Are you using the same bank I used (Stanbic IBTC Bank)?
Was it their head office in Walter Carrington you went to??

If yes, then you have nothing to worry about.
Just be ready for the delay and the charges.
I am using Fidelity Bank, hopefully everything works fine. If it doesn't work, I'll fund from dorm acct.

Please is it compulsory to certify your letter of proficiency?
Since you're sending a photocopy, Yes!

Thanks Boss.
Congratulations Brethren. I'm using your guidelines concerning Form A. At the point when I was collecting the form from the account officer, she was adamant that, to use Form A, I must be paying directly into the school's acct not my blocked acct.

But I insisted on collecting the form still, told her we should still try since I know of someone that used it successfully of recent. Meanwhile, I have all the necessary documents required for the process.

Do I have any course to worry?

Thanks for these info.

Please how do I transfer money to my fintiba block account? I have created the account and I have all the accounts details. Pls help a brother
* Someone in Europe can help you with the transaction

* You can fund it from a Dorm acct here in Nigeria with an international transaction (You buy euros from black market and pay into your dorm acct)

* You can fund from a normal acct funded with the Naira equivalent plus extra charges, using Form A. This method might be slightly cheaper

It is ur opening confirmation letter that is needed. Make transfer documents is for you to print and keep for record purposes.
We have been using the Make the Transfer document and have been getting replies. It is more detailed than the Opening confirmation letter

PTDF is not only for oil and gas you can get other cources there too I applied for MSC chemistry but I never hear from them sha but check Daad.de
PTDF Scholarship is for Oil and Gas industry related courses only. Also they specify the institutions and courses you are allowed to take, which is so much of a restriction for most of us who wanted to apply

Hello house! Please who is going to University of Bremen in October? I paid my semester fee last week Friday and I'm yet to get a confirmation slip from the school. I have called and mailed them, no response yet. I'm beginning to get worried because the payment is due for 30th of June. (note the only thing I have is the Fund transfer telex copy)
Contact Dailydolar. He's the Bremen Captain on the forum grin

MaroCruz thanks a lot, remain blessed OK.
Please shebi I wil just pay for the number of days that I want to stay in Germany, 4 days..
Secondly why I was particular confused about weda Lagos or Abuja is that I work with a Federal Govt research institute and I have got an approval and sponsorship by my institute to go and present, thus is it stil Lagos? Cos u said abuja is for govt,am I among? Or is my case among?
Then I think Abuja can suffice then, since it's an official and also a short term visa. Visit https://nigeria.diplo.de/ng-en/service/visa/visa-application-procedure/1504734 and check #5 Visa Section in Abuja.

You can also make enquiries with the visa section of the German embassy https://nigeria.diplo.de/ng-en/vertretungen/botschaft/visa-abuja

1. Visa application should be Lagos, Abuja is used for official/government purposes and of recent for students residing in Abuja. Those who fall outside this category have to use Lagos.

2. Yes Business Visa can do, confirm yourself from https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/germany-visa/

3. As far as they issue travel insurance, no problem. Although, you can search for a better one

Bro.

I recognize your moniker from the PTDF thread. I see you got in for the FGC category, congrats.

I think it best that you let folks here know that your 'case' is very different; the way you applied, how you got the funding and the admission, and how you will get your visa. PTDF-DAAD will literally do everything for you.

I am saying this 'cos I am certain peeps will start asking you questions. This is to preclude the confusion that might stem from your answers.
Exactly! I asked him if he's a PTDF scholar and he chose to ignore. @Ahmed4002, you are passing information on postgraduate application procedure and scholarship application procedure while (intentionally) leaving out the fact that you're shortlisted for the PTDF award grant where everything will be done on their behalf.

Please endeavour to always share the full story so people don't get misguided. Someone here might attempt to apply without any form of proficiency in English proof because someone said he did so successfully and end up being rejected.

Bro, what about the Account number. What's it for?
IBAN is like your Account number with added details, written in a standard, internationally recognised format. It helps process your international payments automatically, making it faster.

I'm a bit confused.

All the programs I applied to are "restricted". I'm interested only in such programs, what will happen since the appointment booking is running out fast?

Has anyone been admitted for a restricted program and still get visa despite getting admission decision in August?
Admission decision in August is a death sentence. That's why we advocate for people to read past posts in the thread.

Last year, scarcity of appointment dates was a major issue, hence most of us avoided schools with late decision. You can still hope for the best and see how things go.

Abuja has already casted! Read back and you'll see the guy who used Abuja address but was delayed for 3 weeks only to be given Lagos after reapplying.

The embassy has already noticed we're abusing the Abuja option

They cancelled the whole thing and asked her to reapply... Still waiting for a reply from them.

Finally secured a visa date today. After almost 2week of torment filled with HBP, loss of weight and loss of appetite. I thought my village people dialed my number ooooooo. I latter found out that all mails sent using my phone always delivers double on the same page making it cumbersome and disorganized I guess that's why the embassy has been ignoring my mails. I had to send today's mail with a computer using an Abuja address and I was given a visa appointment in Lagos on the 23rd of August....

TUL
2 WEEKS??

The fact you got appointment in Lagos when you specified Abuja address is quite interesting

I need advice o. I got admitted to a school in Germany but the fees is like 12,900.

The other schools I applied to which are tuition free said they would send admission notifications by July ending. I know that this is not enough time to get a block account and get a visa before September.
Book Visa appointment with the admission letter you have, when the others come out, you can use any of them for the interview

With what I have read so far on this forum, no one is helping out those who with just ordinary waec result or ond. For whom it may concern, those with weac or ond can also gain admission into this German universities but first you need to apply for a preparatory course. Preparatory course if valid for one year in the institute and afterwards if you pass you would automatically gain admission into the school. Secondly for those that don’t know, you can also travel to German with the aim of studying with STUDENT APPLICANT VISA: if you want to study in Germany, but are still trying to find the right program or you still haven’t got the confirmation letter from your University. So don’t panic for those that don’t have Bsc, Hnd or 100 level transcript. You can use this information given you. Never say never!
Student Applicant Visa, from Nigeria??

Fake news? How many of you attended a program that was conducted by Goethe-Institut Lagos on the 5th of June 2018?
This que was asked by one of the guest that came from German embassy to honour the occasion and he said by July 15 the visa application wld be closing. I don't know if any further extension can later come up though.
Don't mind the doubters, I believe you.

Because going by the Lagos trend of getting appointment date 2 months plus after application, by July 15th, Only dates close to ending of September/ Start of October would be feasible.

1) My cgpa is 3.54/5.00 converted to a german grade according to uni assist is 2.09
2) Electrical and electronics engineering
3) To be honest, i cant really count the number of courses i applied to..i applied to communication engineering at TUM, Kassel, Tu ilmenau..applied to information engineering at HS rhein waal, applied to communication systems and networks at technical university of cologne. So many of them my brother.
4) aunthenticated transcripts, certificate, reference letters(not all requires reference letters), english lang proficiency letter, SOP, etc
What were the reasons for rejection given by the schools?

I know Communication Engineering at TUM is almost an elite course there, after evaluating you, you are invited to an interview if you meet their tough evaluation.

I applied and got admission to Communications and Signal Processing at Ilmenau. It was a straight forward process, as the assessment and statement of purpose was filled together with the application form.
