents requested for (I listed all docs.)

Note I used my name to rename all docs. Accordingly (for example. XXXX AAA International Passport, XXXX AAA Admission Letter.. Just in that order)

I sent the the mail by 7am on the dot today, I got the first reply from a staff by 8: 12am today that my doc has to be clearer and more eligible. Actually I used PDF online editing site to reduce the size of my admission letter and international passport earlier. This affected the quality and I dint notice it cos I was using phone for all these. I had to work on the originals again and had the best possible graphic quality and resent by 11am. I got a reply from same staff again that I should wait patiently for my date. 4hours later I got a date. Thanks to everyone that assisted in one way or the other.
Nice one, I suspected that you all complaining about non response were doing something wrong. At least now there's clarity on appointment date availability

I studied TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT in my first degree and I intend going for Master in supply chain management in Germany, I'm currently having my NYSC program but I needed to start the processing on time, I would be glad if I could be assisted in this platform. I needed someone that could devote his/her to put me through all the admission process.

Hmm... Siegen and those strong headed people at the Auslanderbehorde.

Well, the problem with Siegen according a friend like a brother is "Die zug ended dort, Alles Fahrgäste musst aussteigen grin "
Hello Doplaz, thanks for your valuable contribution to this thread, please what in particular is wrong with the Foreign Office in Siegen?

Also hope this statement is talking about train usage literally "Die zug ended dort, Alles Fahrgäste musst aussteigen grin "

Any advantage of getting Germany PR over Yankee PR, or Aussie PR? My plan is to port to yankee or Aussie after studying in Germany.
Same here, I'm trying really hard to learn the language but I know it'll take years to become really proficient. Hoping to get good grades, some working experience, then port to Aussie or Canada

sorry I don't mean to derail from your present situation, I understand it's not quite easy for you at this time.

There's a course on hydrography at hafencity university Hamburg, their application is online and also through uniassist which I guess you earlier did. The course is top notch with nice accreditation from international bodies. They just opened the application about three days ago, and I guess their enrollment wont be too early owing to their late application schedule.

I will suggest you give it a try pls. I actually feel your pains and pray to see you dance joyfully like never before. All the very best brother. shalom
I get you're trying to be helpful, but anyone sending application now will have a hard time getting interview date for winter, except the admission decision is made within 2 weeks.

He should wait on Bremen, at least his status changed which is a little encouragement. Hopefully, that's not his only application

As you can see, I didn't reply your post but that of the guy who's complaining of people wasting a slot and looking for another one.

This kind of situation is the cause of our problem.
You have successfully wasted a booking slot and looking for another one.
Who knows how many people are in your situation cry
If we have all been following the protocol, there would have been more slots for all.
Let's be orderly and stop giving embassy wrong impression.
Well said, I doubt anyone get's those cancelled slots tbh. Cos even with the cancelling of dates, we don't hear of anyone given dates earlier than August

Anybody here who booked visa interview appointment today?

Please I need a feedback.

Booked since 6am but no response from the embassy yet.
Hope you sent the right docs or they'll ignore your mail. Moreover, they are getting loaded with mails now, so that might be the cause of the delay you are experiencing

This is not Uk.

Studyimg Engineering here in English is a tough task talkless of German. However, no harm in trying..80% of camerounians here study more crazy courses here with German as language of teaching.

Just avoid crazy and difficult uni like Jena and kiel with rhine waal...if you know..you know.
Bro you keep dropping key points here, why cloud them up in parables?

Please what's crazy and difficult about the Unis you stated?

You stated in your first comment that they would escape learning those subjects in German as if it's taught differently im English.

Well, my point is clear and simple. University isn't easy either whether you are learning in English or German..
Oh I get you now. Engineering is hard yes, but from my experience during undergraduate studies, if you're ready to study hard it won't be that difficult.

There's no escaping..... You will be taught by German professors in English right??
I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. Won't the professors take the courses in English if the course language is English?

I can see some people think because Studienkolleg is hard that University is easier therefore they choose to get their 100l transcript instead.

Look, if you must study here especially if you intend to study any STEM course, you have to be really smart. The education system in Nigeria can't be compared to the one here.

There's no easy route, you have to be prepared and hardworking too!....
But at least, you get to escape learning Maths, Physics and Chemistry in Deutsche
