olig: Please, if they ask me "why Germany" during VISA interview and I tell them, " I will rather go to Germany than to go to Europe" will I be be wrong please?
Happy independence
https://media./media/3o6ozvv0zsJskzOCbu/giphy.gif That answer is wrong and will give the VO the impression you didn't bother to do any research! You should talk about the perks of Germany especially getting free quality education. That's why it's important to go through past threads, the amount of information you'll gather from there would be beneficial. |

saxony2018: Okay. The address on my admission letter is Lagos. Tbh, It would be hard to convince them that you reside in Abuja then. You might try explaining your situation in the mail and that you won't mind doing the interview in Abuja. But nothing is sure, cos Germans are very strict and hate to bend their rules |

ubsilas: Alright. Thank you. I have gotten my Visa appointment already for July. I'm going to the consulate just for certification of the documents I submitted earlier via email. They need hard 'authenticated' copies. I was confused whether there is any application form I am supposed to go there with or the admission letter from the school is enough. The application form they are asking for, is the application form for those that are just applying to a German university and need to certify docs to send. Since you have already gotten admission but need to still send certified documents, you can use your admission letter. |

saxony2018: Thanks bro. The organization disburses directly to the school’s account, I really want to be clear on how to handle this. I was thinking there would be at least somebody here that has funded his/her German studies with a student loan.
I received my official admission letter today but really want this to be addressed before I book a visa appointment. I think Doplaz responded to this extensively, the likeliest way for student loan to be accepted is if it's blocked or it's seen as a scholarship or so. It seems your school pay fees yeah? If that's the case, if the student loan covers only tuition, I doubt that will count as sponsorship. |

saxony2018: Alright...I actually work and live in Lagos but I won’t mind flying to Abuja for the appointment. How about those that stay in places like port harcourt do they get to select their preferred embassy for visa appointment The thing is, Abuja is for only those that reside in Abuja. Even people that stay close to Abuja e.g Plateau state were given Lagos. Did your admission letter contain your Lagos address? |

Nigerians also work there at the embassy. Hmmm.... What would cause them to start giving exams? Hope some bad eggs haven't gone to put obstacles for those coming behind |

peemyke: I was about to quote him, until I saw your write-up. It's not about enrollment date. I would even advice people here to use whatever admission letter they have to apply for an interview date. Because August is getting full in Lagos. Exactly! 50% of people applying to Germany are not on Nairaland. There are lots of people applying and interview slots are getting filled, last winter semester was full of horror stories |

Recent development reveals that engineering students must take exam during interviews. Who has been "there"? The way you typed must, Chill let's confirm this development. The people going for interview soon would help us clarify the issue |

dailydolar: appointment dates are given according to enrollment date two people apply for appointment last week one was given august the other June so that's to yell you its according to enrollment That hasn't been confirmed yet. She was given early date cos she stays in Abuja. peemyke: I just got a date for my interview. I really thank God. I'm so happy. 8th June. peemyke: September, my interview is in Abuja Embassy, I have a Master programme admission plus I'm residing in Abuja. Master students residing in Abuja don't really have a problem. I have a friend that did her interview 5 days after applying. My enrollment deadline is same as hers, September. Yet I was scheduled for July. The luck that the person travelling in August would have is that some people are cancelling their dates because public unis haven't given them admission yet. |

Send again tomorrow, the early morning trick works very well cos your mail will be among the recent inbox when they resume, most of us sent btw 6-8.am and got reply before 11.am. You can put "APPLICATION FOR VISA APPOINTMENT" as your subject. Then also make sure you attach the 3 attachment requested, the finitba document is the 2 page Make the transfer file |

saxony2018: Greetings to everyone that is working towards making this thread value adding. I just got admitted to study MBA at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. Program starts on August 2018. I require few clarifications.
1. How early can I schedule my visa appointment and can I use the admission notification email from the school to apply?. Please note that I am expecting the official admission letter including the whole admission package.
2. I will be funding my study with a student loan (A UK company in partnership with the school) and would like to know how to address this during the visa application process. I mean the organization disburses all my money directly to the school.
3. What is the earliest appointment date that I can get?
Danke. No 1 has been answered satisfactorily by Kenthumpz and Victree, For No.2, PM one of the gurus to get a quick response, but I think the loan suffices as sponsorship, in the case that it also covers for monthly stipends. For No 3, I don't believe appointment dates are given out according to enrollment dates for Lagos, going by all the people who have gotten dates. Even going by last year, Lagos always seemed like first come, first serve. I think the hack for this would be using Abuja but I don't know how easy that would be. I'll leave others to shed more light on this |

Hokage94: Oga that is not true. It's a very wrong assumption. Moreover, when you put it like this, you give the "Nigerians" more reason to "hoard important info". So stop driving that edge and be more positive-minded like your conclusions. Dmainman is a Nigerian who shares info with everyone to the best of his ability. There are still many more like that, just because you haven't met them doesn't mean they don't exist. Moreover, what you might consider valuable information may even be irrelevant to the selection process. So if you have a specific question to ask, go ahead an ask. I'm positive someone in the right position to answer will do. Don't expect scholars to come and share everything they have with you. I am just trying to make common sense. So because someone said people should share info more, that would warrant people to hoard info? On the issue, there are people that come to Nairaland to get info and then disappear, meanwhile there are others that are active participants. I believe the active participants unfortunately don't have any info, hence they can't share anything. We all know what the other group would do if they had any valuable info that would benefit others. |

Sakasitay: Hi guys.
I'm happy to join this group. Hopefully, I am successful this winter semester. I was hoping to apply to University of Cologne , but my transcript wasn't ready on time. It took my school 2 months to process the student copy. Now I'm left with roughly three weeks, until the deadline. Do you think that Uniassist will be able to send my application before 15th June, that is, judging from your past experiences? You can still make it if you are fast about it. Hope you've paid your processing fee? |
